OPPO Reno 2 with 6.5-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, quad rear cameras gets certified ahead of India launch on August 28

Last week OPPO confirmed that it will launch the Reno 2 smartphone in India on August 28th. Today the phone has been certified by TENAA in China with the model numbers PCKM00 and PCKT00, revealing the specifications. The company already revealed 48-megapixel rear camera, 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, 13-megapixel telephoto lens for 5x Hybrid Zoom and up to 20x Digital Zoom and a 2-megapixel depth sensor for portraits. It will feature a 16-megapixel side-lifting camera on the top, similar to Reno. Realme Buds 2 with 11.2mm bass boost driver, dual tangle-free cable launched in India for Rs. 599

At the Realme 5 series launch, the company also launched the Realme Buds 2 successor of the Realme Buds that was launched last year. These have 11.2 mm bass boost audio drivers. These retain the magnetic locking from the predecessor, so that it makes carrying and tidying the earphones easy. There is multi-layer composite diaphragm and Japan Daikoku Voice Coil that promises the best bass in the price range. With the sound aggregation technology, the coaxial capsule design allows the 11.2mm movable coil to deliver Hi-Fi music without any interruption, according to the company. It has reinforced braided jacket and two evenly grooved TPU cables that make the earphones tangle-free. In addition, there is an adjustable cable strap to keep the earphone tidy. The ear tips are bent 45° for a snug wear and is comfortable even after long hours of use. It has a three-button in-line remote. The Realme Buds 2 comes in Black color, is priced at Rs. 599 and will go on sale from realme.com starting from September 4th. Realme 5 Pro Unboxing and First Impressions

Realme XT 64MP quad camera phone launching in India in September

Realme at the realme 5 and realme 5 Pro launch event today confirmed that it will launch the realme XT, the company's first 64-megapixel quad camera phone in September, after confirming earlier this month that it will launch before Diwali. Earlier rumors said that it will be called realme X Pro. The 64MP phone will use 1/72″ 0.8-micrometer (μm) pixel 64MP ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor. The company at the ‘Camera Innovation Event’ few weeks back said that it has worked closely with Samsung to bring the best of 64MP camera. The 64MP camera uses 4-in-1 pixel binning to offer image with 1.6μm in the Ultra Nightscape mode. In addition to the main 64MP camera, it willl feature Super wide angle, Ultra Macro and Telephoto lens. It will also have Expert Mode, Nightscape and Chrome Boost. The company already said that it will set up R&D centers in India to integrate camera innovations by realme more efficiently to serve every Indian consumer in a better way. Since the phone will be introduced by the end of September, it might go on sale sometime in October.

Redmi Note 7 Series sales cross 20 million units globally

Xiaomi’s Redmi brand introduced the first Redmi Note 7 smartphone in China back in January, and the Redmi Note 7 Pro made its global debut  in India in February. Today the company has announced that the combined sales of Redmi Note 7 and Note 7 Pro have hit 20 million units globally in about seven months of launch. Amazfit Smart Sports Watch 3 with AMOLED display to be announced on August 27

Huami Technology today confirmed that it will announce Smart Sports Watch 3, successor of last year's model in China on August 27th. The company's CEO Huang Wang confirmed the name of the smartwatch after the company posted  'Run, Amazfit! Run!' invite, inspired from 'Run, Forrest! Run!' from the movie Forrest Gump. The company also sent invites to the media with running shoes and running tees. Huami's VP last week posted the official image of the smartwatch that looks similar to the Apple Watch with a curved screen. He also said that the Amazfit smartwatch will feature 341 PPI AMOLED screen, compared to the 326 PPI on all the Apple Watch models. He also said that it will be cheaper than the Apple Watch Series 4, but did not reveal if it will have ECG and Fall detection. The Amazfit Smart Sports Watch 2 that was introduced last year won reddot design award 2018 and Good Design Award 2018, making it one of the popular smartwatches. The successor will likely come with improved internals including a faster processor, Bluetooth 5.0, 5ATM (50m) water resistance, and probably a bigger battery for improved battery life.
