Apple reveals 95% iOS 11 adoption ahead of iOS 12 launch next week
Apple is dominating the headlines for past few weeks regarding the leaks, speculations about its upcoming iPhone series launch. However, this time, it's for a different reason and it has to do with iOS adoption rate. According to the statistics shared by the Cupertino giant, iOS 11 operating system is now installed on 85 percent of devices as of September 3. Out of the remaining 15 percent, 10 percent continues to use iOS 10 and five percent continue to use an earlier version like iOS 8 or iOS 9. Moving on to the adoption rate, the iOS 11 is comparatively slower than its predecessor and this might be due to the multiple bugs affecting iOS 11. Some including the homekit bug, the Spectre and Meltdown vulnerabilities, iPhone slowdown controversy and others. With iOS 12, the Cupertino giant is planning to focus more on improving the performance on older devices by giving it a quicker feel to the operating system, faster app launch and load times. A few days back, Apple officially scheduled the event on September 12 at Steve Jobs Theater located at the company Apple Park campus. At this event, Apple is expected to announce three iPhone – 6.5-inch OLED iPhone XS, another ...

What is Dual Pixel technology?
Vivo ranks high amongst the brands that have been at the forefront of smartphone innovation. Be it in-screen fingerprint recognition, hi-fi music chips, motorized cameras or sheer camera technology, the company is making massive strides towards bringing the next-generation technology to consumers. The X21 was amongst the first Vivo smartphones with Dual Pixel camera technology (2PD). With the V11 Pro launch right around the corner, we expect the phone to pack the same tech. Let’s take a deeper look into the Dual Pixel technology to see what makes it tick. There’s a lot going on with the camera on the Vivo V11 Pro, the 12MP primary sensor that is paired with a 5MP secondary sensor for better low light capabilities and of course, portrait mode. What caught our eye was the f/1.8 aperture lens on the primary camera that should go a long way in improving low light capabilities. The 1.28 µm pixel sensor size too is adequate to enable high quality low light photography. The most interesting of course is the dual pixel technology that is poised to improve low light capture and more importantly, the autofocus capabilities. First things first, light is the biggest factor in photography. A higher pixel ...
