Lenovo, Intel partner to accelerate high-performance computing and AI
Intel and Lenovo have today announced a multiyear collaboration to extend high-performance computing (HPC) and artificial intelligence (AI) to help accelerate solutions for the world’s most challenging problems. The collaboration is said to create solutions for organizations of all sizes and will speed the convergence of HPC and AI. With this collaboration, Lenovo will be optimizing Intel’s full portfolio of HPC and AI hardware and software solutions and aim to accelerate the convergence of HPC and AI. The collaboration plans to focus on areas like Systems and solutions, Software optimization for HPC and AI convergence and Ecosystem enablement. Lenovo plans to combine the 2nd Gen Intel Xeon Scalable platform and Lenovo Neptune liquid cooling technology as they have produced great results from joint engineering and utilizing a unique combination of HPC IP from the two companies. Today, 173 of the world’s top 500 fastest supercomputers, spanning 19 markets run on Lenovo servers. Additionally, 17 of the world’s top 25 research universities rely on Lenovo infrastructure. Samsung to launch Exynos SoCs with AMD Radeon graphics in 2021
Recently, AMD and Samsung Electronics announced a multi-year strategic partnership which stated that Samsung will license AMD graphics IP to use it in its future SoCs. In similar lines, now Samsung has confirmed that it plans to launch SoCs with AMD Radeon graphics as early as 2021. During Samsung's 2019 quarterly earnings call, the company confirmed that it plans to launch AMD Radeon graphics tech beyond mobile SoCs and also expects their first chips to feature AMD graphics tech will launch in two years. With the inclusion of AMD Radeon graphics in its SoCs, Samsung hopes that the "GPU competitiveness" of AMD will help increase the performance of its mobile SoCs. Samsung will be paying licensing fees and royalties to AMD and this will help AMD to improve their technology further. It will take 2 years of time for Samsung to integrate this, and we can expect Samsung smartphones launching in 2021 to be equipped with AMD Radeon graphics. Apple iPhone with Face ID and in-screen Touch ID said to launch in 2021
Apple removed Touch ID fingerprint authentication in favor of Face ID 3D facial recognition technology on iPhone X back in 2017, and it didn't make a come back in last year's iPhone XS series. Now, according to a new note from Apple analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple will introduce an iPhone equipped with both Face ID and in-screen fingerprint sensor in 2021. It is said to use Qualcomm's ultrasonic fingerprint scanner with large fingerprint sensing area that is being used in most smartphones. He added that technical issues of in-display fingerprint sensors will improve in 12 to 18 months, including module thickness, sensing area, power consumption, and lamination yield rate. Recently rumors revealed that Apple will bring 5G support to all the iPhone models next year, and two of those iPhones are expected to feature time-of-flight sensors. Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple analyst said: In terms of technology, we predict that four critical technical issues of FOD will significantly improve in 12–18 months, including module thickness, sensing area, power consumption, and lamination yield rate. Purported OnePlus 7T Pro live image surfaces

Samsung Galaxy Book S sleek notebook press renders surface
South Korean giant Samsung is reportedly working on a new Windows-powered laptop purportedly called as Galaxy Book S. Recently, it was certified by Bluetooth SIG and spotted on Geekbench as well. Now the renders of the Galaxy Book S have surfaced on the net thanks to @evleaks. As per the renders, the ultrabook looks quite thin with USB Type-C port, and power input on the left side. Furthermore, the power button is housed on the upper right corner of the keyboard. It is expected to come integrated with a fingerprint scanner that should work with Windows Hello. While there is no information about the internals, the Geekbench listing revealed that the so-called Galaxy Book S would be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 855 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM.
