Apple iPhone XS with 5.8-inch and 6.5-inch OLED display and Apple Watch Series 4 with larger, edge-to-edge display surface

After Apple announced its exclusive event on September 12th, press images of the 5.8-inch and 6.5-inch OLED models have surfaced, and these are expected to be called  iPhone XS. These are expected to come in new gold color option. Earlier rumors revealed that all the iPhone models will have a notch, Face ID with gesture-based control system and new A12 processor. Press image of the Apple Watch Series 4 has also surfaced revealing a large edge-to-edge display ~15% bigger compared to the Series 3, as well as minimal bezels around the watch display. It is also said to come with a new watch face capable of showing a lot of information. This analog watch face will show a total of eight complications around the time and within the clock hands. There is a new hole between the side button and Digital Crown, which could be a secondary microphone. It will also include a new Digital Crown and side button. We should know more details about the iPhone XS and the Apple Watch Series 4 before they go official in a couple of weeks. Source 1, 2

Google Pixel 3 with 5.5-inch FHD+ display, Snapdragon 845, Android 9.0 Pie surfaces in live image

After several Pixel 3 XL leaks, we have live images of the Pixel 3, thanks to a Reddit user. This reveals no-notch design, dual front speaker, glass + metal back, rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and more. The Reddit user who posted the image said that the device was part of a testing program through a carrier other than Verizon, even though earlier rumors said that it will be Verizon-exclusive. Screenshots show some of the specs including a 5.5-inch (2160 x 1080) 18:9 aspect ratio display, Snapdragon 845, 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage, Dual 8.1MP front cameras with f/1.8 and f/2.2 aperture, respectively, and a 2,915mAh battery, slightly smaller than the 3,430mAh battery on t. It is expected to come bundled with USB Type-C headphones as we had seen in the Pixel 3 XL leak. ZTE at the IFA 2018 in Berlin has introduced its flagship Axon 9 Pro smartphone, as it had promised. It has a 6.21-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a notch, support for HDR10, is powered by Snapdragon 845 with 6GB of RAM, runs Android 8.1 (Oreo), has a 12-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX363 sensor, OIS, Dual Pixel auto focus and a secondary 20-megapixel rear camera with 130-degree wide-angle lens and a 20-megapixel front camera. It has IP68 ratings for water resistance, glass back with a fingerprint sensor and a 4,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 4.0 as well as wireless charging. ASUS announces new ZenBook 13, 14 and 15, ZenBook Flip 13 and 15 convertible laptops and ZenBook Pro 14 with ScreenPad

At the ongoing IFA 2018 event, Asus has announced a range of laptops including ZenBook, ZenBook Flip, and ZenBook Pro featuring the latest 8th Gen Intel Core processors. Under Zenbook series, the company has launched ZenBook 13 (UX333), ZenBook 14 (UX433) and ZenBook 15 (UX533), which as per the company is world's most compact 13.3-inch, 14-inch, and 15.6-inch laptops. All the three laptops come with frameless ASUS NanoEdge display with ultraslim bezels having a 95% screen-to-body ratio. Also, the new models features the latest quad-core 8th Generation Intel Core i7 processor with integrated Gigabit Wi-Fi optimized for Intel Wireless-AC 9560 and up to NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Max-Q graphics. Talking about the ZenBook Flip, the company unveiled ZenBook Flip 13 (UX362) and ZenBook Flip 15 (UX562) convertibles. Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 with bezel-less display, slide-out design to be announced in October

After the Honor event, in which the company announced the Magic 2 with a full-screen display with ultra narrow bezels and a slide-out design, Xiaomi Co-founder and President Lin Bin posted a photo of the smartphone and said that it will be introduced in October. This will likely be the Mi MIX 3, successor of the Mi Mix 2S, which was introduced  earlier this year. He did not reveal any details about the phone, but it will likely include 3D face unlock that was introduced in the Mi 8, large FHD+ AMOLED display with screen-to-body ratio of over 90%,  Snapdragon 845 with up to 8GB, and similar AI dual rear cameras as the Mi 8. It is doubtful if there will be an in-display fingerprint sensor, but there might be a special edition with the feature, like the  Mi 8 Explorer Edition. BlackBerry KEY2 LE with 4.5-inch FHD+ 3:2 display, QWERTY keyboard, Snapdragon 636, dual rear cameras announced

TCL Communication has introduced BlackBerry KEY2 LE, a cheaper version of the KEY2 at the IFA.  It has a similar design as the BlackBerry KEY2 which includes 4.5-inch (1620 x 1080 pixels) display with minimized screen bezels, 4-row QWERTY physical backlit keyboard, fingerprint sensor built into the spacebar and redesigned chassis and also comes with the recently introduced Speed Key for a more customized universal shortcut experience,  but this is powered by Snapdragon 636 with 4GB of RAM, different cameras and a 3,000mAh battery. It features a lightweight polycarbonate frame and a new designed soft textured back that will offer a better in-hand grip to prevent drops. It is both thinner and lighter and boasts a redesigned keyboard with keys that are nearly 10 percent larger than those featured on the BlackBerry KEYone.  The Speed Key is complimented by 52 customizable shortcuts, so you can program each key to instantly bring up the contacts and apps you use most. Apple ‘Gather Round’ special event scheduled for September 12, new iPhones, iPads and more expected

Apple has officially announced its September 12th event, after recent rumors. This year’s invite The event takes place at Steve Jobs Theater located at the company Apple Park campus. Apple is expected to announce three iPhone - 6.5-inch OLED iPhone X Plus, 5.8-inch OLED iPhone X successor and a cheaper 6.1-inch LCD model all with a notch, Face ID with gesture-based control system and new A12 processor. The OLED iPhone are expected to come with up to 512GB storage and with dual 12-megapixel rear cameras with OIS, while the LCD iPhone is said to feature a single rear camera. The 6.1-inch and 6.5-inch iPhone variants are expected come in both single and dual-SIMs (for select markets like China). The entry-level model is said to start at $699 and the top-end OLED model could cost $999. Apple is expected to stick to Intel Modems globally, as hinted by Qualcomm earlier. Honor Magic 2 with bezel-less display, slide-out design, Kirin 980, 40W super fast charge coming soon

Huawei's Honor brand along with the global launch of the Honor Play, teased the upcoming Honor Magic 2 smartphone, successor of the Honor Magic which was introduced back in 2016. The successor will feature a full-screen display with ultra narrow bezels. For this, the company has adopted a slide-out design, which it calls Magic Slide full screen with high screen-to-body ratio. It will be powered by Kirin 980 AI chip, which will be officially introduced by Huawei at its IFA keynote tomorrow. It is expected to based on TSMC’s 7nm manufacturing process that promises to improves processor speed by approximately 20% and consumes approximately 40% less power compared to its 10nm counterpart. It will support 40W safe super fast charge with 15 layers of safety protection and auto identification of 3 critical parts.
