Apple launches new MacBook Pro models with Octa-Core processor, redesigned keyboard in India starting at Rs. 1,59,900

Apple launched the 2018 MacBook Pros with 8th- gen Intel Core processors, up to 32GB RAM, True Tone display and more in India last year. It is almost close to a year since the launch of 2018 MacBook Pro and now, Apple has launched the 2019 MacBook Pro with faster 8th, 9th generation Intel Core processors, bringing eight cores to MacBook Pro for the first time. The new MacBook Pro comes with a faster 8th, 9th generation Intel Core processors and also for the first time, Apple is bringing eight cores to MacBook Pro. Apple claims that MacBook Pro now delivers two times faster performance than a quad-core MacBook Pro and 40 percent more performance than a 6-core MacBook Pro. Vivo Z5x with punch-hole display, up to 8GB RAM, triple rear cameras to be announced on May 24

Vivo has announced that it will introduce Z5x, a new smartphone in the Z series in China on May 24th. The company has also shared an image of the phone that shows a punch-hole display, which will likely be LCD since this has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. The phone features triple rear cameras that should include an ultra-wide lens. The Vivo Z5x will come in Phantom Black and Midnight Black color variants  and a lot of options that includes 4GB + 64GB, 6GB + 64GB, 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB versions. Vivo has also confirmed Snapdragon SoC, which is expected to be Snapdragon 710 and support for dual-engine fast charging. It is said to pack a huge 5000mAh battery. Redmi K20 will feature AMOLED screen, optical in-display fingerprint scanner and 4000mAh battery

After confirming the launch date earlier this week, Xiaomi's Redmi brand has confirmed that the Redmi K20 will have an AMOLED screen and seventh-generation optical in-display fingerprint sensor with 3P lens that is equivalent to a 7.2μm macro camera, which is 100% higher than the previous generation's photosensitive area, and the finger area is also increased by 15%, which can capture the fingerprint optical signal better. Upgraded hardware, combined with the software DSP algorithm, will increase the unlock speed of the Redmi K20 by 10%, and the success rate is increased by 30% under low temperature, dry fingers, bright light and more. Redmi President Lu Weibing said that the in-screen fingerprint scanner is now a standard, and the overall performance is now improved, and the front fingerprint sensor is convenient to operate and offers better experience. Xiaomi posts 27.2% YoY increase in revenue in Q1 2019, smartphone revenue up 16.2% YoY

Xiaomi has reported its earning for the first quarter (Q1 2019) that ended March 31, 2019. It has reported revenue of 43.8 billion yuan (US$ 6.33 billion) for Q1 2019, an increase of 27.2% YoY, among which international revenue grew 34.7% year-on-year to 16.8 billion yuan. Net profit for the quarter was approximately 3.2 billion yuan. Adjusted net profit (Non-IFRS Measure) was 2.1 billion yuan, up 22.4% YoY and 12.3% QoQ. Smartphones segment posted 27 billion yuan, up 16.2% year over year. Smartphone shipments reached 27.9 million units, almost same as previous year.  Redmi Note 7 series shipments exceeded 4 million units and the Mi 9 series smartphones surpassed 1.5 million unit shipments. Xiaomi’s revenue from international markets grew 34.7% year-on-year to RMB16.8 billion. Revenue from IoT and lifestyle products segment rose by 56.5% to RMB12.0 billion Global shipments of the smart TVs reached 2.6 million units, representing a year-on-year growth of 99.8%. HUAWEI's HONOR brand just announced the HONOR 20 series - HONOR 20 and HONOR 20 Pro at an event in London, as it had promised. Both the phones feature a 6.26-inch Full HD+ All-View display with 91.7% screen-to-body-ratio, powered by Kirin 980 with Dual NPU and GPU Turbo 3.0. The HONOR 20 Pro also has a Graphene Cooling Sheet technology for 27% better heat dissipation. These feature Side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a 32-megapixel in-screen front camera. These feature 48-megapixel rear camera with 1/2" Sony IMX586 sensor and 4-in-1 Light Fusion (effective 1.6μm pixels), but the HONOR 20 Pro features f/1.4 aperture lens for the first time in the world that takes 50% more light compared to f/1.8 aperture lens and offers up to 204800 ISO. The HONOR 20 Pro also has 4-axis OIS, in addition to EIS, PDAF, Laser auto focus, 16-megapixel 117-degree Ultra Wide Angle lens, 8-megapixel telephoto camera with  4-axis OIS that offers 3x loss-less zoom, 5x hybrid zoom and there is also 2-megapixel camera for 4cm macro. Samsung Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+ Cardinal Red colour variant surfaces in press images

Samsung launched its flagship smartphones Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10 Plus, and Galaxy S10e earlier this year in India. At the launch, the S10, and S10 Plus were available in Prism White, Black, Green and in Ceramic Black, White colors. Now, fresh reports suggest that Samsung is expected to launch a new Cardinal Red color variant of S10 and S10+ soon. This red color is not similar to the Burgundy Red color that was seen on the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus smartphones. The Burgundy Red had a deeper shade and the new Cardinal Red looks striking and has a slight resemblance to the red colored iPhone XR. There is no information on whether the new color variant will be available for the S10e and also there is no mention on the countries this Cardinal Red color variant of the S10 and S10 Plus will be available. Xiaomi to replace Redmi Note 7 with Redmi Note 7S in India

Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 7S smartphone with 48MP rear camera yesterday in India as the company's latest addition in the popular Note series lineup. Redmi Note 7S is a rebranded version of Chinese Redmi Note 7 model. Now the company has confirmed that the Note 7S will be replacing Redmi Note 7 in India. Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7S have almost identical design and specifications excluding the rear camera setup. Redmi Note 7S packs a 48-megapixel rear camera with 1/2″ Samsung ISOCELL Bright GM1 sensor with f/1.8 aperture along with a 5-megapixel secondary camera. Samsung introduced its new One UI for Galaxy smartphones last year as part of Samsung firmware updates to Android 9 Pie. It was included in the Galaxy smartphones launched in 2019 i.e., Galaxy S10 series and Galaxy A(2019)series.
