Xiaomi releases kernel source for Redmi Note 8 Pro [Update: Redmi Note 8 as well]

Update: September 21, 2019 - Xiaomi has also released Android Pie based Kernel codes for the Redmi Note 8 (codename ‘ginkgo’). You can download the kernel source from the GitHub source at the end of the article. Earlier: Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro at an event in China on August 28th, and as per an official announcement, the duo is expected to be launched in India in October. Now, the company has released Android Pie based Kernel codes for the Redmi Note 8 Pro (codename ‘begonia’). Mercury HS 109 wired Neodymium headphones launched for Rs. 300

Mercury which is a brand of Kobian Pte Ltd. known for its range of accessories has today launched a new stereo headphone - Mercury HS 109. It comes after the launch of Mercury Harmony, Wave, and Boom multimedia speakers in India recently. Mercury HS 109 is a wired headphone with a cable length of 2.2 meters. This headphone is built with Neodymium to produce higher sensitivity and substantial sound output using less power, according to the company and they produce music at quite a high SPL level (sound pressure level) with the use of high magnetic flux from Neodymium. The company claims that the sound definition produced and base performance on the HS 109 is 8 times better than a ferrite magnet. It is a plug and play device, has a 40mm driver unit and a maximum power of 100mW. Xiaomi Mi MIX Alpha with curved screen to be announced on September 24

Xiaomi already confirmed that it will introduce new Mi MIX 5G concept phone on September 24th along with Mi 9 Pro 5G. Today Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun shared an image of the Mi MIX Alpha with a curved screen with high screen-to-body ratio. He also confirmed that it is not the foldable phone that was showcased earlier this year, and other teaser confirmed this. Earlier reports said that the phone will pack 108MP Samsung sensor along with a 16MP ultra wide-angle lens and a  12MP periscope lens. It is said to be powered by Snapdragon 855 Plus with up to 12GB RAM and run MIUI 11. It is expected to come with support for reverse charging on the back. Xiaomi will introduce MIUI 11, Mi 9 Pro 5G with support four types of charging: wired fast charging, 30W wireless flash charging, wired OTG reverse charging and wireless reverse charging and new Mi TV models at the event in China next week. OPPO 30W VOOC 4.0 Flash Charge can charge 4000mAh battery up to 67% in 30 minutes, will debut in realme X2

Earlier this week OPPO introduced its 30W VOOC 4.0 Flash Charge fast charging, an upgrade to 20W VOOC 3.0 that is used in its current devices. OPPO already said that this will debut in K5 smartphone, successor of the K3. Today realme has confirmed that realme X2 will feature the 30W fast charging technology. The phone will be introduced in China on September 24th. The 30W Wireless VOOC Flash Charge allows a 4000mAh battery to be charged to 67% in 30 minutes and 100% in 73 minutes, 12% faster than previous generation. In comparison, the company shows 18W charger can charge 4500mAh battery up to 39% in 30 minutes, which should be the Redmi Note 8 Pro. 10W charge can charge 4000mAh batery only up to 34% in 30 minutes says the company.
