Lenovo Z6 with Snapdragon 730, triple rear cameras, 4000mAh battery to be announced in July

After the Z6 Pro in April and the Z6 Lite/Youth Edition in May, Lenovo is gearing up to introduce the Z6 smartphone in China next month. Lenovo's VP Chang Cheng confirmed the name of the smartphone last week, and has been confirming specifications of the smartphone since then. The smartphone will be powered by Snapdragon 730, compared to the 855 on the Z6 Pro and 710 on the Lite. Geekbench listing already confirmed 8GB of RAM. It has triple rear cameras that includes a 24-megapixel primary camera with Sony IMX576 sensor and f/1.8 aperture, effective 1.8um pixel through four-in-one pixel binning, 8MP telephoto lens for 2x loss-less zoom and up to 8x hybrid zoom, and a 5-megapixel depth sensing lens for portrait shots. There is also a 16-megapixel front camera AI beauty features. The phone packs a 4000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging with 15w charger in the box. It weighs 159 grams and is 8mm thick, even with a huge battery. Nubia X 5G dual-screen phone with Snapdragon 855, X50 5G modem announced

Nubia which is ZTE's sub-brand introduced the Nubia X smartphone with a secondary AMOLED screen last year. Almost after 8 months, today, the company announced the 5G variant of the Nubia X called Nubia X 5G with Qualcomm's X50 modem. Nubia X 5G was unveiled at the 5G+ mobile conference hosted by China Mobile today. The Nubia X 5G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC and features Qualcomm's X50 modem for 5G connectivity. The 5G logo is present next to the rear dual LED flash indicating that this smartphone is 5G capable. There is no change in the design and is similar to last year's Nubix X smartphone. The company hasn't revealed detailed specifications of the Nubia X 5G, but it is expected to be similar to the Nubia X 4G variant. Also, there is no information yet on when it will be launched, but we do know that it will first premiere in China and might come to other 5G markets too. Indian Government said to be planning on WhatsApp-like official communication app

Amidst the tension between Huawei and the U.S government, India is planning to develop its chat application similar to WhatsApp for government agencies to protect from any sort of vulnerabilities from geopolitical developments, according to a report from ET. “There are strong discussions that for strategic and security reasons, over a period of time, we should have email, messaging…all sorts of systems, at least for government communication, which doesn’t depend on outside players,” said an official, according to the report. “We need to make our communication insular.” According to the officials, any sort of formal communications and data transmission must take over secure network and has to be stored in India. Notably, the Indian government is under pressure to ban Huawei's 5G as well. “Look what happened to Huawei, their Honor (branded) phones,” the official said. “It was unthinkable, but now it has definitely rung alarm bells with us. Tomorrow, if the US finds us unreliable for some reason, all they need to do is ask their companies to slow down networks in India and everything here will come to a standstill. Fitbit wearables now work with Cardiogram app bringing heart health screening

Cardiogram and Fitbit have partnered to bring Cardiogram’s suite of health monitoring features to Fitbit wearables. The Cardiogram app uses heart rate and sleep data from wearable devices and displays it on a user’s phone with insights and tracking. Amazon launched its new Kindle (10th Generation) with a built-in light earlier this year, which is the most affordable Kindle with a front light. This has a same design and screen resolution as the entry-level Kindle, but the built-in light at this price is impressive. Is this worth the price? Let us find out in the review.
