Intex today launched INFIE 3, the company's first Android Oreo (Go edition) smartphone and INFIE 33 smartphone. Both these have a 18:9 aspect ratio 2.5D curved glass displays and support for Face unlock as well as face beauty. Both the have a 5-megapixel rear camera as well as a front camera with LED flash. These come with SwiftKey, Gaana and other apps. OPPO Find X with 6.42-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, Snapdragon 845, 8GB RAM, 3D face unlock launched in India for Rs. 59990

OPPO has launched its flagship Find X smartphone at an event in India, as it had promised. It has a 6.42-inch Full HD+ AMOLED Panoramic Arc Screen with 19:5:9 aspect ratio and 93.8% screen-to-body ratio, is powered by Snapdragon 845 with 8GB of RAM and runs Android 8.1 (Oreo) with ColorOS 5.1 on top. It has a motorized sliding dual rear cameras with a 16-megapixel primary and a 20-megapixel secondary camera set up with LED flash, OIS, AI portraits and AI Scene Recognition technology that can identify 800 scenes. The company says that the sliding mechanism has been tested over 300,000 times for durability. It has 3D face unlock, which it calls O-Face Recognition. This uses 3D Structured Light Technology which scans 15,000 facial points. It is 20 times safer than fingerprint recognition for unlocking the phone, says OPPO.  It has a 25-megapixel front camera with AI that intelligently analyzes features such as face, nose, and eyes, etc. to naturally personalize selfies. PUBG mobile beta version for Android released on the Play Store

PUBG is consistently releasing a fresh new update since it launched back in March. In May it rolled out the much talked 0.5.0 update and in June it released the 0.6.0 which is currently the stable release. Though it tests the upcoming stable release before it rolls out, the beta of the game is not so easy to find for everyone who might be interested. To make the process easy, Tencent Games released the PUBG mobile beta on the Play Store.  The upcoming update as you can expect is the 0.7.0 with features like War Mode, new weapon and more. According to the Play Store listing, features in the upcoming update include Arcade Mode - War, a new, faster-paced variation of Arcade mode, added the SLR Sniper Rifle, portable closet, and players can now put outfits in their Portable Closets and instantly change clothes during combat. Since this is a beta release that is meant for testing purposes, you cannot sign in with your regular account. You will have to create a new character with the guest option in order to play. Sirin Labs Finney Dual-screen Blockchain smartphone with Snapdragon 845, SIRIN OS will be available in November

Sirin Labs, the Switzerland-based company that has a history of raising fourth largest crowdsale in history;  $157.8M, recently unveiled the final design of the FINNEY which is the first ever blockchain smartphone. Sony Xperia XZ3 with dual front and rear cameras said to launch at IFA 2018

Sony is said to be working on a flagship despite the fact that it launched a flagship just two months ago. The company's upcoming phone is said to be coming during the IFA 2018 event. Though we don't really know much about the flagships, the first-hand information suggests that it will come with four cameras: two on the back, and another two in the front. The company recently launched the Xperia XZ2 Premium with dual-rear cameras and it looks the company is ready to embrace the dual-camera bandwagon. It is possible that the company might maintain the same design when it comes to this specific feature. The two camera modules that are reported to belong to the upcoming flagship; Xperia XZ3 have just been leaked online, then again that doesn't really guarantee that they will make it in the final version of the smartphone. It is said feature 16 MP + 2 MP dual rear cameras and 13MP + 2MP dual front cameras, powered by the Snapdragon 845, bezel-less design, 6GB RAM and 64GB / 128GB storage. Twitter to remove locked accounts from followers list

Twitter in its ongoing fight against fake accounts today has announced that starting this week it will be removing the locked accounts from follower counts across profiles globally and as a result of this, the number of followers displayed on many profiles may go down. Twitter started locking accounts when it detected sudden changes in account behavior. The company will reach out to owners of the account to validate the account and reset their passwords and until and unless they validate the account. Though the number in the follower's count might decrease significantly, Twitter says that it is doing this to bring accuracy and transparency. The change will start happening in the next few days, and follower counts may continue to change more regularly as a part of the company's ongoing work to proactively identify and challenge problematic accounts. Twitter says that if it detects sudden changes in account behavior, it will lock the account and contact the owner to confirm they still have control of it. As for the daily and monthly active users, Twitter says that the locked accounts that have not reset their password in more than one month are not included in MAU or DAU and today’s change doesn’t affect MAU or DAU. ...

Apple will launch 11-inch iPad Pro, refreshed Mac mini, Apple watch with larger display, AirPower charger in fall: Kuo

Ming-Chi Kuo of TF International Securities is back with yet another new investor's note and this time according to the analyst, Apple is said to be working on launching 11-inch iPad Pro, refreshed Mac mini, Apple watch with large display, Airpower in fall. The newly updated portfolio will join the three iPhone models; 5.8″ OLED model, a new 6.5″ OLED model, and a new 6.1″ LCD variant.  The updated iPad Pro model will come with Face ID, no home button and Apple seems to be working on two variants; one with 11 and 12.9-inch displays with a full-screen design similar to the iPhone X. Though Kuo didn't say much about the Mac mini update, he said that there will be a processor upgrade and this is coming three and a half years since the last Mac mini update. It is also unclear if the Mac mini would see a design change. Both the MacBook and MacBook Pro will see processor upgrades and it is already known that Apple is working on a new low-priced notebook. Telecom Commission approves new net neutrality recommendations proposed by TRAI

Indian Telecom Commission, decision-making body in the telecom ministry has approved net neutrality recommendations proposed by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI). These rules restrict telecom operators from discriminating against Internet content and services or grant higher speed for those who pay a premium. However, certain mission-critical applications or services like remote surgery and autonomous cars will be kept out of the purview of net neutrality framework. Telecom Secretary Aruna Sundararajan in a statement said: "The Telecom Commission (TC) today approved net neutrality as recommended by TRAI expect some critical services will be kept out of its purview." TRAI earlier backed principles of a free and open Internet by recommending restrictions on service providers from putting discrimination on the Internet. TRAI, however, had kept 'content delivery networks' out of net neutrality and allowed fast lanes for special services that DoT should define, and permit telecom operators to use traffic management practices to maintain the quality of service. Sundararajan further said that the Telecom Commission has also approved the new telecom policy; the National Digital Communications Policy 2018 and this will be taken to the Union Cabinet for the final approval. Xiaomi schedules global launch event in Spain on July 24, Mi A2 Android One smartphone expected

After launching the global Mi Explorer program to offer its fans a chance to travel to Spain, Xiaomi has officially scheduled its global launch event in Spain, Madrid on July 24, where it is expected to introduce the Mi A2, the global version of the Mi 6X which was introduced  back in April. According to a recently-leaked video, which was removed later, the phone is said to have similar specifications as the Mi 6X, but will come with a 3.5mm audio jack. However it is not clear if the smartphone will feature a microSD card slot which the Mi 6X doesn't have.
