BlackBerry ‘Ghost’ with bezel-less display, dual rear cameras said to launch in India in Q3 2018 [Update: 4000mAh battery]

The phone is said to feature dual rear cameras with optical zoom, and low-light enhancement powered by dual rear cameras. A new BlackBerry smartphone code-named 'Ghost' has surfaced online, thanks to @evleaks who also says that the Android smartphone will have a bezel-less display and will be a premium smartphone. The image shows a sleek smartphone with a metal frame, cured corners, SIM slot and antenna cutouts present on the side. It also shows a front-facing camera and an earpiece above the display. Apple might phase out Intel’s 5G modem for 2020 iPhones

According to latest report, Intel wont be providing 5G modems for Apple’s 2020 mobile devices. The Cuppertino company has even notified Intel that it would not use its modem in its next-generation mobile device. Furthermore, the development of the model, internally codenamed "Sunny Peak” has been halted and the Intel team that's working on the product will be redirected to other efforts. Intel in its communications described Apple as the “key mobile customer” for the developed 5G mobile modem. It even expected Apple to be the “main volume driver” for the product. To clarify, Sunny Peak is a 5G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth component designed by Intel for Apple’s upcoming iPhones. Intel executives in the communication stated that Apple is putting “a massive effort” to launch 5G in their mobile products. Speculation for not bundling Intel 5G could be dependent on various reasons, said Intel executives. The introduction of a new Wi-Fi standard called WiGig (802.11ad) “into any mobile product brings new and unanticipated challenges. Apple iPhone 2018 models to come in Gold, Red, Blue, Orange, Black, White and Grey colors: KGI

Dell Alienware 15 and 17 gaming laptops with 8th Gen Intel Core processors, G3 and G7 laptops launched in India

Dell today has launched the Alienware 15 and 17, Dell G Series - G3 and G7 and Inspiron 24 5000 All-in-One in India. The Alienware gaming laptops are powered up to Intel Core i9 processor with up to 6-cores. Dell G-series laptops include G3 15 and Dell G7 15. The Dell Alienware are available in variants ranging from 8th Gen Intel Core i5, i7, to the latest i9 processors with up to 6-cores. The company says that it has mechanically engineered the Alienware Cryo-Tech v2.0, which is its cooling system with 50% thinner fan blades, a vapor chamber on the CPU to cool down the higher number of cores more efficiently. It also gets support for external desktop graphics via the Alienware Graphics Amplifier, optional 120Hz TN+WVA 400-nits display designed with Nvidia Gsync. New Xiaomi Mi Wireless Charger gets certified by the WPC, could be introduced along with Mi MIX 3

Xiaomi introduced 7.5W Qi wireless fast charger along with the Mi MIX 2S earlier this year, now a new Mi Wireless Charger (WPC01ZM) has been certified by the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC). This reveals that it will be a 5W charger and has the Qi version number v1.2.4. It shows a metal-like finish and a LED notification light. Compared to the white colored charger that came with the Mi MIX 2S, this has a black color. The charger is expected to be introduced along with the Mi MIX 3 which is rumored to go official sometime in August, with a pop-up front camera, which was seen in the latest Vivo's flasgship - NEX. Samsung and ARM partner to power 3GHz+ Cortex A76 processors based on 7nm LPP process technology

Samsung Electronics today announced that it is expanding its strategic collaboration with Arm to 7/5-nanometer (nm) FinFET process technology with an aim to remain a step ahead in the era of high-performance computing. The ARM Artisan physical IP platform which is based on the Samsung Foundry’s 7LPP (7nm Low Power Plus) and 5LPE (5nm Low Power Early) process technologies, will enable 3GHz+ computing performance for Arm’s Cortex-A76 processor. The company says that its 7LPP process technology will be ready for its initial production in the second half of 2018. Furthermore, the first extreme ultraviolet (EUV) lithography process technology and its key IPs are in development and expected to be completed by the first half of 2019. The 5LPE technology will allow greater area scaling and ultra-low power benefits, thanks to the innovations in 7LPP process technology. The Arm Artisan physical IP platform for Samsung’s 7LPP and 5LPE includes HD logic architecture, 1.8V and 3.3V GPIO libraries. The ARM will also provide Artisan POP IP solutions on its latest processor cores featuring Arm DynamIQ technology.
