Amazon introduces new Echo Dot, new Echo Plus and Echo Sub Subwoofer in India starting at Rs. 4499

Amazon has introduces new line-up of Echo devices, and an Echo companion device that include: 3rd generation Echo Dot, 2nd generation Echo Plus and new Echo Sub subwoofer for Echo devices in India. The 3rd-generation Echo Dot features a new curved shape, fabric design and more powerful sound. You can connect devices to it via Bluetooth or 3.5mm audio cable. It offers louder with richer sound, all in a compact design. The 2nd-generation Echo Plus includes an embedded temperature sensor, so you can set temperature-based routines using other smart home devices. It also has a larger 3-inch Neodymium woofer and increased back volume for improved bass and the mids and highs are clearer. It also features an all-new fabric design. The Echo Sub is the first wireless Echo subwoofer offering thumping 100W deep bass sound through a 6" woofer when listening to music on their existing or new Echo devices. You can connect Echo Sub to compatible Echo devices to create a 1.1 or 2.1 pairing for stereo sound. GoPro HERO7 Black with HyperSmooth Gimbal-like stabilization, live streaming announced

GoPro today introduced HERO7 Black, after a leak  earlier this month. It has HyperSmooth, which the company says is the best in-camera video SuperPhotostabilization ever featured in a camera, offering gimbal-like stabilized video without a motorized gimbal. iFFALCON introduces world’s first 32-inch HD Ready Android TV with AI assistant in India

iFFALCON, smart TV brand from TCL has introduced  the world’s First 32-inch (32F2A), HD-ready, Google-certified Android TV with AI assistant in India.  The company launched range of Smart LED TVs. The iFFALCON 32F2A has Micro Dimming and white LED HD backlight features to enhance the colour gamut to provide more dynamic and vibrant contrast. It runs Android 8.0 (Oreo) with in-built Google Assistant to easily access entertainment, search for information, and control other connected devices across your home with voice. It also has Dolby audio, similar to the company's 32-inch 32F2 model. iFFALCON will also launch 40F2A and the iFFALCON 49F2A – in October 2018. In addition to sizes 32, 40 and 49, the iFFALCON will also launch 65 and 75-inch TVs in Google certified Android range this festive season. HMD Global introduced the Nokia 5.1 Plus along with the Nokia 6.1 Plus in India last month. It said that the phone will be available in the country in September. Today the company has confirmed that the phone will launch on September 24th exclusively on Flipkart. Apple iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR certification reveals battery capacity and RAM

Apple unveiled iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR, the company’s next-generation iPhones last week. Apple doesn’t mentions battery capacity for the iPhones on its site, and we usually find those details later on certification sites or in teardowns. Now all these phones have been certified by TENAA in China revealing battery capacities and RAM. To remind you, last year's iPhone X comes with 2716mAh battery and 3GB LPDDR4x RAM. The 5.8-inch iPhone XS actually has a smaller 2658mAh battery compared to the iPhone X, but the 6.5-inch iPhone XS Max packs a 3174mAh battery. Both these have 4GB of RAM. The 6.1-inch iPhone XR has a 2942mAh battery and 3GB of RAM. We should know more details about the hardware of the iPhones, including the modem when iFixit or TechInsights does a teardown. Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro and Redmi Y2 MIUI 10 Beta testing to start soon

Xiaomi announced Redmi Y2 running on MIUI 9.5 based on Android Oreo 8.1 and also announced MIUI 10 Global Beta ROM at the same event back in June. The company recently launched Redmi 6 Pro running on MIUI 9.6 based on Android Oreo 8.1 in India along with Redmi 6A and Redmi 6 on 5th Sep. Qualcomm announces open-source DIRBS platform to combat counterfeit, stolen devices

Qualcomm today announced that it is making its Device Identification, Registration, and Blocking System (DIRBS) platform as freely downloadable open-source software. The DIRBS server-based software platform can be used to help identify illegal, and stolen mobile devices in a country. The DIRBS software platform will help regulatory agencies classify devices and generate IMEI-based lists for notification, amnesty, and blocking purposes. This move comes as its efforts to combat the improper use of counterfeit, illegal and stolen devices on cellular networks. Qualcomm says that counterfeiting resulted in around 184M global lost smartphone sales units in 2015. The DIRBS server-based software platform will be hosted on the open-source software website Github, and may be freely downloaded from here and used by anyone. Mohammad Raheel Kamal, Senior Director, IPR Enforcement, Qualcomm Incorporated said: Counterfeit devices are a significant problem worldwide and result in an estimated45.3 billion EUR in lost sales to genuine manufacturers each year, according to a recent European Union Intellectual Property Office Study issued in February of 2017.
