Google removes the ability to book Uber cabs within Maps

For reasons unknown, Google has removed the Uber integration within the Google Maps app. Google added the ability to book Uber cab within Maps back in January 2017; this functionality allowed users to identify their route, then check Uber prices and request a ride without leaving the Maps app. With this integration, users had the option to avoid installing Uber app since Maps app offers a way to book the cab, so it is safe to say Uber, rather than Google, might be behind the decision to block Maps integration. We haven't seen any confirmation or announcement about this move either from Google nor from Uber. Uber integration within Maps was pulled from Google Maps for iOS back in August last year, but Android never lost the support until February as well. Xiaomi has introduced Mi Router 4Q, the company's latest budget router and the successor of Mi Router 3C that was launched in India last year.  It is a 802.11 b/g/n single-band router, same as the 3C, but this has 3 omni-directional antennas, and supports up to 450Mbps transmission speed, thanks to 3X3 MIMO and Qualcomm QCA9561 processor. It also has LED indicator and new MiNET button on the top that offers on-touch MIOT WiFi connection without password, and it is integrated into Mi smart home platform. Paytm Inbox now offers Live TV, News, Cricket, Games and more

Paytm in-app messaging service Inbox has gained a bunch of new features; this update will bring access to content across categories such as Live TV, News, Cricket, Entertainment Videos, and Games on the go, for free. Paytm says that following the positive response on beta testing, it is now rolling out the full-stack service under Paytm Inbox on its app. The company has partnered with several content providers to ensure the best of infotainment is delivered to users directly in their Paytm Inbox. It now offers News, TV, access to games, and videos as well. Paytm now offers TV from various sources like Aaj Tak, India Today, Mirror Now, Zoom, ET Now. It also offers games in Action, Sports, Adventure, and strategy genres. The company claims to have more than 120 Mn monthly active users and expects strong growth after the addition of these new features.  The update is going live for iOS users this week, Android users will get the update in the coming week. OnePlus 6 OxygenOS 5.1.8 update starts rolling out in India

OnePlus rolled out OxygenOS 5.1.6 with several new features including portrait mode support for the front camera, battery percentage in the status bar, Idea VoLTE support in India Dual-4G network option and more last week. It rolled out OxygenOS 5.1.7 update a few days back that brought few more features, but the company said that the OxygenOS 5.1.6 update for India had stability issues. Google today has announced a new strategic partnership with JD.com; Chinese leading e-commerce companies. As part of this partnership, Google will be investing $550 million in JD.com with an aim to accelerate how retail ecosystems deliver consumer experiences that are helpful, personalized and offer high-quality service in a range of countries around the world, including in Southeast Asia. LG’s first Android One phone with 5.5-inch FHD+ display, Android 8.1, Hi-Fi Quad DAC surfaces

Google's Android One program piloted back in 2014 but hasn't seen the hype which the company hoped for. Now it seems like LG is prepping its own first Android One smartphone that might be exclusive to T-Mobile in the U.S. The device is code-named “cv5a” with the carrier “tmo,” country code “us.” Evidence also showcases "sprout” codename which is usually used to signify an Android One device. However, the "sprout" codename isn't present on the other regional models such as the one for NTT DoCoMo in Japan (dcm_jp), South Korea (lgu_kr, skt_kr, lgu_ldu), or the international variant (lao_com). As for the rumored specifications, LG's first Android One phone will be modern; it is expected to sport a 5.5-inch FHD+ (1080×2160) display with 18:9 aspect ratio and will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 32-bit Octa-Core SoC. It will most likely have 2-3GB RAM with 32/64GB storage options. Details regarding the camera optics remain a mystery for now. It will have a HiFi ES9218P audio DAC that is used in the LG V30.
