MIUI 10 Global Beta ROM brings Dark Mode [Update: Rolling out now]

Update 3 - April 18, 2019: Xiaomi has confirmed that Dark mode is currently available only for the Android 9 Pie based MIUI 10 Beta ROM for supported devices, and will soon come to other supported versions after thorough testing. Dark Mode is not available for POCO yet. Update 2 – March 26, 2019: Dark Mode is now available for Redmi Note 5 Pro with the latest MIUI 9.3.25 update. There is an option in the Display settings to enable Dark mode. Update: We found that the dark mode is triggered when dark mode is enabled on Google Messages app. If you are on latest MIUI nightly or beta build, you can try this. OnePlus 3 and 3T Android Pie beta update released

After a leak, OnePlus has officially released the first Android Pie Community update for the OnePlus 3 and 3T smartphones, as it had promised last year. OnePlus 3 and 3T were launched back in 2016 running Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow). This is the third major Android update for the phones after Android Nougat in 2017 and Android Oreo update last year. The company has already guaranteed Android security updates for the phones till November 2019. Since this is the first beta update, you need to install the Community Beta build manually by downloading the OTA ROM for the OnePlus 3 or the ROM for the OnePlus 3T, place it in the internal storage root folder Open Settings -> System update -> Click top right setting icon and Choose Local update to update. The company said that Boot Loader should be locked before installing the ROM. It added that those who download the Community Beta build will get OTA update when the stable build is released. Those who are on the Open Beta will have to update the phone using from the recovery  which will wipe the the data. Honeywell, the company known for its connected building technology, today announced its entry into the professional audio industry with a range of speakers in the Honeywell ProSound category. Honeywell has launched three speakers in the ProSound range namely ProZeta, ProAlpha, and ProZoe. The Alpha series offers high definition sound for touring and comes with a built-in DSP for High Definition sound. It also has support for multiple presets for different applications. Samsung Galaxy Fold expected to launch in India on May 7th

Samsung announced its foldable smartphone Galaxy Fold in February this year and the company started the pre-orders of the smartphone in the US on April 15th. Apple said to launch new 4.7-inch iPhone 8 with A13 processor in 2020

Apple launched the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus in September 2017. OnePlus 6T, 6, 5T and 5 OxygenOS beta update brings Parking location feature, April security patch and more

OnePlus has released new OxygenOS open beta updates for the OnePlus 6 (beta 16), 6T (beta 16), 5 (beta 30) and 5T (beta 28) that brings several improvements, including improved network speed display, support for quick reply in the notification bar in landscape mode, tutorial in shelf and more. It also adds new Parking location feature in the launcher. Parking location service lets you location your vehicle which has been parked. This lets you mark the location using GPS. It doesn't support indoor car parking, but you can keep the parking info by taking a photo, says the company. The latest OxygenOS beta updates for the phone are about 160MB in size and also includes Android security patch for April 2019. MIUI Global Beta update brings Digital Wellbeing-like Screen Time Feature

Google announced Digital Wellbeing feature with Android Pie aimed at being responsible with smartphone usage. Digital Wellbeing helps you understand your phone usage better, app usage timers so that you can limit the usage, visuals detailing how many times you unlock your phone per day and how many notifications you receive. The Wind Down feature limits notifications and also gradually turns the display greyscale, to make it easier on the eyes and to encourage you to unplug. Various OEMs like Samsung and Huawei had introduced their own versions of it called Digital Wellbeing and Digital Balance respectively. Xiaomi's MIUI gets updated biweekly, including closed beta on every Tuesday and public beta on every Friday. This week, Xiaomi has introduced Screen Time their own version of digital wellbeing.
