Qualcomm partners with Tencent Games to deliver premium gaming content and experiences

Qualcomm Wireless Communications Technologies (China) Limited which is a subsidiary of Qualcomm Incorporated has announced a strategic cooperation with Tencent Games. The cooperation aims to deliver premium gaming content and experiences to players and game developers. Qualcomm and Tencent Games have signed a nonbinding memorandum of understanding (MoU) for strategic cooperation. Both companies aim to develop popular, high-quality games that can be experienced by consumers across a variety of Snapdragon platforms and devices through strategic cooperation. The strategic cooperation includes optimizing future projects including Qualcomm Snapdragon-based mobile gaming devices, game content and performance optimizations. It also includes Snapdragon Elite Gaming enhancements, cloud gaming, AR/VR, 5G gaming use case developments. Toreto BOOM portable speaker launched for Rs. 1799

Toreto, the company known for its wide range of accessories like power banks, headphones, earphones, Bluetooth speakers, etc has today launched its new BOOM portable speaker in India. It allows connecting two speakers together, is shock-resistant, water-resistant and more. Toreto BOOM is compact in size, comes with an output of 10W and features "heavy bass", according to the company. Sony MASTER Series A9G 55-inch and 65-inch 4K OLED Android TVs launched in India

Sony launched BRAVIA A9F 4K HDR OLED TV series in 55-inch and 65-inch models in India last year. Expanding the lineup, Sony has today launched its MASTER Series A9G 4K televisions in India and it is the successor to the A9F series. Sony MASTER Series A9G comprises of 55-inch and 65-inch 4K models. It sports a 4K OLED display with a resolution of 3840 x2160 pixels and is HDR10 capable. The TV is powered by Sony's Picture Processor X1 Ultimate, supports Dolby Vision for high dynamic range content and also comes with Sony's Pixel Contrast Booster for enhanced color contrast in high luminance. LG Q2 2019 profits down 67.5% YoY, mobile sales down 21.3% YoY

LG Electronics has reported revenues of 15.63 trillion won (US$ 13.40 billion) for the second quarter that ended June 30, 2019, which is down 15.4% compared to the same quarter last year. It posted profits of 652.3 billion won (US$ 559.4 million), down 15.4% YoY, while net profit was down 67.5% YoY to 106 billion won. Decrease in profits is primarily due to losses from vehicle components and mobile communications and smaller operating income from home entertainment products, even though it posted record home appliance profits of 6.10 trillion won (US$ 5.23 billion). Mobile Communications sector reported a quarterly revenue of 1.61 trillion won (US$ 1.38 billion), up 7% QoQ and 21.3% YoY due to stagnant demand in the smartphone market and continued aggressive pricing by Chinese brands. The Mobile sector posted an operating loss of 313 billion won (US$ 268.4 million), compared to loss of 183.7 billion won a year ago and 203.5 billion won loss it posted in Q1 2019 due to higher marketing investment to support the launch of new models and additional costs related to relocating smartphone production to Vietnam. MediaTek just announced Helio G90 and G90T SoCs in the 'G series' in India. Redmi K20 Pro gets a new ‘Honey White’ color variant

Xiaomi's Redmi brand introduced the Redmi K20 Pro smartphone in Flame Red, Glacier Blue and Carbon Fiber Black colors back in China in May, which was later launched in India. Today it has introduced the phone in new white color which it calls 'Summer Honey White'. This has a gradient finish on the back and golden finish on the sides and around the pop-up camera. Google Pixel 4 will feature Soli-powered Face Unlock, ‘Motion Sense’ gestures
