Google Pixel 3 Hands On Impressions : ‘Notch’ Your Average Flagship

Is the Pixel 3 XL the most leaked smartphone in history? That's entirely possible. But hardware only tells a part of the story. We were at the launch of Google’s latest in New York and here’s our first impressions of the all new Google Pixel 3 family. Let’s talk design. The ‘notch’ has taken over practically all Android flagships and the larger Pixel is no exception. Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve probably seen leaked images of the Pixel 3 XL and we can confirm that the notch is just as big as you’d feared. Even larger than the chin of the phone, it cuts deep into the 6.3” OLED panel. It's not ideal and won’t help the phone win any design awards but as I’ve observed over the last few months of ‘notch’ living, you get used to it. Should you have to? Probably not but hey, Google justifies it by adding in dual cameras as well as dual front firing speakers. More on these in a bit. Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL Photo Gallery

Google just announced the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL smartphones at an event in the US. Here we have first look of the phone in the form of photo gallery. The Pixel 3 has a 5.5-inch Full HD+ OLED display with 18:9 aspect ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. On the other hand, the Pixel 3 XL comes with a 6.3-inch Quad HD+ display with 18.5:9 aspect ratio and a notch as well as Corning Gorilla Glass protection. Both have dual front firing speakers that promise 40% better sound compared to the predecessor. These run the latest Android 9.0 (Pie). Google Pixel Slate with 12.3-inch (3000 x 2000 pixels) display, Intel processor, up to 16GB RAM, Chrome OS announced

Google, along with the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, also introduced the Pixel Slate, the company's latest tablet running Chrome OS that can also run Android apps via Google Play. It has a new 12.3-inch  (3000 x 2000 pixels) 293 PPI 2.5D curved glass Molecular Display, is just 7mm thin and has  dual front-firing speakers. It has an extra layer of protection with the Titan security chip so your information, device passwords and OS are protected on your device. It is powered by 8th Gen Intel Core m3, i5 or i7 processor, or Intel Celeron processor, up to 16GB of RAM, up to 256 GB storage, and 8MP cameras on both the rear and front, and the front-facing Duo Cam provides an extra wide field of view. The power button doubles as a fingerprint sensor and the Pixel Slate promises up to 12 hours of battery life with typical mixed usage. Google Photos gets new ‘live album’ automatic sharing, and depth editor

Google has introduced the 'Live Album' feature that can turn any album into a live album. You can just choose the people you want to see, and Google Photos will automatically add photos of them to your album as you take them and then share the album with family and friends. The Live albums will display all your latest photos, and you can also ask  “Hey Google, show my pictures,” and they’ll pop up on display. The Google Home Hub also adjusts the screen brightness and color temperature based on its surroundings, so your photos fit more naturally into your space. Google Pixel 3 features Top Shot feature that will ensure you always get the best shot. When you take a motion photo, Top Shot automatically captures alternate shots in HDR+, then recommends the best one even if it’s not exactly when you hit the shutter. You can view the recommendation in your Google Photos app and scroll back and forth to see all the other frames. Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL India price revealed, pre-orders begin October 11

Google just announced the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL smartphones with 5.5-inch FHD+ and 6.3-inch QHD+ OLED displays and dual front cameras at an event in the US. At the event it said that these will start at $799 and $899. It has also announced the pricing and availability for India. Pixel 3 (64GB): ₹71,000 Pixel 3 (128GB): ₹80,000 Pixel 3 XL (64GB): ₹83,000 Pixel 3 XL (128GB): ₹92,000 The Pixel Stand is priced at ₹6,900. Both the phone will be available for pre-order from Thursday, 11th October 2018 on Flipkart, Airtel’s online store, and at offline partners including Reliance Digital, Croma and other leading stores across India, and will go on sale from 1st November 2018.
