LG V50 ThinQ 5G will finally roll out starting from May 10
Update : May 8, 2019 — After a delay, LG has confirmed that it will roll out the LG V50 ThinQ 5G smartphone from May 10th in Korea. Pricing remains the same — 1,199,000 won (US$ 1,016 / Rs. 71,019 approx.) for the phone and the Dual-Screen accessory costs 2,19,000 won (US$ 185 / Rs. 12,970 approx.), which is free those who buys the phone till June-end. WhatsApp will end support for Windows Phone at the end of 2019, new UWP app expected
WhatsApp stopped support for Blackberry OS in 2017 and the company already stopped support for Android versions older than 2.3.3 and Windows Phone 7 back in 2016. Similarly, WhatsApp on Tuesday announced that it will stop supporting Windows Phone platform on December 31, 2019. WhatsApp will stop working on Windows 10 platform on December 31st which means that the app will stop getting future updates. Back in 2017, the company announced that it will stop supporting Windows Phone 8.0 platform and now, the company has updated the blog post with a list of platforms that it will stop supporting which includes all versions of the Windows Phone platform. While WhatsApp is ending support for the Windows Phone platform, new reports have emerged suggesting that the company is working on a Universal Windows Platform (UWP) app. The UWP app will reportedly run on the recent version of Windows Phone and Windows Desktop platforms. Airtel revised the price of its 4G hotspot device in December 2017 from its launch price in a bid to compete with incumbent operators. Today, Airtel 4G hotspot has received another price cut and now it is available at Rs.399 per month along with monthly data. Airtel is now allowing users to rent the 4G Hotspot for Rs.399 per month and the plan will come bundled with 50GB monthly data. Users can enjoy 4G speeds until 50GB and post that can use unlimited data at throttled speeds of 80kbps. Google releases latest Android Distribution data: Android Pie now on 10.4% devices, Oreo adoption climbs to 28.3%
Google is out with the latest Android distribution numbers for the month of May 2019. The company is posting this data after six months when Android Pie was not in the list since it was below 1%. Now, after nine months after Android Pie stable update started rolling out, it is running in just 10.4% devices. From 21.5% back in October last year, Android Oreo (8.1 and 8.0) is now on 28.3%. Nougat adoption is 19.2%, down from 28.2%, Android 6.0 Marshmallow is now at 16.9%, down from 21.3%. Android Lollipop operating system adoption now stands at 14.5%, down from 17.9%. KitKat OS now on 6.9% devices, a slight decline from 7.6%. The data was collected before 7-days ending on May 7, 2019, said Google. With the company slowly ending support for older OS, we should see a slight growth in Android Pie. Android 10.0 Q will release in Q3 2019, but it might not be seen in the distribution charts before later this year or early next year. Source
