Facebook adds new tools to fight public harassment and bullying
Facebook has introduced new tools and programs that will let users to better control unwanted, offensive or hurtful experiences on Facebook. It is giving more control over how users interact with your posts on Facebook because comments can sometimes be used to bully or harass people. It is introducing a new way for users to hide or delete multiple comments at once from the options menu of their post. This feature is rolling out on desktop and Android and will be available on iOS in the coming months. Furthermore, it is also testing ways to more easily search for and block offensive words from appearing in comments. You can also report users on someone's behalf via the menu above the post that you are concerned about. Once reported, Facebook's Community operations team will review the post, keep your report anonymous, and determine whether it violates. It will also let users appeal decisions on cases involving bullying and harassment. In the coming weeks, Facebook said that it will further expand its policies to better protect public figures against harassment regardless of age. After the Nokia 7.1 Plus (TA-1131) got certified by TENAA last week, now the live images and specifications of the Nokia 7.1 (TA-1100) has surfaced. Adam Mosseri appointed as head of Instagram
After quitting from their positions, Instagram's Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger announced that Adam Mosseri, current Vice President of Product, will become the head of Instagram starting today. Adam began his career as a designer, managed his own design consultancy, and then joined the Facebook design team in 2008. After joining Facebook, he was moved from designing to product management. In this new role as the Instagram lead, Adam will oversee all functions of the business and will recruit a new executive team including a head of engineering, head of product and head of operations. Facebook said to be testing map view for Nearby Friends
Facebook is said to be testing a new 'Map view' in Nearby Friends feature which is already present in the app. The 'Near By' feature lets you know approximately where your friends are in your area. This new feature that Facebook is testing will let you see the rough locations of friends in your area. Google ‘Voice Access’ with hands-free control released for Android
Google is working on an accessibility product that lets Android users control their device with their voice. This new product is called 'Voice-access' this app has been in beta for two years and is finally releasing to users. The Voice Access provides a hands-free experience for Android, letting people navigate through apps, compose and edit text, and talk to the Google Assistant. The app provides more fine-grained controls than other voice commands like letting you use your voice to "click" buttons and controls within apps, or scroll and navigate app screens. The 'Voice Access' can also provide value to people who don’t have a disability. You can compose and edit a text message hands-free by saying “Ok Google,” and open your favorite app with the “open” command. Speaking commands such as “delete the line” or “undo” will start over and when you’ve finished, you can say “stop listening.” Voice Access is available globally in English and support for additional language coming in the future. Huawei Watch GT Wear OS smartwatch with 1.39-inch AMOLED display, new design, Snapdragon 3100 surfaces
Huawei might be silently working on a smartwatch; a segment which it isn't done with yet. The company's upcoming Watch GT has surfaced on the internet with details. It is possible that the company might be launching the smartwatch along with the Mate 20 series in October. The watch is said to come in two variant; one is regular and another is a sports model. It is primarily focused on keeping it long-term and at low-price. It is said to sport a 1.39-inch round AMOLED display and pack two side-mounted buttons that can be operated via a touchscreen. It connects to a smartphone via Bluetooth and includes features like a compass, a pressure sensor, and an accelerometer. A heart rate monitor is probably installed along with NFC, GPS. Huawei's Watch GT is waterproof and despite being two different models, both have the same "Multi-Sport" and "Sports Coach" functions, with which one can track different sports.
