Qualcomm today introduced 215 Mobile Platform,the company's latest quad-core 64-bit Mobile Platform for entry-level smartphones. This is the successor of Snapdragon 212 that was introduced back in 2015, so it has huge upgrade that includes ARM Cortex-A53 cores, for 50% improved CPU performance compared to A7, 64-bit architecture, Qualcomm Hexagon DSP, Qualcomm Adreno 308 GPU for up to 28% increased gaming performance, Qualcomm Quick Charge technology, dual ISPs with support for dual cameras and HD+ resolution screen. It supports Qualcomm Snapdragon X5 modem with LTE Cat 4 with Carrier Aggregation for up to 150Mbps speeds, support for EVS Voice calls (“Ultra HD Voice Calls”) and Dual Sim with Dual Voice-over-LTE (VoLTE). AKG N400 truly wireless earbuds, AKG Y400 and AKG Y600 headphones surface through Samsung SmartThings app

Samsung partners with AKG audio studio for tuning of audio devices and also bundles AKG branded earphones with its smartphones. Earlier, we saw Samsung adding assets of unreleased products or features before the launch of the Galaxy S9 and similarly today, Samsung has added assets of unreleased AKG wireless earbuds and AKG headphones in one of its application-SmartThings. Samsung SmartThings app with version 1.7.33 listed three new audio products-AKG N400, AKG Y400, and AKG Y600. AKG N400 is a truly wireless earbuds without a connecting neckband and unlike the Galaxy Buds which are made by Samsung and marketed with “Sound by AKG.” branding, the AKG N400 will be made and tuned by AKG itself. Apple refreshes MacBook Air and entry-level MacBook Pro with True Tone display, price starts at Rs. 99000

Apple has today updated its MacBook Air and MacBook Pro laptops for back-to-school season and has introduced a special price on the MacBook Air and 13-inch MacBook Pro for college students. Apple has made changes to the Retina display of the MacBook Air and has updated the MacBook Pro with 8th-generation quad-core processors, Touch Bar and more. Official YouTube App back on Fire TV, Prime Video App for Chromecast and Android TV now available

Update: July 9,2019 - After announcement earlier this year, the official YouTube app for Amazon Fire TV Stick and Fire TV Stick 4K are back, both of which include the Alexa Voice Remote. The Prime Video app is now available for streaming to Chromecast, Chromecast built-in devices, and Android TV devices. You can find the new YouTube app tile in the ‘Your Apps and Channels’ row automatically. You can download the latest Prime Video version for Android TV from the Google Play Store. Earlier: Google stopped support for official YouTube app on Amazon Fire TV devices in December 2017 and the services were blocked before the promised date. Nokia has announced its new Nokia Wi-Fi Beacon 1 whole-home mesh Wi-FI system along with other new features to its whole-home Wi-Fi portfolio. The Beacon 1 joins the Nokia Beacon 3 premium mesh Wi-Fi solution along with a range of new features. Nokia Wi-Fi Beacon 1 whole-home mesh Wi-Fi system is an entry-level product and is an AC1200 system which covers approximately 1500 square feet (140 sq. m) per Beacon. The Beacon 1 comes with a range of new features which includes pre-pairing, intelligent channel selection, bride mode function, the company's mesh Wi-Fi technology and more. The pre-pairing is a software enhancement from Nokia that eliminates the need to install each beacon individually by pre-configuring beacons sold in 2-pack and 3-pack configurations. Upon installing the first Nokia beacon, the other beacons automatically recognize each other and self-install. Xiaomi Mi TV 4A 32-inch and 43-inch (2018) Android 9.0 (Pie) early access program registrations open

Xiaomi launched Mi TV 4A 32-inch HD ready and 43-inch Full HD models last year running Patchwall based on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). These TVs didn't get any updates, even months after the company released new Android TV models running Android Oreo-based Patchwall. Today the company has started early access program to offer Android 9.0 (Pie) Android TV update directly to these users, skipping Android Oreo. Xiaomi also adds that it is the first TV brand in the country to roll out Android 9 update for its Mi TVs. The company said that it took time since it was working on new products and continue R&D efforts. This also involves risk of bricking when updating ROM based on Android 6.0 to the latest one, if electricity goes off during update process. Also the company added that Amlogic chip needed extended engineering work to support new Android TV images which are 7 or above.
