LG G8 ThinQ to feature Crystal Sound OLED technology that uses phone’s display as an audio amplifier

Ahead of official announcement next week, LG already confirmed that the G8 ThinQ will feature 3D ToF cameras for face unlock. Today the company has confirmed that it will come with Crystal Sound OLED (CSO) technology that utilizes the phone’s OLED display as an audio amplifier. The Crystal Sound OLED (CSO) technology repurposes the OLED display as a diaphragm, vibrating the entire surface to produce sound to offer  impressive volume with better clarity, making voices easier to discern and subtle musical notes more noticeable. In speakerphone mode, it promises impressive bass through the bottom speaker. It also offers a clean, minimalist look to the phone. MIUI 10 Global Beta ROM brings Dark Mode to some system apps

Colors displayed on the screen affect the power consumption of the display and this is where dark mode helps on AMOLED devices. Xiaomi Mi 9 with triple rear cameras including ultra wide-angle lens teased for MWC 2019

Earlier today Xiaomi confirmed that it will introduce its flagship Mi 9 smartphone at an event in China on February 20th. It also sent out invites for its MWC 2019 event in February 24th in Barcelona on February 24th. It was expected to introduce Mi Mix 3 5G at the event, now the company has posted a new teaser on Twitter hinting at Mi 9 with triple rear cameras at MWC. Xiaomi schedules MWC 2019 event on February 24, Mi MIX 3 5G expected [Update: Invite]

Update - February 13, 2019: Xiaomi has sent out invites for the February 24 event and has also teased it on social channels. The event starts at 10:30 AM CET (3PM IST). LG G8 ThinQ with 3D ToF front camera, dual-rear cameras, 3.5mm headphone jack surfaces in new render

LG will introduce the G8 ThinQ smartphone at the MWC 2019 event which is expected to kick-start in a couple of weeks. So far, we have heard reports and rumors about the flagship, but haven't seen the device in live. To fill that void, the render of the G8 has now surfaced the internet, courtesy of popular leakster Evan Blass. Unlike the trip rear camera setup, as seen on few LG flagships in 2018, the G8 has dual-rear cameras which is surprising considering most flagships including the Galaxy S10 are coming with triple sensors on the back. Beneath the rear camera setup, there is a physical fingerprint sensor and not an in-display sensor like most smartphones coming out these days. What's good is that there is a 3.5mm audio jack at the bottom, and it will likely come with Quad DAC. Sony at the MWC 2019 is expected to introduce quite a number of smartphones with an unusual 21: 9 format display design. One among the smartphone is the Xperia "XA3" whose renders have surfaced the internet. Xiaomi Mi 9 with triple rear cameras to be announced on February 20

Xiaomi has finally announced that the company's flagship Mi 9 smartphone, successor of last year's Mi 8 will be announced on February 20th at an event in China. It also confirmed that is is codenamed "Battle Angel". The phone was spotted in the wild last week, and the official teaser confirms the design with triple rear cameras and a flash arranged vertically.
