Samsung Galaxy Fit Review
To date, Samsung has tried and tested wearables in various form factors, including smartwatches and fitness bands, in an attempt to find the middle ground. Recently, the South Korean giant refreshed its fitness tracker lineup with the Galaxy Fit, which is expected to compete Fitbit Inspire HR, Mi Band 4, and Honor Band 5 in terms of features. As per the company claims, the Galaxy Fit is made for all types of fitness enthusiasts, from casual runners to athletes. Is the Galaxy Fit a worthy device at Rs. 8,999? Design In terms of design, the Galaxy Fit looks minimal and straightforward. At just 23 grams, it is incredibly light, and I didn't feel the band during my sleep. It comes in two variants -- a black case with a black silicone wristband or a silver case with a white wristband. In our case, we tried out the silver case variant. These bands are removable, which means you are not stuck with one color either. Even though we felt comfortable wearing this all day and night, it does have an annoying strap where the silicone band slides through an opening that allows you to adjust the fit. Changing the pin some times feels like ...
Google will require new devices launched after January 31, 2020 to run Android 10: Report
Google unveiled Android Q earlier this year and later renamed it to Android 10. It was released for Pixel smartphones recently and other OEMs are gradually rolling out the update. Now, a new report reveals that Google will require all new devices to run Android 10 if approved after January 31, 2020. A document obtained by XDA Developers reveals that Google will stop approving GMS (Google Mobile Services) distribution on devices that won't ship with Android 10 or in other words, ship with an older version of Android, if approved after January 31st, 2020. Similarly, Google will stop approving devices that ship with Android 9 Pie after the launch of Android 11 which will happen next year. Google Mobile Services consist of Google apps, libraries, and services and OEMs must license in order to pre-install it on Android devices. Although the deadline for getting approval is January 31st, 2020, OEMs can still get approval for their upcoming devices to run Android 9 Pie before the approval window closes. With this move, Google aims to streamline the software update process and will ensure that all brands provide timely updates to its users so that Google will be able to provide timely security updates. Andy Rubin teases a radically re-imagined compact smartphone – GEM
Andy Rubin, creator of Android and CEO of Essential just tweeted out a colorful glimpse into one of the most radically re-imagined compact smartphones we have ever seen. It's long, it's thin, there's a huge camera at the back and also a fingerprint scanner. The guys at Essential call this device "GEM" and the first tweet from Andy (after almost an year) shows how color-shifty the design is. But it didn't stop there. https://twitter.com/Arubin/status/1181688540540764160 Then came photos of the side of the phone that actually matters. Yes, that's definitely Google Maps running on the "GEM". Let's start from the top of the phone. There's an ear piece grill right at the top, the bezels all around the phone are equidistant (apparently that was super hard to achieve on this phone), right below the ear piece seems to be a "notch" area and my guess is, the punch hole houses a front facing camera. Besides that, in software, you see an arrow and a battery indicator in that top area of the UI which is blank. Below that is of course the entire Maps UI reformatted to suit this new radically redesigned form factor. In this image, we can see a different page of the ...
OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition teased ahead of launch on October 10
OnePlus partnered with McLaren for the OnePlus 6T McLaren edition last year. Now the company has started teasing the launch of new McLaren edition phone, which should be the OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition. The company said that the OnePlus 6T McLaren edition sold-out across the world in a matter of weeks. Based on earlier rumors, the 7T Pro McLaren Edition is expected to pack 12GB of RAM and could feature a similar carbon fiber finish under the glass and light streaks across the McLaren logo, illuminating and disappearing in an instant. Other specifications should be similar to the OnePlus 7T Pro, but it is not clear if we can expect a faster charging technology compared to the Warp Charge 30T used in OnePlus 7T. We should know the price and other details at the October 10th event in London. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2fc4IBbCM50 Pete Lau, Founder and CEO of OnePlus, said: We’ve long been inspired by the McLaren brand spirit as an established company that continues to innovate. The public reaction to the OnePlus 6T McLaren edition was incredible, users enjoyed seeing us working together to push boundaries, and we are thrilled to continue working together.
Sony PlayStation 5 with 3rd Gen Ryzen CPU, new controller with haptic technology and adaptive triggers launching 2020-end
Sony has finally confirmed that its PlayStation 5, the next-generation gaming console will launch for the Holidays 2020. To remind you, Sony introduced the PlayStation 4 back in 2013, and the PlayStation 4 Pro was introduced in 2016. Sony has also confirmed that the new console will come with a new controller with haptic feedback that will replace the “rumble” technology found in controllers since the 5th generation of consoles. "With haptics, you truly feel a broader range of feedback, so crashing into a wall in a race car feels much different than making a tackle on the football field. You can even get a sense for a variety of textures when running through fields of grass or plodding through mud," said the company. It will also have new adaptive triggers, which have been incorporated into the trigger buttons (L2/R2). Developers can program the resistance of the triggers so that you feel the tactile sensation of drawing a bow and arrow or accelerating an off-road vehicle through rocky terrain. In combination with the haptics, this can produce a powerful experience that better simulates various actions. Sony said that it has started sending Game creators the early versions of the new controller. There will also ...
Letstrack Special GPS tracking for bikes and cars
Unlike just 10 years ago, GPS tracking is ubiquitous in our lives these days, whether it is waiting for your Uber, waiting for food delivery or even just to find which railway station is next in your journey. But in all these scenarios, the end user is the constant, which means the tracking is entirely dependent on the smartphone which acts as the tracking device, but what if we want to track "things" instead of users? Like what do we do to track our cars or bikes? This is where companies like Letstrack come into play. With their products, we will be able to track, locate or even turn off our machines remotely, giving you complete control, constant oversight and a peace of mind. We tested out the Special GPS tracking device that can be used to track motorbikes, here's how our experience went. How the Letstrack device works is really simple. It's a GPS unit with a cellular component. When you order for a device, it comes with a subscription for the GSM component and the server on the cloud in which you will be able to see the data and control your bike. Yes, this is exactly like those ...
