LG WK9 XBOOM AI ThinQ Smart Display with 8-inch touch display announced

LG has finally announced that the New Smart Display; LG XBOOM AI ThinQ model WK9 will be available in the United States with key markets in other regions to follow. The company mentioned that product at the IFA 2018 back in August. This smart display combines both Google Assistant and immersive sound quality from Meridian Audio.  The Smart Display was developed in collaboration with Google and comes with a touchscreen display. The WK9 also leverages on LG’s partnership with Meridian Audio to deliver delivering high-fidelity sound, precise vocal definition, and accurate bass, despite its compact size. It comes with a 5MP front-facing camera for video conference and 20W speakers. The WK9 sports an 8-inch touch display and it also features the ability to control other LG ThinQ products. It runs on Android Things, measures 370 x 244 x 145mm and weighs 1.51kg. The company mentioned that pricing and availability will be revealed closer to the launch date. WhatsApp could bring ephemeral messaging to rival Snapchat

WhatsApp Status currently has over 450 million daily active users, while Snapchat has a little 188 million. This is despite the lack of features like AR selfie masks, animated GIFs, or personalized avatars like Bitmoji. Snapchat lost total daily users in Q2 and Q3 2018 and even in Q2. However, Snapchat impressed the teens with disappearing chats where they can be free to be themselves. On the other hand, WhatsApp offers a permanent route where it only lets you send permanent photos, videos, and texts. There is an Unsend option, but it only works for an hour after a message is sent. However, Instagram, let's you send both permanent and temporary photos and videos. Text messages are permanent by default, but you can unsend even old ones. WhatsApp could build such a feature quite easily by adding a simple timer when people send media so photos or videos that can disappear after 10 seconds, a minute, an hour, or a day. However, there's a possibility that WhatsApp might bring such a feature in the near future where it embraces the ephemeral messaging. Noise launched the ColorFit Pro fitness band in the Indian market with a slew of features including a pedometer, Heart Rate, Blood Pressure, SpO2 Level, and Sleep Quality recently. We got hold of this device for more than a week and came with our review. Design Unlike other fitness bands, the Colorfit Pro has an Apple Watch feel to it with a big square shaped dial. On either side of the display module, it is attached with sporty black and blue (our review unit) strap made of silicone, which is comfortable to wear even though hands are sweaty. Having said that, the strap comes with enough adjustment options to fit even the smallest of wrists. The Colorfit Pro is pretty light and the strap can be detached on both the ends. Talking about the placement, the Colorfit pro has a sensor at the back along with two pogo pins for charging just below it. Nubia Red Magic 2 Gaming phone with Snapdragon 845, 10GB RAM, liquid + air cooling to be announced on November 28

ZTE’s Nubia brand opend crowdfunding for its upcoming second-generation Red Magic Gaming phone via jd.com in China earlier this month. Now the company has announced that it will officially unveil the phone on November 28th at an event in Shanghai, China. The company already confirmed that the phone will be powered by Snapdragon 845 with up to 10GB of RAM, 256GB storage and include both liquid cooling and air cooling to reduce the temperature by up to 13.2 degrees and improve CPU performance by up to 70%. It will run Android 9.0 (Pie) with Red Magic OS on top. The phone with the model number NX619J recently surfaced on AnTuTu with Full HD+ display, Snapdragon 845 SoC, 8GB RAM, 256GB storage and scored whopping 361,730 points. Apple said to have cut down additional production of all three iPhones

Recently it was reported that Apple has cut the additional production of the iPhone XR owing to the poor reception. Now according to report from WSJ, the company has cut production orders for all three iPhone models launched in September in recent weeks. According to the Wall Street Journal source, the company has witnessed a lower-than-expected demand for the new iPhones and Apple's move to offer more iPhone models made it difficult for the company to anticipate the number of components and handsets the company needs. Apple with a lower-than-expected sales forecast for the Christmas quarter has surprised investors and this prompted certain suppliers to issue warnings pointing at week sales of the new iPhones. Apple did not respond to a request for comment. POCO F1 Android 9.0 Pie Global Open Beta update rolling out [Download Link]

Update - November 19, 2018: After closed beta, Xiaomi has released Global Open Beta ROM for the POCO F1 users to gather feedback ahead of stable roll out in the next few weeks. Realme U1 with Helio P70 SoC, Dewdrop notch display launching in India on November 28 exclusively on Amazon

After confirming that the world's first MediaTek Helio P70-powered smartphone will launch under new 'U series', Realme today announced that the phone will be called Realme U1 and will be launched exclusively on Amazon.in on November 28th. The company says that it will come with most powerful selfie camera ever for capturing flawless selfies. It also has a Dewdrop notch that was introduced with the Realme 2 Pro in September, so we can expect high screen-to-body ratio with minimal bezels. The MediaTek Helio P70 is based on the same TSMC’s 12nm FinFET technology as the predecessor, but this comes with multi-core APU operating at up to 525 MHz for fast and efficient edge-AI processing. The AI engine promises a 10 to 30% AI processing boost compared to the Helio P60. It has a slightly over clocked ARM Cortex-A73 2.1 GHz CPUs and four ARM Cortex-A53 2.0 GHz CPUs in an Octa-core big.LITTLE configuration as the P60. It has ARM Mali-G72 MP3 GPU operating at up to 900 MHz, which promises a 13% performance improvement, compared to the Helio P60.  It has support for 20:9 displays at Full HD+ resolution.
