OnePlus 6 OxygenOS 9.0.2 update brings 6T features including Nightscape, Studio Lighting and new navigation gestures

After OnePlus 6 got open beta 6 update earlier this week that brought several features that OnePlus introduced on the OnePlus 6T including new navigation gestures, Nightscape, Studio Lighting and more, the company has rolled out stable OxygenOS 9.0.2 update that with the features. It also adds support to launch Google Assistant or other third party assistant app by holding the power button for 0.5 seconds. The OnePlus 6 OxygenOS 9.0.2 update is about 350MB in size and also includes Android security patch for November 2018. Check out the complete changelog below. WhatsApp beta for Android gets ‘Reply Privately’ and Unicode 11 Emojis

WhatsApp for Android is getting a brand new beta update that brings features like 'Reply Privately' as the name suggests, it allows you to privately reply a message received in a group. When you tap Reply privately, WhatsApp will automatically open the private chat with the contact. You can also use this feature to privately reply old messages in a group even when the 'Send messages' is set to “Only administrators.” Since the feature is enabled in 2.18.335 version or later, you need to update to the latest version. The 2.18.338 update finally brings new Unicode 11 emojis that adds 66 new emojis including softball, kangaroo, partying face, parrot, and more. WhatsApp Private Reply feature allows users to privately send messages to a participant in a group without letting others in the same group know. It is only available for Android and no info on the iOS availability. To use the WhatsApp Private Reply feature, hold the message of the sender to which you have to reply privately and then tap on the three-dotted menu on the top right corner of the app to find the 'Reply Privately' feature. Xiaomi has shipped one million Mi LED TVs in India in over 9 months

Xiaomi today announced that it has shipped more than one million Mi LED TVs in over nine months. One million Mi TVs account for all variants sold across all Xiaomi sale platforms for Mi LED TVs. This achievement marks an industry first and is a key milestone for Xiaomi India. The company says that Xiaomi is the number one Smart TV brand in India as per Q2 2018 worldwide report from IDC. Xiaomi had recently announced it sold over half a million Smart TVs in over six months across online and Mi Home, followed by another  100,000 Mi LED TVs during Diwali sale between 9th October and 11th October. Apple has reported quarterly revenue of $62.9 billion, up 20% over last year with a net profit of $14.1 billion, up 32% YoY or earnings per share of $2.91, an increase of 41% over last year in their earnings for the financial year Q4 2018 that ended September 29, 2018. Google to end support for old Google Contacts app on February 12, 2019

Google recently replaced old Google Contacts app with a new version that has a material design. The company launched new contacts in 2015 to provide a modern, smart, and quick contact management experience. With the recent launch of new contacts, it now has many comparable features from old Contacts and more. This is why Google announced to replace the older version, and it will be the only Google Contacts version after February 12, 2019. The replacement process will take place in three stages; 1: New admin-controlled defaults and user options. On November 28, 2018, Google will change the Admin console setting that controls new Contacts. If you currently have new Contacts preview enabled, new Contacts will be the default and there will be no change for your users. Your users will stay using new Contacts with the option to revert to old Contacts.
