Apple’s 7th-gen iPad said to retain Touch ID and audio jack
As per the recent development, the yet-to-be-launched seventh-generation iPad which is expected to come along with the updated iPad mini 5 will continue to use the same housing as the sixth-generation iPad, as per the report from Japanese site Mac Otakara. Previous speculations stated that the device will feature a 10.2-inch display, however, the new report stated that it is hearing mixed rumours from suppliers. However, the iPad is expected to come equipped with Touch ID fingerprint sensor rather than Face ID and it will also have headphone jack as well. If the information floating around the Internet turns out to be true, the Cupertino giant will be introducing both the iPads somewhere around spring, right around March 25. According to report, both new iPads will debut at the same time, but the site did not provide any prospective launch timelines beyond mentioning that suppliers are preparing for a launch. Apple said to launch AR glasses that relies on iPhone in 2020
Apple's long-rumoured head-mounted AR device will be ready by the middle of next year, according to the most reliable Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. Ming-Chi Kuo, who has always been accurate with Apple predictions has stated that mass production of AR headset could start as soon as the fourth quarter of 2019 and not beyond the second quarter of 2020. Furthermore, the company is planning to scrape a standalone device plan and expected to rely on the iPhone instead. According to Kuo, the AR glass won't have any graphics processor or CPU but relies on a connected iOS device to drive the AR experience. The company's AR glasses is expected to come equipped with a display, camera sensors, and wireless connectivity electronics, which indeed makes them lighter and power efficient. While the prospect of buying an iPhone to experience AR might prove to be costly, but on the other side, the Cupertino giant is planning to resurrect the iPod Touch with a modern A12 processor. YouTube is rolling out ‘fact checks’ on sensitive topics to combat fake news in India
The term 'Fake news' is seen as the greatest threat and has the ability to fracture our society. The main sources for this unverified news are indeed the social media platform including Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. With mobile data getting cheaper, YouTube consumption is sky-rocketing, which means, there is a significant chance of spreading misinformation/fake news through videos carrying unverified account. In an attempt to curb this, YouTube is reportedly adding a new feature that will help users to verify fake misinformation from authentic content. According to YouTube spokesperson, these panels will show up on pages of search results rather than on individual videos and offers fact checks from verified partners to combat fake news. At present, the feature will be available in India in languages such including Hindi, English. Having said that, the updates will be rolled out to other regions and languages in the future. On the other hand, Facebook is taking various steps in the back-end like reduce the ranking of groups and Pages that spread misinformation about vaccinations, banning ads and content and more. POCO F1 MIUI 10.2.3.0 stable update starts rolling out [Download Link]
Xiaomi’s sub-brand POCO launched POCO F1 running on Android 8.1 (Oreo) with a skin on top, called MIUI For POCO. The smartphone has been in news since the launch for good reasons except for a few issues, but the company has been very responsive towards addressing the issues and kept device updated as well. The device received MIUI 10 Global Stable update back in November which was based on Android Oreo but later in December, Xiaomi rolled out Android Pie based MIUI 10 Stable update for the smartphone. As per users on POCO Forum, the device has started receiving MIUI 10.2.3.0.PEJMIXM update which is 560 MB in size. The update is based on Android Pie and also brings February security patch to the device but doesn't bring Widevine L1 support to the device that was recently enabled in MIUI Global Beta ROM. MIUI 10.2.3.0 update and doesn't either bring 4K 60fps support which was also enabled in a recent MIUI Global Beta ROM.
