Samsung Galaxy S10 powered by Exynos 9820 could come with dedicated NPU

Samsung is working on Exynos 9820, successor of the Exynos 9810, which will likely debut with the Galaxy S10 next year. Now, ex-Samsung Senior Hardware Design Engineer working on the next Exynos flagship chip on LinkedIn has mentioned that Samsung has completed working on its second-generation NPU architecture earlier this year. Even the Exynos 9810 that is powering the Galaxy S9, S9+ and the Note9 feature AI capabilities, but the 9820 is expected to be the first Samsung chip with dedicated NPU for better AI experience. Even the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 8150 chipset is expected to include a dedicated NPU. Last month, CEO of Samsung’s mobile division, said that the Galaxy S10 design changes will be very significant and will be available in amazing colors. Reliance Jio to connect 2385 Govt schools and colleges in Uttarakhand

Reliance Jio has announced that in the next two years it will connect most of the 2,385-plus government schools and colleges with high-speed Internet in Uttarakhand to make the State a ‘Digital Devbhoomi.’ Ambani also said that Jio will promote environment protecting industries and businesses. Hospitality firm OYO said it will invest ₹500 crore in building hospitality ecosystem in Uttarakhand to boost the tourism potential of the State. OYO said it had signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Uttarakhand government and it will be expanding its chain in the region by adding over 35,000 rooms in cities. Furthermore, ITC said that the company has already invested an outlay of ₹1,400 crore and is looking to scale up, given the future potential of the State. Reliance currently has over 100 retail stores and is planning to continue to grow these at a healthy rate. Here’s what to expect from Google event on October 9th – Pixel 3, Pixel 3 XL, Pixel Slate, Home Hub and more

It looks like Google is planning to reveal a lot of hardware products on October 9th event. One among them is the Pixel Slate book aka‘Nocturne’, which was in the news for a while and today we are getting to see the detachable tablet in render images. Going the leaked images, it looks like the Pixel Slate book will run on Chrome OS as expected and feature a detachable keyboard and an active stylus. It will be the first Chrome OS tablet and has slightly newer software and UI design. It will feature a touchscreen display with 3:2 aspect ratio and comes with a capacitive stylus similar to the one launched with last year’s Pixelbook laptop. It looks like the Pixel Slate book will have a front camera and a rear camera along with the Google logo. The power button is at the top and it could feature a built-in fingerprint reader. Samsung has been ruling the charts for some time now under the high-end segment giving a tough competition. But the company recreating the same magic with mid-range smartphones under Rs. 40,000? Well, the answer is no! With the penetration of Chinese handset makers including OnePlus, Huawei and other, the South Korean giant finding it tough to crack the market. AMD Threadripper 2970WX and Threadripper 2920X for high-end desktops to go on sale from October 29th

AMD has announced the availability of 2nd Generation Ryzen Threadripper family; the AMD Threadripper 2970WX and the AMD Threadripper 2920X for high-end desktops. Both these will be available for purchase globally on October 29. The AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2970WX processor uses four eight-core Zeppelin on a single piece substrate, but with one core disabled within each CCX (two per die). The CPU has 24 cores with SMT technology and running at 3.0-4.2 GHz, 64 MB of cache, a quad-channel DDR4-2933 memory subsystem, and 60+4 lanes of PCIe Gen 3. It has a 250 W TDP. The company says that it is designed for high-end desktops and the Ryzen Threadripper 2920X uses two Zen+ dies with two cores disabled within each of them. It is running its 12 cores with SMT at 3.5-4.3 GHz; the chip offers 32 MB of cache, a quad-channel DDR4-2933 memory subsystem, and 60+4 lanes of PCIe Gen 3. Thanks to the TDP of 180 W, the Threadripper 2 is compatible with any AMD X399-powered platform with a proper BIOS. Flipkart has announced that it is foraying into insurance after securing a corporate agent license. The company will offer customized insurance solutions to power its Complete Mobile Protection program for all leading mobile brands being sold on its platform in partnership with Bajaj Allianz General Insurance. It will offer both cash payout option or free pick up, service and drop convenience to customers. The insurance will be available from October 10th which marks the start of Flipkart’s The Big Billion Days (TBBD). According to IDC, the smartphone market in India will continue double-digit growth in 2018 and Flipkart’s share of online phone sales is currently about 65%. It is aimed at giving complete protection against a variety of perils and damages, internal & external, the insurance will be valid for a year, covering accidental, screen, and liquid damage along with theft. Microsoft Windows 10 October update suspended over reports of files being deleted

Soon after rolling out the announcing and rolling out the Windows 10 October 2018 update, Microsoft has stopped distributing the Update over user reported of documents being deleted. The company took it to the support site to announce the same.  Microsoft is recommending that affected users contact the company directly, and if you have manually downloaded the update, it is asking not to install the update until the new media is available. There are reports of Microsoft Edge browser and other store apps not connecting to the internet after the October 2018 Update, and the update was even blocked on certain PCs due to Intel driver incompatibilities. At this moment, it isn't clear how many Windows 10 users are affected by the problem. Even though, if the number is small, it is still surprising to see the issue was never picked up during Microsoft’s testing of the October update. The company has been struggling with the quality of Windows updates recently.
