Google Search, Maps and Google Assistant now let you to search over 57000 public sanitation facilities across India
Google has been adding new features to Google Maps lately including India specific features like 'Stay Safer', live train status, speed limits and speed traps and more. The latest addition to Google Maps is the ability to search over 57,000 public toilets in 2300+ cities across India and it also works with Google Search and Google Assistant. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wpEMADe0L7I Google, back in 2016 collaborated with the Swachh Bharat Mission, Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs, to help users across India to locate public toilets within Google Maps. It was launched as a pilot program in New Delhi, Bhopal, and Indore and now Google Maps allows you to search over 57,000 public toilets in 2,300+ cities across India. Google says that over 2.5 lakh users now search for public toilets every month across Search and Maps, and they have worked closely with the Ministry to update Maps with key information about public toilets from across India. The Ministry also took ownership of these listings on Google Maps, so they could monitor visits, ratings, reviews and more. Starting today, users can just search for ‘public toilets near me’ on Google Search, the Google Assistant or Google Maps to receive instant results. Source
Xiaomi could introduce Mi CC9 Pro with Snapdragon 730G, 108MP camera on October 24
Xiaomi introduced Mi CC9 and Mi CC9e smartphones in China back in July. The Mi CC9e was later introduced as Mi A3 in the Android One lineup. Now new rumors from China have surfaced saying that Mi CC9e Pro in the CC series could be introduced at the end of October. This is rumored to sport a curved screen from Visionox, pack 108MP Samsung sensor that made its debut in the Mi MIX Alpha concept phone with Surround Display that was introduced last month. This is said to be powered by Snapdragon 730G processor, which would make this the first Xiaomi phone with 730G, since K20 smartphone only has Snapdragon 730. The Mi CC9 Pro could compete with the recently-announced realme X2 that is also powered by Snapdragon 730G, but features 64MP quad rear cameras. Other specs such as camera details and battery capacity are not known yet. The Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro is rumored to be introduced in China on October 24. Garmin, the brand which is known for its wide range of smartwatches has now announced its new luxury smartwatch - Garmin MARQ Commander. It features an always-on display, built-in topographical maps, tactical functions, activity tracking and more. The MARQ Commander sports a 1.2-inch display with a resolution of 240 x 240 pixels along with always-on functionality. It is made of premium materials like stealth matte design, a purpose-built domed sapphire lens, matte diamond-like carbon-coated titanium bezel and tritone jacquard-weave strap. It features dual-format GPS coordinates, built-in topographical maps, tactical functions with a new kill switch function that when activated, clears the user memory. It also supports smart notifications, music apps, daily activity tracking, stress score, etc. There is also a dedicated stealth mode, which when enabled stops storing and sharing GPS position and disables wireless connectivity and communication. It is preloaded with topographic mapping and navigation features. MIUI 11 New Features and First look on Redmi Note 7 Pro
Xiaomi announced the latest iteration of its own proprietary Android skin MIUI, dubbed MIUI 11 along with Mi 9 Pro 5G, Mi MIX Alpha 5G, and Mi AirDots Pro 2 at an event in China earlier this week. Motorola One Macro, the company's next-generation smartphone in the One series has surfaced on a Saudi Arabian retail website, before it was removed.
