OPPO A3s with 6.2-inch 19:9 FullView display, dual rear cameras, Android 8.1, 4230mAh battery launched in India for Rs. 10990

OPPO has launched A3s, a re-branded version of the  A5 smartphone that was introduced in China last week. It has a 6.2-inch HD+ 19:9 aspect ratio display with a notch and  87.8% screen-to-body ratio, is powered by Snapdragon 450 with 2GB of RAM and runs ColorOS 5.1 based on Android 8.1 (Oreo). It has a 13-megapixel rear camera along with a secondary 2-megapixel camera for portrait shots and an 8-megapixel front camera with AI beautify features that intelligently recognizes 296 facial features. It has dedicated dual SIM and microSD card slots and packs a huge 4230mAh battery that promises 14 hours of video playback and 11 hours of gaming. It comes only in 2GB RAM with 16GB storage version, unlike  the A5 that comes in 4GB RAM with 64GB storage version. AXUM Gear Bluetooth Earbuds Review

AxumGear, a Los Angeles-based company introduced its Bluetooth Earbuds back in August 2016 and raised $138,209 till October from 824 backers, but it dropped that design and introduced V2 in July 2017. It kept updating the backers frequently and finally started shipping the earbuds starting from February 2018. It has shipped to all the backers and has also shipped two batches that were ordered on its website, and for the third batch which is shipping next month, the company has redesigned it to include USB Type-C and has also improved the Bluetooth. The company says that it is the world's best workout earbuds that will never fall. I have been using it for a couple of months. Is this worth the price? Let us find out in the review. Samsung Galaxy J6+ with 5.6-inch Infinity display, Snapdragon 450, dual-rear cameras, 4350mAh battery surfaces

Samsung recently launched the A6, A6+, and the Galaxy J8 in India and later it re-branded the Galaxy J6 as the Samsung Galaxy On6. Now the company is said to be working on the Galaxy J6+ model with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 system-on-chip and this could come as the Galaxy On6+ in India. The Samsung Galaxy J6+ comes with the model name “j6plte,” and was first discovered by the XDA and the firmware files for the “j6plte” correspond to a model named “Samsung J6-Plus LTE CIS SER.” According to the leaked data, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy J6+ is said to sport the same 5.6-inches (1480×720) HD+ SUPER AMOLED display with an 18.5:9 aspect ratio. It will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450. In terms of camera, it will have dual-rear cameras on the back and a single front selfie shooter. The phone is said to pack a massive 4,350mAh battery, but then it is a speculation at the moment. The phone will have a TFA9896 Audio Amp, a fingerprint sensor, and NFC. However, there is no launch time-frame yet, so we will have to wait for Samsung to start teasing the launch. Mozilla announces first Firefox Mobile Test Pilot – Notes for Android, Lockbox password manager for iOS

Mozilla today has announced the first Firefox mobile test pilot for mobile devices. The company is taking these steps toward bringing Mozilla’s mission of privacy, security, and control to mobile apps beyond the browser. The two apps it is introducing are the lockbox password manager for iOS and Note app.  The Lockbox iOS app will let users access Firefox saved passwords seamlessly. This lets you use any password you’ve saved in the browser to log into any online account including your Twitter or Instagram app. You don't have to open the web page to access. It is a simple, secure place to take and store notes across your devices, desktop, and mobile. It also allows Firefox account users to sync notes from any Firefox browser on any Android smartphone or tablet. The company says that all the files are encrypted from end-to-end. The test pilot is open to all Firefox users and to activate the new Lockbox and Notes extensions; you must have a Firefox Account and Firefox Sync for full functionality. Apple with ten initial suppliers to invest $300 million into the China Clean Energy fund

Apple today announced an investment fund list that it is planning in China to connect suppliers with renewable energy sources. This as a part of Apple's commitment to address climate change and increase the use of renewable energy within its supply chain. Along with 10 initial suppliers, Apple will jointly invest nearly $300 million over the next four years into the China Clean Energy Fund. The funding will invest in the development of clean energy projects totaling more than 1 gigawatt of renewable energy in China, the equivalent of powering nearly 1 million homes. Since the transition to clean energy can be complex especially for smaller companies as that may not have access to viable clean energy sources, the China Clean Energy Fund will give its participants the advantage of greater purchasing power and the ability to attain more attractive and diverse clean energy solutions. The China Clean Energy Fund will be managed through a third-party, DWS Group, which specializes in sustainable investments and will also invest in the fund. Vivo NEX S with 6.59-inch FHD+ display, Snapdragon 845, 8GB RAM, in-display fingerprint sensor price surfaces ahead of India launch on July 19

Vivo introduced its NEX series smartphones – NEX S and NEX A in China last month, and the company already sent out invites for the launch of the smartphone in India on July 19th.  Now the price of the NEX S, the top-end version of the smartphone has accidentally been revealed through Amazon Prime Day promo. The image doesn't reveal the full price, but the source code shows that it will cost that it will start at Rs. 48,990, almost same as the price in China. WhatsApp beta for Android hints at Mark as read and Mute shortcuts in notification center

WhatsApp is rolling out a new beta update for Android which hints at a feature that the company is working on. The app might soon get a new 'mark as read' shortcut in notification center, however, it is not available yet since it still under development. Whenever you get a new WhatsApp message, you just see 'reply' shortcut currently, but WhatsApp is working on a new shortcut to include in your Notification Center. When you receive some messages from your contacts, you will see the 'Mark as Read' shortcut and, as the name suggests, it allows to quickly mark the message as read directly from your notification center. This new button will join the 'reply' button and be clear, this feature is currently not available. The company will also bring a new mute button in the Notification Center. Twitter is finally rolling out a new bottom navigation bar for Android much like how it is for iOS. This makes it easier for navigation while browsing through the latest tweets.
