Redmi Note 7 Series sales cross 20 million units globally

Xiaomi’s Redmi brand introduced the first Redmi Note 7 smartphone in China back in January, and the Redmi Note 7 Pro made its global debut  in India in February. Today the company has announced that the combined sales of Redmi Note 7 and Note 7 Pro have hit 20 million units globally in about seven months of launch. It hit 10 million mark back in May, and hit 15 million sales mark last month, so it has added 5 million just a month. #RedmiNote7 series global sales volume now exceeds 20 million units. Amazfit Smart Sports Watch 3 with AMOLED display to be announced on August 27

Huami Technology today confirmed that it will announce Smart Sports Watch 3, successor of last year's model in China on August 27th. The company's CEO Huang Wang confirmed the name of the smartwatch after the company posted  'Run, Amazfit! Run!' invite, inspired from 'Run, Forrest! Run!' from the movie Forrest Gump. The company also sent invites to the media with running shoes and running tees. Huami's VP last week posted the official image of the smartwatch that looks similar to the Apple Watch with a curved screen. He also said that the Amazfit smartwatch will feature 341 PPI AMOLED screen, compared to the 326 PPI on all the Apple Watch models. He also said that it will be cheaper than the Apple Watch Series 4, but did not reveal if it will have ECG and Fall detection. The Amazfit Smart Sports Watch 2 that was introduced last year won reddot design award 2018 and Good Design Award 2018, making it one of the popular smartwatches. The successor will likely come with improved internals including a faster processor, Bluetooth 5.0, 5ATM (50m) water resistance, and probably a bigger battery for improved battery life. Vivo NEX 3 5G smartphone with no-notch ‘waterfall screen’ teased in official image

After posting sketches of the upcoming NEX smartphone, Vivo general manager has now posted the first official image of the phone that shows the phone's 'waterfall screen' which is curved on the sides. This shows minimal bezels and no-notch screen, so it is not clear if the phone has a pop-up front camera since under display camera tech might not be ready yet. Earlier rumors revealed that NEX 3 will feature almost 90° curved sides offering high screen-to-body ratio. Last week he posted a sketch of the phone showing off the design that also revealed triple rear cameras arranged inside a circle, inspired by mechanical watches. He also confirmed 5G support for the phone via a screenshot that showed 5G logo, so it will likely be powered by Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC combined with Qualcomm’s X50 modem for 5G connectivity. Last month OPPO showed off the images of its upcoming bezel-less smartphone prototype with ‘Waterfall Screen’ technology, which could debut OPPO Find X second-generation. HUAWEI gets 90-day extension from US Government to do business with US suppliers

Earlier this year, Google announced that it has suspended some of its business operations with HUAWEI which includes a ban on using Google Services and Play Store and later the US Government said that it will allow the US companies to sell their equipment to HUAWEI Technologies Co. Now, according to a new report, the US Government grants HUAWEI 90 days extension to do business with US suppliers. HUAWEI will get another 90 days from the US Government to buy and stock up supplies from US suppliers in order to service its existing users. It got a temporary trade license after it was blacklisted by the US Government and it comes to an end on August 19th, 2019. The US Government says that the 90-day extension given to HUAWEI is intended to afford consumers across America the necessary time to transition away from Huawei equipment, given the persistent national security and foreign policy threat. The 90-day extension given now to HUAWEI will end on November 19th, 2019 and as it has got an extension, it can continue to provide software updates and support to all its users in the US. Redmi 8 Pro with quad rear cameras gets certified by the FCC

After the Redmi 8 with the model number M1908C3IC got certified by TENAA last week, a new Redmi smartphone with the model numbers M1908C3JH and M1908C3JG has passed through the FCC revealing some specifications of the phone. This could be the Redmi 8 Pro, an improved version of the Redmi 8. The image shows quad rear cameras arranged vertically with a camera ring around the top camera, similar to the Redmi K20 series, rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, gradient design, and a Redmi branding on the bottom part of the back. It shows a Dot Notch display with Redmi branding below the screen. The sides show shiny finish. FCC also reveals 158.29 x 75.3mm dimensions, and 155mm for the display, which is about 6.1-inches, dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2 LE support, 3GB RAM with 32GB storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB storage, as well as USB Type-C cable support, so it comes with a USB Type-C port. Apple Watch Series 5 said to come in Ceramic and Titanium variants

Apple launched the Watch Series 4 with an edge-to-edge curved display, fall detection and more last year. There has been leaks and rumours on the upcoming Apple Watch Series 5 and a new report suggests that Apple Watch Series 5 could come in Ceramic and Titanium variants alongside the regular variant. Apple watchOS 6 beta assets suggest that Apple plans to launch Ceramic and Titanium variants of Watch Series 5. It reveals Apple Watch initial setup process and says "44MM TITANIUM CASE DESIGNED BY APPLE IN CALIFORNIA" and "44MM CERAMIC CASE DESIGNED BY APPLE IN CALIFORNIA". This suggests that Apple might indeed launch new variants as the company hadn't launched a Ceramic variant of Apple Watch earlier. It is still not clear if the titanium/ceramic casing will replace the stainless steel or will be launched as an additional option. Apple is expected to launch Watch Series 5 alongside new iPhone models next month, and we should know more information in the coming days. Xiaomi Mi A3 listed on Amazon India with price ahead of launch on August 21

Xiaomi announced the Mi A3 Android One smartphone last month and the company is launching the smartphone this week in India. Xiaomi has also been teasing the smartphone on Amazon.in where it will be sold and the company might sell it on other platforms too. Today, ahead of its official launch, Amazon India has accidentally listed Mi A3 revealing the possible price too. Amazon.in lists both the variants of the Mi A3 smartphone i.e., 4GB RAM with 64GB model and 6GB RAM with 128GB model in Kind of Grey, Not just Blue and More than White colours. The listing also reveals that price of Mi A3 smartphone and according to the listing on Amazon.in, Mi A3 4GB RAM with 64GB storage is said to be priced at Rs. 14,998 and 6GB RAM with 128GB storage is said to be priced at Rs. 17,498. But, this might not be the final price, and we can expect Xiaomi to price it lower in India.
