OnePlus Crackables series of crypto-challenges for gamers lets you win ultimate gaming setup worth 21 lakhs

OnePlus today has announced the Crackables which is its limited-time game created together with their friends at Google. It is a game that is developed as a challenging series of Android-based crypto-puzzles and is open for anyone to participate. Crackables is a mobile-only experience. The game is written by  Sleep Deprivation Lab and comprises of a series of compelling puzzles that need a combination of skill and speed to complete. Players will be guided through a series of puzzles, both digital and physical, in order to keep progressing.  The company says that only the first 1000 people to make it through the first 3 challenges will qualify to continue and have the microcontroller sent to them to become a potential winner. It will also include the opportunities to win prizes at multiple stages in the game, but only 1 will be awarded an ultimate gaming setup, valued at $30,000 (around Rs. 21 lakhs). To create the game, OnePlus has partnered with Google Asia-Pacific ZOO. The ZOO team developed the Crackables concept and worked with award-winning digital production company Unit 9 on the game design and puzzle mechanics, using Google's Dialogflow which is a conversational platform powered by machine learning to create a virtual chatbot “host”.  The game will begin ...

Amazon Pay launches card-less EMI with instant credit of up to Rs. 60,000

After Flipkart launched EMI on debit cards,  Amazon Pay today launched card-less EMIs for selected Amazon customers, so that they can make high value purchases even without credit cards during the festive season. This offers instant financing options to customers who may not yet have access to credit for purchasing high value products, up to Rs. 60,000 by splitting their purchases into instalments at low interest rates. This is an invite only program currently and selected customers have to complete a simple two-step registration process to get an assigned credit limit which they can use to make high value purchases on Amazon marketplace, said the company. Upon providing their PAN and KYC details (no document uploads required), selected customers will be instantly provided credit limit up to Rs. 60,000. Interest will be charged only when customers make a purchase using this assigned credit limit and there are no processing fees or hidden charges. Customers will have an option to setup auto repayments (standing instructions) for hassle-free repayment of their monthly installments. Flipkart said to be eyeing stakes in Hotstar to enter video streaming service

Flipkart is said to have held talks to buy a stake in Star India's Hotstar streaming service. This move comes as a part of retailers strategy to grow big on video content and attract more Internet consumers and shoppers, according to people aware with the matter. However, the talks still haven't reached an advanced stage so the transaction might or might not result in a transaction. Flipkart already has tie-ups with Hotstar as it launched a new video advertisement platform with Hotstar in July. The talks with Hotstar come at a time when demand for video streaming services is at all time high where companies are investing huge for content. Flipkart seems to have identified content as next big thing is betting big on it without having to build prime-like service from scratch. An investment or strategic alliance with Hotstar would go some way in addressing that gap for Flipkart. Honor 7X update brings GPU Turbo, Party Mode, latest security patch and more in India

Huawei's Honor brand is rolling out a new update to Honor 7X which brings the much anticipated GPU Turbo feature to improve gaming experience, Party Mode to sync music playback across phones for better sound effects and more. The update brings the version number 8.0.0.360 for the BND-AL10 device variants.  The GPU Turbo reconstructs the traditional graphics processing framework at the lower layer system, greatly improving the user experience, improves graphics processing efficiency by 60% while reducing the SoC (System on Chip) energy consumption by 30% and will benefit mobile games that demand high graphics processing efficiency. Xiaomi India teases launch of 5 new products for Smarter Living soon

Xiaomi India today released a teaser for the launch of five new products for Smarter Living. The GIF highlights the products with an image that are repeated twice.  The company is also running a contest to guess these 5 upcoming Xiaomi products and says that one winner who guesses the product correctly will win a surprise gift, and 10 lucky winners will win F-codes of the upcoming Xiaomi products. The heart image in the GIF could indicate the Mi Band 3 that was introduced back in May, the image with popcorn could be new Mi TV, image with breeze could indicate Mi Air Purifier MAX which was introduced last year, the one with an eye could be the action camera, and finally there is a GPS-powered device.
