Mi AirDots Unboxing and First Impressions

Xiaomi introduced Mi AirDots Youth Edition Bluetooth wireless headsets with Bluetooth 5.0 in China last year. The Mi Airdots are really affordable as compared to other true wireless earbuds and pack a 7.2mm driver unit to produce deep bass and high-quality stereo audio, we recently bought a unit, and here is the unboxing and first impressions of Mi AirDots. Mi AirDots (and the case) are available only in white color, and hence these get dirty easily. Xiaomi Mi CC9e with 6.39-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, triple rear cameras, in-display fingerprint sensor gets certified

A new Xiaomi smartphone with the model number M1904F3BC has been certified by TENAA in China. This is said to be released as Mi CC9e, and is expected to be launched in collaboration with Meitu that it acquired last year. Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun today confirmed that they are working on a smartphone with Meitu team codenamed 'Little Fairy', so this could the phone. We have some specifications of the smartphone that includes a 6.39-inch AMOLED screen, which should come with FHD+ resolution, and the image shows a DotNotch. It also confirms 156.8×74.5×8.67mm dimensions and a 4000mAh (typical) / 3900mAh (minimum) battery. 3C certification confirmed 18W fast charging support for the phone. It is said to pack a 32-megapixel front camera with 4-in-1 pixel binning technology that combines the information from four pixels to create one large pixel. The image shows a 48MP AI camera, along with an ultra-wide sensor and probably a telephoto lens. Since there is no fingerprint sensor on the back, it will likely feature an in-display fingerprint scanner. It could be powered by Snapdragon 710 or 712 SoC, and is said to be cheaper than the Redmi K20 and the Mi 9SE. We should get to know more specifications from TENAA soon. Source 1, 2, 3

MIUI launcher is finally getting an app drawer and app shortcuts

Xiaomi’s sub-brand POCO launched its own POCO Launcher last year with support for app drawer, now the company has started testing alpha version of its own MIUI launcher for its Mi and Redmi smartphones in China that will bring the app drawer. This will also finally bring app shortcuts allow users to launch any specific part of the app to perform certain key tasks, directly from home screen. This was originally introduced in Android Nougat. You can enable or disable the app drawer from the launcher Settings after long press, you will get two options as seen in the image above. Swipe down to close the app tray doesn't work currently, so you need to click on the down arrow at top, but you can use the back button. Also, there is no option to hide recent apps. These might be changed in the final version, since it is still in Alpha stage of testing. You can test the launcher by installing the APK from here. This works only on devices running MIUI, unlike the POCO Launcher that works on all Android phones. We will let you know once these features arrive in MIUI Global ROM. Via

OPPO A5s 4GB RAM variant goes on sale in India for Rs. 12990

OPPO launched A5s smartphone in the ‘A Series’ in India recently. It was launched in 2GB RAM with 32GB storage at Rs. 9990 and the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage version was slated to launch later. Now, the company has made the 4GB RAM variant official and it is now available starting today. Microsoft To-Do app now available for Mac

Microsoft launched To-Do app as a preview with basic features in April 2017 and later launched it with additional features in June 2018. It was available only on Windows, iOS, Android and the web and not on Mac. Today, the company has officially announced that its To-Do app will be finally available on the Mac App Store and it has been built using 100% AppKit. The Mac App of To-Do looks similar to Android, iOS, Windows or web and has almost similar features too. Users can work offline, add tasks to My Day, see their flagged email in their Flagged email list, share lists with their colleagues or friends and family and more. Microsoft will support integration with the 'Planner' soon and is also working on bringing the 'Assigned to Me' list to users. The Mac version gets new keyboard shortcuts like upon pressing ⌘2, To-Do will move into the minimized view and display only list view and pressing ⌘1 returns to view all your lists. Saregama Carvaan 2.0 with WiFi, 5000 pre-loaded songs launched for Rs. 7990

Saregama Carvaan audio player is a success in the Indian market and is used by many people for its wide range of pre-loaded songs, customizations and more. Revolt RV 400 India’s first fully electric AI-enabled bike announced

Revolt Motors today announced RV 400, which is India's first fully electric  AI-enabled motorcycle. Former Micromax CEO Rahul Sharma is the Founder and Chief Revolutionary Officer of the company. Facebook to launch Libra cryptocurrency in 2020

Facebook just announced its plans to launch Libra, a new global currency powered by blockchain technology in 2020. It will be available as a standalone app and also support payments in Messenger and WhatsApp. Facebook subsidiary Calibra digital wallet will let you send Libra to others using an app instantly. It will eventually introduce several services such as paying bills instantly, scan a code to buy things and use it to pay for local public transit. Calibra will have strong protections in place to keep your money and information safe, says the company. In addition to verification and anti-fraud processes that banks and credit cards use, it will also have automated systems that will proactively monitor activity to detect and prevent fraudulent behavior. It also promises dedicated live support to help if you lose your phone or your password. OnePlus launched its 7th-gen smartphone — OnePlus 7 along with its Pro version a few weeks back. In an attempt to retain the mid-range flagship position, the company launched it at a price of Rs. 32,999. Bridging the gap between OnePlus 6T and OnePlus 7 Pro, the device offers the best of both worlds, leaving out few. We got hold of the OnePlus 7 for few weeks and this is what we think about it. Perfect display OnePlus 7 sports a 6.41-inch FHD+ Optic AMOLED 19.5:9 aspect ratio display with a resolution of 2340 × 1080 pixels translating to a pixel density of about 402 PPI and with a water-drop notch. It has rounded corners with bare minimum bezels just to make more space for the display. It has about 85% screen-to-body ratio.
