OPPO K5 with 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, Snapdragon 730G, 64MP quad rear cameras, in-display fingerprint scanner announced

OPPO just announced K5, the company's latest mid-range smartphone in the K series in China, as it had promised. The phone packs a 6.4-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with 91.9% screen-to-body ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It is powered by Snapdragon 730G with up to 8GB of RAM, runs Android 9.0 (Pie) with ColorOS 6.0 and packs a 64-megapixel primary rear camera with 1/1.72″ Samsung GW1 sensor and f/1.8 aperture. It has a 8MP 119° ultra-wide angle lens with 1.12μm pixel size, f/2.25 aperture, 2MP depth sensor and 2MP camera for 4cm macro with 1.75μm pixel size, f/2.4 aperture are same. The phone also has AI scene recognition, Chrome boost, Super nightscape and Expert mode. There is also EIS support for video. It has a 32-megapixel camera on the front. Amazon Alexa gets support for multi-lingual mode in India, enables seamless language switching

Amazon Alexa recently got support for interactions in Hindi or Hinglish and it let users interact with Alexa to ask for music, get Bollywood or sports updates and much more in Hindi or Hinglish. Today, Amazon has announced that Alexa is getting support for multi-lingual mode in India which enables users to seamlessly switch between English and Hindi language. With the new multi-lingual mode, the language switch when talking to Alexa can be done without changing the language setting from Hindi to English and the other way around every time. Microsoft Windows 10 latest preview brings ‘Calls’ feature letting users answer Android calls on a PC

Microsoft has started rolling out Windows 10 Preview Build 18999 (20H1) to Fast ring testers and finally brings the 'Calls' feature that was announced back in August. Alongside the new 'Calls' feature, the preview build also brings changes to the ability to move & resize Cortana’s window, general changes, improvements, and fixes for PC. In order to use the Calls feature users will need a handset running Android 7.0 or higher, Windows 10 (build 18362.356) PC with Bluetooth support, and 'Your Phone' Android app. With the Calls feature, users can answer incoming phone calls on their PC, initiate phone calls from their PC using in-app dialer or contact list, decline incoming phone calls with custom text or send directly to the phone’s voicemail, access recent call history on their PC. Reliance Jio customers will now have to pay 6 paise per minute for voice calls to other mobile operators

Reliance Jio just announced that its customers will now have to pay 6 paise per minute for voice calls made to non-Jio mobile networks starting from today. This is not charged for incoming calls or calls to landline. Jio also said that it will compensate customers by giving free data of equal value of the top up vouchers. This talk time amount will get deducted at 6 paise per minute when you make outgoing calls to other operators. Apple said to launch AR glasses that relies on iPhone in Q2 2020

Update: October 9, 2019: Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo in a new research note has said that Apple's augmented reality headset will enter mass production in fourth quarter of 2019 and launch in Q2 2020.  He added that Apple will partner with third-party brands for the AR headset, with Changying Precision tipped to be the main chassis supplier. This is said to be marketed as an iPhone accessory and primarily take a display role while wirelessly offloading computing, networking, and positioning to the iPhone. Apple's long-rumoured head-mounted AR device will be ready by the middle of next year, according to the most reliable Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. Ming-Chi Kuo, who has always been accurate with Apple predictions has stated that mass production of AR headset could start as soon as the fourth quarter of 2019 and not beyond the second quarter of 2020. Furthermore, the company is planning to scrape a standalone device plan and expected to rely on the iPhone instead.
