Nokia True Wireless Earbuds and Pro Wireless Earphones announced

HMD Global, along with the Nokia 7.1 also introduced the Nokia True Wireless Earbuds and the Nokia Pro Wireless Earphones. The True Wireless Earbuds weighs just 5 grams per earbud and promises 3.5 hours play time, and the charging case can hold three charges giving a total of up to 16 hours of talk time. The Nokia Pro Wireless Earphones has a neckband design, offers up to 10 hours of playback time from a single charge, has a built-in vibration function alerts user of incoming calls, and the smart magnetic earbuds lets you just separate them from each other to answer calls or play music. Both are sweat and splash proof. Nokia 7.1 Hands on Impressions: Premium Mid-range Never Felt so Good

Slotting in between the Nokia 7 Plus and the 6 series, the all new Nokia 7.1 is an interesting device that is bringing the best of  Nokia's design chops to the mid range segment. A device that is predominantly designed to make inroads in the European markets, it plays it safe but makes the right additions to make it all the more appealing. We spent a bit of time checking out the phone and came out quite liking what the company has done here. Android Pie update coming to Nokia 6.1 and 6.1 Plus in October, Nokia 8 and Nokia 8 Sirocco in November

HMD Global rolled out Android 9.0 (Pie) update for the Nokia 7 Plus last week. Today the company at its Nokia 7.1 launch event in London announced when the Pie update will arrive for its older phones. The Nokia 6.1 and the latest Nokia 6.1 Plus smartphones will get the update this October and the Nokia 8 and Nokia 8 Sirocco will get it next month. The company has not promised any timeline for other phones, but it said that it will be available Nokia already promised that its smartphones will get Android updates for 2 years and security updates for 3 years from the launch date since its phones are Android. Android 9 update will include AI powered features. The Adaptive Battery feature limits battery usage from apps you don’t use often, and App Actions predicts what you’re about to do so you can get to your next action quickly.

HMD Global just announced the Nokia 7.1, the company's latest mid-range Android One smartphone, after it surfaced recently. The main highlight of the phone is its 5.84-inch Full HD+  19:9 screen with a notch, 80% screen-to-body ratio, has support for HDR and also supports SD to HDR real-time conversion. With HDR10 support; 1 million: 1 dynamic contrast ratio; 500-million pixels processed per second providing smooth and accurate HDR video.The display also adapts to indoor and bright outdoor sunlight. The company calls it PureDisplay. It runs on Android 8.1 (Oreo) but the company has promised Android 9.0 (Pie) update . It has 12MP (RGB) + 5MP (Monochrome) dual rear cameras with ZEISS Optics and fast accurate autofocus. The 8MP AI enhanced front facing camera supports facial recognition.  It has a 6000 series aluminium frame and uses dual-anodised diamond cut coloured edge. It packs a 3060mAh battery with support for USB Type-C fast charging that can charge the phone from 0 to 50% in just 30 minutes. Xiaomi teams up with Dixon Technologies to manufacture Mi LED TVs in India

After rumors, Xiaomi today announced that it has tied up with homegrown consumer electronics contract manufacturer Dixon Technologies for ‘Make in India’ Mi TV. The plant is located in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, spread across 32 acres and employs around 850 people. The factory will result in a production capacity of 100,000 Mi LED TVs per month by Q1 2019. Xiaomi has started manufacturing 32-inch and 43-inch Mi TV 4A Smart TV models at the plant currently, and is expected to expand to the latest Mi LED TV Pro models in the future. Xiaomi currently pays 20% duty for importing its televisions as entirely built units, resulting in 2% surcharge. Local production in open cell route attracts just 5% import duty, with 1% additional surcharge. It recently increased the price of its 55-inch Mi TV 4 by Rs. 5000 due to importing of PCBAs to ramp up the supply due to huge demand. Panasonic Eluga X1 and X1 Pro with ‘AI Sense’ IR face unlock, dual rear cameras launched starting at at Rs. 22990

Panasonic today has launched the Eluga X1 and X1 Pro and is entering the much-awaited high-end smartphone segment. These come with AI Sense' infrared face unlock that can unlock even in dark, pack stainless body and 2.5D curved glass on the front.  Panasonic Eluga X1 and X1 Pro feature a 6.18-inch full-HD+ (1080x2246 pixels) display with notch and have Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Both the smartphones pack dual-rear cameras with 16+5MP setup along with LED flash and traditional features like a bokeh mode. The smartphones come with a 16MP front camera with Bokeh mode, Face Emoji, and Face Beauty modes. Samsung ‘Winner’ foldable smartphone and Snapdragon 855/SM8150 surfaces in Galaxy S9’s Android Pie firmware

In an unreleased Android Pie firmware that is meant for the Galaxy S9, present are the references of upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 8150 chipset as well as Samsung’s first foldable smartphone that is code-named “Winner.” Samsung's foldable smartphone doesn't come as a surprise since the rumors about the phone are in the news for a while now.  Samsung has already confirmed that Foldable phone, but the launch date still remains as a confusion. We know that it will come with triple rear cameras, OLED display. Samsung said to have showcased an in-folding prototype of the foldable smartphone to the industry partners at a secret meeting during the CES 2018 earlier this year. The prototype said to pack three OLED panels of 3.5 inches each, two of them when combined creates a 7-inches screen when the smartphone is unfolded, while the third panel was placed on the outside of the in-folding prototype as an information ticker.
