Nokia 210 feature phone with 2.4-inch display announced for $35

HMD Global has kickstarted the MWC 2019 event with the announcement of the Nokia 210 feature phone with a tag "Put the internet in your pocket." It sports a 2.4-inches QVGA display and dual SIM support. However, it doesn't support 4G and is a 2G series 30 feature phone.  The Nokia 210 runs on S30+ operating system and is powered by the MediaTek MT6260A chipset. It comes with Facebook, Snake game and an app store to download apps and games. It packs 16MB Internal memory and a VGA rear camera with LED flash. The phone has support for FM radio, and MP3 player. It packs a removable BL-5C 1020 mAh battery which the company claims that it can offer up to 18 hours talk time and a minimum standby time of up to 20 days. Connectivity features include GSM 900/1800, Dual SIM, and microUSB port for charging. It measures 120.8 x 53.49 x 13.81 mm. The Nokia 210 comes in Charcoal, Red and Grey colors is priced at $35 (Rs.2,480 approx.). It will roll out from early next week.

HMD Global just announced Nokia 9 PureView, the company's latest flagship smartphone at an event in MWC, as expected. The main highlight of the smartphone is its 12MP penta rear camera, two RGB and three monochrome lenses to collect up to 10-times the amount of light than a single colour sensor, with ZEISS Optics. It captures HDR shots using five cameras simultaneously with up to 12.4 stops of dynamic range and a full scene 12MP depth map and fuse it together into one 12MP photo with outstanding dynamic range and depth of field to refocus later. It also features the ability to capture images in uncompressed RAW “DNG” format and edit them directly on the phone with Adobe Lightroom and Native black-and-white photography. It also has a 20-megapixel front camera. "Each 12MP JPG image can benefit from outstanding detail in areas of both bright sunlight and dark shadows at the same time with incredible texture. The depth map allows beautiful bokeh, giving you the possibility to adjust focus in Google Photos after you have taken the shot," said the company. HUAWEI Mate X foldable 5G smartphone announced, features two OLED displays that unfold into a large 8-inch screen

HUAWEI has introduced its first foldable smartphone - Mate X at an event in Barcelona, as it had promised.  It has a 6.6-inch OLED screen on the front and 6.38-inch screen on the back that expands to a 8-inch screen when unfolded. It features a Falcon Wing design with a stretchable hinge for a smooth and flat finish on both sides of the device. The screen doesn't over stretch while folding or bulge in unfolding. It is just 5.4mm at its thinnest point. It is powered by Kirin 980 7nm SoC with Dual NPU and Balong 5000 5G modem, runs Android 9.0 (Pie) with EMUI 9.1.1 on top, has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner embedded into the power button. It is equipped with triple rear Leica Cameras - a 40MP main camera, a 16MP ultra wide-angle camera, and an 8MP telephoto camera. Xiaomi just announced Mi MIX 3 5G, the company's first 5G smartphone, as it had promised at the Mi MIX 3 event back in October. It has the same 6.39-inch Full HD+ AMOLED 93.4% screen-to-body ratio display, but this comes with Snapdragon 855 7nm SoC with Qualcomm X50 5G modem. It has a ceramic back, hybrid cooling, rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and packs a larger 3800mAh battery with support for Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+ fast charging as well as 10W wireless charging. Watch Huawei’s first foldable smartphone launch live stream from Barcelona

Huawei is all set to introduce  its first foldable smartphone - Mate X with 5G support in Barcelona later today at 2PM CET (6:30 PM IST). OPPO unveils its first 5G smartphone powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855

Other than its 10x optical zoom camera tech, OPPO also unveiled its first 5G smartphone at its 'Get Closer' MWC event in Barcelona. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform with Snapdragon X50 5G modem. OPPO did not share the model number of the phone or when it will launch, but the device shown looked similar to the Find X without a notch. The company even unveiled its 5G-ready prototype based on the Find X, a developer version with integrated communication capabilities in December. OPPO has partnered with four carriers - Swisscom, Telstra, Optus and Singtel for 5G commercializtion. OPPO has also initiated 'OPPO 5G Landing Project'. OPPO has also partnered with software developers to explore 5G cloud gaming. It has leveraged high-throughput and low-latency of 5G for triple-A gaming experience to mobile gamers. In the Spring, OPPO will commercially launch its Breeno, AI-powered virtual personal assistant in its new products. OPPO said that this personal assistant, as the hub of the broader IoT ecosystem, will be the central integrator and controller of the expansive platforms of IoT, wearables, V2X and many more in the 5G+ era. OPPO smartphone with 10x Lossless Zoom Camera coming in Q2 2019

OPPO teased the 10x hybrid optical zoom camera technology at an event in China. As promised, the company has revealed more details about the technology. We already know that the 10x lossless zoom camera tech uses three-camera solution that includes a Super Wide Angle, Ultra Clear main sensor and a Telephoto lens. Today the company has confirmed that the main camera uses a 48-megapixel sensor, a 120 degree ultra-wide lens with equivalent focal length of 15.9mm, which provides wide-angle shots and the telephoto camera offers 159mm equivalent focal length. With all 3 lenses, the phone can cover broad focal lengths of 16mm-160mm which make up 10x Lossless Zoom. It uses periscopic module that is structured in a horizontal organization. This reduces the thickness of the lens, resulting in a camera module only 6.76mm thick, almost the same as an OPPO R17. OPPO has used 'D-cut' optical lens. After introducing the RTX 2060, NVIDIA has introduced the GTX 1660 Ti, sucessor of GTX 1060. It comes with 6GB of GDDR6 memory, 1536 CUDA Cores, 192-bit memory interface, is built on Turing architecture as used on GeForce RTX GPUs and promises 3x performance than a GTX 960, 1.5x performance than a GTX 1060, and comparable performance to a GTX 1070.
