Apple updates Clips to include Memoji, Animoji, new stickers and more

With a new update, Apple's free video creation app called Clips now features the ability to include Memoji, Animoji, new stickers and more in your videos. iPhone and iPad users can add animated stickers and emoji that can now follow the movements of a user’s face for fun selfie videos using the front-facing camera. With the update, users will now be able to see the Memoji, that was created previously in the Messages app for iOS and iPadOS, automatically in Clips. Users can also layer their Animoji and Memoji video clips with all their favourite existing features in Clips like artistic filters, animated text, music, stickers and more. Users will also be given the option to edit their Animoji characters in a video post recording too. Clips 2.1 update will also include the 7 new Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse stickers, a "Let it snow" poster and support for right-to-left languages including Arabic and Hebrew. Realme true wireless earbuds launching in India in December alongside XT 730G [Update: Yellow, Black and White colors]

Update: realme has posted new teasers for the earbuds in Yellow, Black and White colors. The launch event is expected to be scheduled in the third week of this month. We should know the exact date soon. Earlier: Realme launched the most expected realme X2 Pro smartphone in India today along with the realme 5s smartphone, but it did not announce any other new accessories. However, at the end of the event Realme CEO Madhav Sheth showed of the company's first wireless earbuds. As you can see, the earbuds looks similar to the Apple Airpods, but it is in yellow color that goes with the company's yellow colored branding. He also said that the company plans to launch several products, so we can expect realme Fitness Band that was teased earlier. The company might be working on VOOC PowerBanks for the future. The Realme earbuds will be introduced along with the realme XT 730G (X2) next month. It is not clear if we can expect the rumored realme 6 as well. We will have to wait for few more weeks to know the exact launch date.

iPhone 11 series collects location data even when location services are switched off; Here’s why

Earlier this week, a report from security reporter Brain Krebs from krebsonsecurity.com showed how iPhone 11 devices running the latest iOS 13 would still be collecting data even when location services were turned off. Yesterday Apple responded to the information, explaining how it was by design for their new ultra wide band technology. Brian Krebs report shows a video of even when location services were individually turned off for each app, there seemed to some system service that was collecting data, evident by the tiny diagonal arrow that shows on the top bar of the phone. Apple initially responded to Krebs saying this was expected behaviour and failed to give further explanation giving rise to speculation that iOS had some location leaking bug that Apple refused to acknowledge. However, yesterday Apple gave a more detailed explanation, citing the spatial awareness feature that the iPhone 11 series comes with using its U1 chip. This chip uses ultra wide band technology that communicates with a variety of other wide band devices to achieve "spatial awareness" in space. Vivo introduced iQOO Neo with Snapdragon 845 in China in July, later in October it introduced the iQOO Neo Snapdragon 855 Edition, now it has introduced the new iQOO Neo 855 Racing Edition with the 855 Plus and up to 12GB RAM. Other specifications are similar including the 6.39-inch FHD+ water drop notch with 90.0% screen-to-body ratio, liquid cooling, Android Pie, 12-megapixel primary rear camera with Sony IMX363 sensor, 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 2-megapixel sensor for portrait shots. There is also a 16-megapixel camera on the front. Vivo X30 with Exynos 980 SoC, dual mode 5G support, Periscope telephoto lens to be announced on December 16

Update: December 6, 2019 — Vivo has confirmed that the X30 smartphone will be introduced at an event in China on December 16th. It recently said that the phone's camera will offer advanced portrait capabilities equivalent to 50mm DSLR lens. Another teaser already confirmed punch-hole display with minimal bezels.   Update: Vivo has posted a new teaser that shows the phone's glass body and also confirms periscope super telephoto lens for optical zoom and up to 60x digital zoom. Earlier: Vivo just announced that it will introduce flagship X30 smartphone in China next month. Qualcomm Snapdragon 7c 8nm and Snapdragon 8c 7nm Compute platforms for always on, always connected PCs announced

Qualcomm announced its next-generation Snapdragon 865, Snapdragon 765, and Snapdragon 865 7nm Mobile Platforms recently. Last year, the company also announced 8cx 7nm Compute Platform for thin. light, and always on, always connected Windows 10 PCs - Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx. Now, Qualcomm has announced the new Snapdragon 7c and Snapdragon 8c which joins the previously announced Snapdragon 8cx. The Snapdragon 7c compute platform has an Octa-core Kryo 468 CPU and Adreno 618 GPU, and the compute platform delivers a 25% boost in system performance. It too comes with Qualcomm AI Engine (Qualcomm Hexagon 692 DSP) that delivers over 5 TOPS (Trillion Operations Per Second) of performance. Regarding the connectivity, it has the Snapdragon X15 LTE modem with support for 800 Mbps LTE. But there is no option for 5G in this. Sony Xperia 1 and Xperia 5 Android 10 update starts rolling out

Sony introduced the Xperia 1 smartphone with 4K OLED HDR 21:9 display at MWC earlier this year and the company launched the Xperia 5 with 21:9 display recently at IFA this year. Both smartphones shipped with Android 9.0 (Pie) and now, Sony has started rolling out the Android 10 update to both Xperia 1 and Xperia 5. The new Android 10 update for Xperia 1 and Xperia 5 carries the build number 55.1.A.0.748 and comes with 1st November 2019 Android security patch instead of the December security patch. The old update carried the build number 55.0.A.10.26 (Xperia 1), 55.0.A.11.25 (Xperia 5) and came with the 1st October 2019 security update. This new update brings Android 10 features to the Xperia 1 and Xperia 5 as expected. HMD Global just announced the Nokia 2.3, the company’s latest budget Android One smartphone and the successor of Nokia 2.2 at an event in Egypt, as expected. It packs a 6.2-inch HD+ screen, is powered by MediaTek Helio A22 12nm SoC with 2GB RAM, runs Android 9.0 (Pie) with 2 years of Android and 3 years of security updates, has a 13-megapixel rear camera with AI low-light feature, HDR, secondary 2-megapixel depth sensing camera for Portrait Mode, 'Recommended Shot' feature that automatically captures alternate images before and after the shutter button is pressed and suggests the best one. It has a 5-megapixel camera on the front with support for Face Unlock, but it doesn’t have a fingerprint sensor. Nokia 9 PureView Android 10 update starts rolling out

HMD Global has started rolling out Android 10 update for its flagship Nokia 9 PureView smartphone, which makes it the second Nokia phone to get the update after the Nokia 8.1 in October. Android 10 brings number of additional privacy and security features for users, as well as Dark Theme, Smart Reply, Focus mode, dedicated ‘Privacy section’, and lots more. The Nokia 9 PureView Android 10 update V5.13D is about 1.4GB in size and has Android security patch for November.
