MWC 2019 got over a few days, and there were several interesting and innovative products at this year's event. We gave out FoneArena Awards to some of the latest products and innovations. We gave these awards under several categories such as Best Product, Best Smartphone, Best Innovative Product and several Editor’s Picks of MWC 2019. The Samsung Galaxy S10+ won the FoneArena Best Smartphone of MWC 2019 award. Even though the phone was originally introduced at Samsung's own event, and there were several competitors in the smartphone category, the Galaxy S10+ won the award. The S10+ features a new design with in-screen dual cameras, minimal bezels, upgraded internals, triple rear cameras and a bigger battery. The Qualcomm Snapdragon X55 5G Modem won the Best Product of MWC 2019 award. Introduced a week before the MWC 2019, the Qualcomm Snapdragon X55 7nm 5G modem is the successor of the X50 modem powering the 5G devices that were inroduced at the MWC. The 7-nanometer single-chip 5G to 2G multimode modem supports 5G NR mmWave and sub-6GHz spectrum bands with up to 7Gbps download speeds and 3Gbps upload speeds over 5G, and Category 22 LTE with up to 2.5 Gbps LTE download speeds. Corning working on truly foldable Gorilla glass

Foldable phones are slowly making their way, whether you’re ready or not. However, it seems like they're coming whether they're ready or not given how the software remains untested or nonexistent and the prices are on the higher side. But those potential issues can be fixed, but the real thing for which you should hold out for is the glass.   The glass is strong and durable and hard to scratch and easy to see through to the bright and shiny OLED pixels below. Glass can fold, but it can’t flex far enough for smartphones that open up like books. John Bayne, who heads up glass giant Corning’s Gorilla Glass business said: “Glass today, the current choices out there, they’re not optimal for folding smartphones. In a glass solution, you’re really challenging the laws of physics, in that to get a very tight bend radius you want to go thinner and thinner, but you also have to be able to survive a drop event and resist damage.” Instead of using glass, folding phone manufacturers are leaning on plastic polymers. Xiaomi Redmi 7 with 6.26-inch 19:9 display, AI dual rear cameras, Android Pie, 4000mAh battery gets certified

After the Redmi Note 7 launch last month, Xiaomi recently confirmed that it will launch the Redmi Note 7 Pro in China on March 18th. Now the Redmi 7 with the model number M1810F6LE has been certified by TENAA. This reveals a large 6.26-inch HD+ 19:9 aspect ratio screen with waterdrop notch, compared to the 18:9 screen on the Redmi 6. This is powered by an Octa-Core processor clocked at 1.8GHz, which could be Snapdragon 636 or 632. Opera expands its built-in Cryptocurrency Wallet to iOS

Opera, back in July had announced that it has started testing Cryptowallet beta built-in to its Android app and it supports the Ethereum Web3 API. After expanding it to the desktop, and Android, Opera has now mentioned that it is bringing this feature to iOS soon. iOS users around the globe will soon gain access to a full-featured browser with an integrated native Crypto Wallet and Web 3 browsing functionalities. Opera Touch for iOS will combine easy-to-use Crypto Wallet functionality with support for Ethereum decentralized apps, or Dapps. After testing for a while, Opera introduced the Crypto Wallet to the Opera browser for Android in December 2018. Crypto Wallet functionality introduces Web 3 features to the iOS browser. It is integrating an easy-to-use wallet into the iOS browser. Opera Touch features two themes, dark and light. It has also recently introduced private mode to the browser to give you more privacy on the Web, cookie dialog blocker.
