Huawei Maimang 7 with 6.3-inch FHD+ display, Kirin 710, 6GB RAM, dual front and rear cameras to be announced on September 12

After the phone got certified by TENAA, Huawei has officially confirmed that the Maimang 7 smartphone will be introduced in China on September 12th. It was introduced in UK as Mate 20 Lite in UK a couple of weeks back and has dual front and rear cameras with AI feature than can recognise over 500 scenarios in 22 categories, 480 fps Super Slow Motion, HDR Pro, Studio Lighting and 3D Qmoji. Twitter launches audio-only broadcast for iOS and Periscope

Social media and micro-blogging service Twitter has launched a new service that let users create audio-only broadcast directly from Twitter itself, as well as Twitter’s Periscope. This feature is available from the same interface where the user normally launches live video. Having said that, it’s currently available on the Twitter app for iOS, as well as on Periscope. MIUI Launcher gets Hidden Apps feature, here’s how to enable it

Xiaomi’s MIUI is well-known for the customizations it offers, despite being user-friendly and customizable people have some complaints with MIUI such as Notification Shade and MIUI Launcher. Xiaomi tried fixing the notification shade with MIUI 9 notification shade and further improved it with MIUI 10 notification shade but MIUI Launcher didn’t get much improvement with new MIUI versions. Instagram has been adding lots of new features lately in a bid to keep up with the trend. Google updates Gboard with support for 28 new languages

Google has updated its Gboard app bringing support for 28 new language varieties, including two German dialects, Finland Swedish, and Tahitian. With this update, the Gboard supports 446 language variants on Android. The 28 new languages includes Assyrian Neo-Aramaic, Gheg Albanian, Betawi, Bukusu, Chiga, Dargwa, Extremaduran, Gondi, Garo, Hiri, Hunsrik, Jambi Malay, Kurukh, Lango, Kedah Malay, Sabah Malay, Masaba, Nyoro, Picard, Pfaelzisch, Balkan Romani, Tahitian, Soga. Last month, Google added 16 new languages including Handwriting Input for 4 others languages. It has also added support for Japanese in Android TV and improvements to Morse code.The company also introduced new "minis" sticker pack as a celebration towards passing 1 billion installs on the Play Store. Samsung opens new Artificial Intelligence (AI) center in New York

South Korean giant Samsung has announced that it will open a new artificial intelligence (AI) research center in New York City, the U.S., to strengthen its AI capabilities. The New York AI Center will be led by Daniel D. Lee, Executive Vice President of Samsung Research and a global authority in AI robotics, who joined Samsung Electronics last June. Further, with cooperation from a leading authority in neuroscience-based AI technologies, H. Sebastian Seung, Executive Vice President of Samsung Research, the New York AI Center will spearhead the advanced AI research in robotics. Moreover, Samsung has already announced plans to expand its advanced AI research capabilities to employ about 1,000 specialists by 2020. This is the sixth center with others situated in Korea, the U.K., Canada, Russia, and Silicon Valley, the U.S. The company is expected to expand its AI centers to other technology and talent-rich areas to cement its place as a leader of AI research in the industry. Apple is gearing up to introduced its next-generation iPhone at an event in a couple of days, now the name of the smartphones and their pricing have surfaced in China. The 6.5-inch OLED iPhone and the 5.8-inch OLED iPhone are said to called the iPhone XS Plus and the iPhone XS, respectively. The cheaper 6.1-inch LCD model is said to be called the iPhone XC. All the iPhones are said to feature a notch, Face ID with gesture-based control system and new A12 processor.
