Google confirms Pixel 4’s Live HDR+ and Dual Exposure Controls will not be coming to older Pixel devices
Google has confirmed that Dual Exposure Controls and Live HDR+ features will be exclusive to the Pixel 4 and will not come to the older Pixel generations. These two features were some of the many upgrades to the Pixel camera and users of older Pixel devices will not be able to experience it in their phones due to a hardware requirement. During the Pixel 4 launch event, along with many other features, Dual exposure controls and Live HDR+ was announced as updates to the already excellent Pixel camera. Dual exposure controls allowed the user with more granular control on how they would like their HDR photos to look, that is, controls for how much the overall brightness would be and how dark the shadows would be. Live HDR+ allowed the user to have a live view of their HDR+ shots right in the viewfinder before the photo is clicked. HONOR 9X with Android operating system to launch in India by end of 2019 : Report
HUAWEI's HONOR brand announced the HONOR 9X and HONOR 9X PRO in China earlier this year. While the company unveiled the Vision TV in India recently, there was no word on the India launch of HONOR 9X. But now, HONOR has revealed that it will be launching HONOR 9X in India and it will be on Android operating system. In an interview to PTI recently, HONOR India President Charles Peng revealed the information regarding the HONOR 9X India launch and according to another report, the company is also planning to bring its ecosystem products to India and is altering its product strategy for the same. HONOR will be following an IoT product strategy called "1+8+N" wherein "1" signifies smartphones, "8" signifies TVs, speakers, watches, laptops, fitness bands, glasses, etc, and "N" represents ecosystem products which include mobile offices, smart homes, sports and health, audio-visual entertainment, and smart travel products. Reliance Jio recently started charging 6 paise per minute for voice calls made to non-Jio mobile networks. Today it has introduced new all-in-one plans that 2 GB/day along with unlimited voice, SMS, Apps as well as free additional 1000 minutes of offnet IUC calling to additional operators worth Rs. 80. Jio's existing 3-month 2GB per day pack will now cost only Rs 444 instead of 448 with additional 1000 min of offnet IUC min. 2-month plan costs Rs. 333 against earlier cost of 396 with the same 1000 min of offnet IUC min. Google to fix iPhone bug that gives users free original quality ‘HEIC’ photo backups
Right After the Pixel 4 launch, we found out the Pixel 4 users will no longer get free original quality backup for their photos like the earlier Pixel phones. Soon after this news, a user on the r/Apple subreddit explained with a post about how Apple iPhone users have been getting free original quality unlimited backup of their photos as iPhones store their photos in HEIC format. In the post, Redditor u/stephenvsawyerr explains how all recent iPhones have been clicking their photos in HEIC format which is a new compressed and more efficient format. This makes the file size even smaller than Googles own compressed JPEG which leads to Google photos simply backing up iPhone photos in full original quality. Therefore, iPhone users essentially have had a Pixel exclusive feature for quite a while and might continue to have while Pixel 4 user will not.
