10.or(pronounced Tenor), the brand that sells its product exclusive on Amazon.in has announced its new smartphone 10.or G2 today. This is the successor to the popular 10.or G smartphone that was launched back in 2017. 10.or G2 sports a notch display, up to 6GB RAM, fast charging and more. It has been announced for Amazon Prime Day 2019 that is starting on 15th July. 10.or G2 flaunts a 6.18-inch FHD+ 19:9 2.5D display with a resolution of 2246x1080 pixels and the display is protected by Gorilla Glass, but there is no mention on the version. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 Octa-core processor and comes in 4GB/ 6GB RAM with 64GB internal storage which can also be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD card. There is also a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. Regarding the optics, the 10.or G2 sports a 16+5 MP dual rear camera with a Colour Correlated Temperature (CCT) dual LED flash, allowing for usage under both bright light and low light conditions. Xiaomi confirms Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A Android Pie update plans

Update 4: June 28, 2019 —  Looks like Xiaomi has changed its mind. After saying that it doesn't have plans to provide Android Pie update plans few months back, Xiaomi now says that it is looking for testers for global stable ROM for Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A smartphones, since it will end beta updates for all phones from July. However, it is yet to roll out pie update for the Redmi S2/Y2 as it had promised to roll out the update around June. Airtel strengthen 4G network with LTE 900 technology as 3G network shuts down in Kolkata

Airtel today announced that it has shutdown its 3G network in Kolkata, and only 4G network will be available in the city. It has refarmed the 900 MHz band spectrum being used for 3G to further strengthen its 4G network, which will be rolled out across the country in phased manner. It has deployed state-of-the-art L900 technology in the 900 MHz band to complement its 4G services in the 2300 Mhz and 1800 Mhz bands. In addition to high speed data capacity and wider availability, 900 Mhz spectrum will offer improved 4G availability inside buildings – homes, offices and malls. LTE 900 is available in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Punjab, Mumbai, Karnataka and Delhi NCR. The company said that it will continue to provide 2G services in Kolkata to serve the connectivity needs of customers on feature phones. Jony Ive is leaving Apple after more than two decades to form a design company

Apple has announced that its chief design officer Jonathan Ive will be leaving the company later this year, after 27 years, to form an independent design company LoveFrom launching fully in 2020, with Apple as its first client. "While he pursues personal projects, Ive in his new company will continue to work closely and on a range of projects with Apple," said the company. He started working at Apple in the early 1990s, and has led Apple’s design team since 1996 designing the iPod, iPhone, iPad, MacBook, and parts of Apple's user interface including the revamped iOS 7 in 2013. Jony Ive was named as the Apple’s chief design officer in 2015, later in 2017 he regained back his position of direct management of product design teams two years after he was handed off some day-to-day responsibilities while Apple was building its new Apple Park headquarters in Cupertino, California.
