OnePlus will launch 5G smartphone in 2019: Carl Pei

The upcoming OnePlus 6T might that will go official later this month might not faeture 5G support. OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei at the 4G/5G Summit 2018 in Hong Kong announced that OnePlus will be one of the first companies to launch 5G smartphones next year. He also said that OnePlus and his team had already conducted a 5G test at Qualcomm's headquarters in San Diego back in August. This smartphone could be the successor of the OnePlus 6T that will likely arrive in mid-2019. This will likely be powered by the Snapdragon X50 5G modem and the latest QTM052 mmWave antenna module that was introduced today. POCO F1 Widevine L1 support expected to arrive soon

Xiaomi's sub-brand POCO launched POCO F1 couple of months ago in India, the smartphone has been in news since the launch for the good reasons except for a  few issues, but the company has been very responsive towards addressing the issues. POCO F1 lacks widevine L1 support because of which POCO F1 users can not stream HD content on Netflix and Amazon Prime Videos, in response to users on Twitter the company spokesperson mentioned that company is investigating the issue. Now, as per a thread by MIUI Forum admin, the company is working with Google and Qualcomm, and is planning to release an update which will bring the widevine L1 support to POCO F1. The update is expected to be released soon, but it will be rolled out to MIUI Beta ROM users first by Q4, 2018, which is within this December. Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 – 24MP Dual front cameras, 5G, 10GB RAM and 960 fps Super Slow-motion recording confirmed, slider design teased in video

Last week Xiaomi confirmed that the Mi MIX 3 will be introduced at an event in Beijing on October 25th. In the past few days the company has confirmed several features of the smartphone, including 24-megapixel Dual front cameras with LED flash, 5G support, 10GB of RAM and more. Paytm teams up with SoftBank and Yahoo Japan to launch ‘PayPay’ QR-based Settlement Service

Paytm has announced that “PayPay” corporation, a joint venture between SoftBank Corp, Yahoo Japan Corporation, and Paytm has launched PayPay, a smartphone-based settlement service in Japan. PayPay is a feature-rich smartphone-based settlement service that allows users to store money from a bank account in their wallet and make payments with it. PayPay aims to promote the broader use of cashless payment in Japan and to provide highly convenient services to both consumers and affiliated stores. It is built around the QR-technology from Paytm. PayPay has also announced an exciting proposition for its users and will be giving electronic money equivalent to 500 Yen to each customer downloading the application and authenticating it with a valid Japanese mobile number.
