Redmi 8 launching in India on October 9, could feature 6.2-inch display, dual rear cameras, 5000mAh battery

Update: October 3, 2019 — Xiaomi has confirmed that Redmi 8 will launch in India on October 9th. Earlier: Redmi 8 with model number M1908C3IC got certified by TENAA in China last month which revealed its specifications. At the end of Redmi 8A online launch, Xiaomi India head and VP Manu Jain asks "But, What about the Redmi 8, weren't we supposed to launch it today?" He gets a response saying that it's for the next launch. May be we can expect the details about the Redmi Note 8 series at the Redmi 8 launch since those are also expected in October. Based on earlier rumors, the phone will feature a 6.26-inch HD+ Dot Notch screen, feature a 12-megapixel rear camera, which could be the same Sony IMX363 sensor, 1.4μm pixel size, f/1.9 aperture sensor Dual PD auto focus featured in the Redmi 8A, and also adds 5-megapixel depth sensor. Processor details are not know yet, but it will pack the same 5000mAh  battery with 18W fast charging. This is also said to feature a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. Microsoft at a hardware event in New York including new Surface Laptop 3, Surface Pro 7 2-in-1, Surface Pro X 2-in-1, Surface Neo, and accessories. There were rumours on the development of Surface Earbuds earlier this year and today Microsoft has officially unveiled the new Surface Earbuds true wireless earbuds. Microsoft Surface Earbuds features a secure design with intuitive touch and voice controls for music, calls and more. There are four individual anchor points lock the earbuds securely into place once they are positioned in your ears. The touch surface supports gesture like touch, tap, swipe and voice control music, calls and more. You can swipe up or down to change volume, swipe back or forward to change tracks, double-tap to pause music and make calls, or touch and hold to activate your personal digital assistant. It features a 13.6mm driver with a frequency response of 20 –20 kHz, dual microphones per earbud, and supports SBC and aptX audio codecs. Microsoft Surface Duo Android smartphone features dual 5.6-inch screens that unfold into a 8.3-inch tablet

Along with Surface Neo, dual-screen device that runs Windows 10X, Microsoft also introduced Surface Duo, a new Surface smartphone that runs Android. It has two paper-thin 5.6-inch screens that unfold to 8.3-inch tablet. You can make phone calls and the 360° hinge lets you use it in a variety of modes, said Microsoft. The Surface Duo comes with Google Play Store and runs Microsoft Launcher. The teaser video it also showed Project xCloud Xbox game streaming running on the dual-screen display.  In the future, developers will be able to leverage special APIs that detect when a game is streaming to a small-screen device, including foldable devices and bring up the necessary controls to make it work. After rumors, Microsoft has officially introduced its new Surface Neo dual-screen device that have two 9-inch screens connected by a 360-degree full-friction hinge. This opens into a full-size 13-inch display with thinnest LCD in its class. Google Search, Maps and Google Assistant now let you to search over 57000 public sanitation facilities across India

Google has been adding new features to Google Maps lately including India specific features like 'Stay Safer', live train status, speed limits and speed traps and more. The latest addition to Google Maps is the ability to search over 57,000 public toilets in 2300+ cities across India and it also works with Google Search and Google Assistant. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wpEMADe0L7I Google, back in 2016 collaborated with the Swachh Bharat Mission, Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs, to help users across India to locate public toilets within Google Maps. Google says that over 2.5 lakh users now search for public toilets every month across Search and Maps, and they have worked closely with the Ministry to update Maps with key information about public toilets from across India. Xiaomi could introduce Mi CC9 Pro with Snapdragon 730G, 108MP camera on October 24

Xiaomi introduced  Mi CC9 and Mi CC9e smartphones in China back in July. The Mi CC9e was later introduced as Mi A3 in the Android One lineup. Now new rumors from China have surfaced saying that Mi CC9e Pro in the CC series could be introduced at the end of October. This is rumored to sport a curved screen from Visionox, pack 108MP Samsung sensor that made its debut in the Mi MIX Alpha concept phone with Surround Display that was introduced last month. This is said to be powered by Snapdragon 730G processor, which would make this the first Xiaomi phone with 730G, since K20 smartphone only has Snapdragon 730. The Mi CC9 Pro could compete with the recently-announced realme X2 that is also powered by Snapdragon 730G, but features 64MP quad rear cameras. Other specs such as camera details and battery capacity are not known yet. The Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro is rumored to be introduced in China on October 24.
