Dell refreshes XPS 13, Inspiron and Vostro lineup of laptops with new 10th Gen Intel Comet Lake processors

Intel announced new 10th Gen Intel Core mobile PC processors (code-named ‘Comet Lake’) in the U-series and Y-series for thin-and-light laptop and 2-in-1s recently. Today, Dell has announced that it is updating XPS 13 and Inspiron range of laptops with the new 10th Gen Intel Comet Lake CPUs. Dell XPS Dell XPS 13 is refreshed with up to i7 Hexa-Core Intel 10th Gen Core U series CPU. It sports a 13.3-inch InfinityEdge display with 4K options and comes with the new 'Killer AX1650 (2×2)' built on Intel Wi-Fi 6 chipset. The RAM and storage options include up to LPDDR3 Dual-Channel 16GB SDRAM and up to 2TB PCIe SSD storage respectively. The graphics duties are handled by Intel UHD graphics and it features 2x2W stereo speakers and 52Whr battery. XPS 13 price starts at US$ 899( Rs. 64,670 approx.), will be available from August 27th in the US and the high-end model with Hexa-Core CPU will be available in October. Google confirms Android Q will be called Android 10, refreshes Android brand logo and color

Google unveiled Android in 2007 and the first commercial device with Android operating system launched in 2008. The company has been introducing new design and features with every Android version and after a long time now, Google is updating the logo and brand colour of Android and is changing the way the releases are made. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l2UDgpLz20M The next release of Android will be called Android 10 instead of Android Q and it won't be named based on any dessert, instead will simply be based on the version number. The internal code for every Android version is based on tasty treats, or desserts, in alphabetical order. But, Google says that the names weren’t always understood by everyone in the global community and hence the change. The Android logo and brand colour were refreshed by Google back in 2014 and now, Google is updating the logo and brand colour of Android with a more modern, accessible look and the colour of the logo is changed from Green to Black. Google says that the design of the logo draws inspiration from the Android robot. Google will officially start using the updated logo in the coming weeks with the final release of Android 10. Source

HMD Global confirms Android Q update for range of Nokia smartphones, roll out begins Q4 2019

Google is all set to roll out Android 10.0 (Q) for its Pixel devices soon since it has pushed the final Android Q beta 6 update for the phone. After HUAWEI,  HMD Global has confirmed Android Q update for its Nokia smartphones that were launched last year and this year. New Nokia 7.1, 8.1 and Nokia 9 PureView will get the update first in Q4 2019, and the update will continue for older phones in Q1 2020 and Q2 2020. Older Nokia 8, Nokia 6, Nokia 5 and Nokia 3 that recently got security update extension for an additional year are not in the list. Realme will have its biggest launch in India in September

Earlier this week realme launched its much-hyped realme 5 Series smartphone in India at an event in New Delhi. Samsung Galaxy A50s and Galaxy A30s with Super AMOLED displays, In-display fingerprint scanner, triple rear cameras announced

Samsung just announced Galaxy A50s and A30s, the company's latest mid-range smartphones, few months after Galaxy A50 and A30 that were introduced earlier this year. The Galaxy A50 has the 6.4-inch Full HD+ Infinity-U Super AMOLED display, is powered by the Exynos 7 Series 9610 10nm processor with up to 6GB of RAM and runs Android Pie, but this has upgraded 48-megapixel primary rear camera and a 32-megapixel front camera, while the 8-megapixel 123° ultra-wide and 5-megapixel depth sensor on the back are the same. The Super Steady feature on Ultra Wide camera lets you shoot smooth, flawless videos, even for fast-paced action moments, says the company. The A30s has a 6.4-inch HD+ Infinity-V Super AMOLED screen compared to FHD+ Infinity-U screen on the A30. It has the same Exynos 7904 octa-core 14nm SoC with up to 4GB of RAM and runs Android Pie, but this comes with a 25-megapixel rear camera with f/1.7 aperture along with an 8-megapixel 123° ultra-wide and 5-megapixel depth sensor and retains the 16-megapixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture. Bose Home Speaker 300 with 360-degree sound, Google Assistant and Alexa launched in India

Bose has launched Home Speaker 300 in India that joins the Home Speaker 500 that was launched last year.  It promises powerful bass and true 360-degree sound — unlike conventional smart speakers that deliver a narrow beam of audio based on what they’re facing, has an aluminum design, and is compatible with all other Bose smart speakers for multi-room listening. Redmi K20 Review

Xiaomi's Redmi brand launched the Redmi K20 smartphone along with the Redmi K20 Pro in India last month making it the first Redmi series to cross Rs. 20,000 price tag. Even though it has the same  6.39-inch Full HD+ AMOLED screen with in-display fingerprint scanner, premium glass back, as the K20 Pro, it is powered by Snapdragon 730 SoC compared to  Snapdragon 855 SoC, doesn't have graphite 3D sheet, comes only in 6GB RAM version, lacks 4K 60 fps video recording, loses Hi-Fi DAC and doesn't support 27W Sonic Charge fast charging. Google rolls out complete visual redesign for Play Store for all users

Google Play Store is home to numerous apps and has over two billion monthly active users. In an attempt to improve the overall user experience, the search engine giant has rolled out a complete visual redesign for all the users after testing it recenetly. As per the company claims, this update delivers a cleaner, more premium store that improves app discovery and accessibility. Furthermore, the company has also updated a new navigation bar at the bottom of the Play Store on mobile devices and new left navigation on tablets and Chrome OS. The new update now provides two distinct destinations for games and apps. Once users find the right app or game, the updated store listing page layout surfaces richer app information at the top of each page as well as a more prominent call-to-action button. LG K50S with 6.5-inch FullVision display, triple rear cameras and K40S with military-level durability announced

LG has announced K50s and K40s smartphones in the K series ahead of IFA 2019, after the K50 and K40 were introduced at the MWC earlier this year. These phones have a 19.5:9 aspect ratio HD+ FullVision Display, are MIL-STD-810G compliant that can withstand impact, vibration, high temperature, low temperature, thermal shock, and humidity, are powered by 2GHz Octa-Core SoC, feature rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and have a dedicated Google Assistant button. The LG K50S sports three rear cameras: 13MP with PDAF, 5MP Super Wide Angle, and 2MP lens with Depth Sensor, while the LG K40S has 13MP lens with PDAF and 5MP Super Wide Angle.  These also have a 13-megapixel front camera. These have 4,000mAh and 3,500mAh batteries, respectively, slightly bigger than the predecessor. These have DTS:X 3D Surround Sound that simulates a 7.1-channel surround sound system to make any content more immersive when playing games, streaming movies or music via earphones.
