Microsoft’s AI makes Windows 10 updates smoother

Microsoft today announced that it uses its AI to detect which Windows 10 devices should get an update first. AI is becoming so common these days that brands are using the technology to make things easier for users, but it is slowly becoming boring at the same time as it eliminates the use of the creative side of the user.  The company says that it is seeing higher satisfaction numbers, fewer known issues, and lower support call volumes compared to previous Windows 10 releases. Microsoft started a pilot of this program during last Fall's Creator's Update roll out; the company has gathered types of Windows 10 devices that had good update experiences and then trained its AI model to recognise those types of devices and target them for earlier updates. This not only improves the upgrade experience but AI also allows the updates to go faster. It also added that the April 2018 Update is officially the fastest version of Windows 10 to reach 250 million devices. This method also collects for any feedback or telemetry data and indicate if there might be any issues so that Microsoft can quickly adjust and prevent affected devices from being offered the update until we thoroughly investigate.  An ...

Honor V12 with dual rear cameras passes through the FCC, gets certified on TENAA

Huawei’s Honor brand  announced its flagship Honor V10 smartphone in China back in November last year, now the Honor V12 has passed the the FCC and has also been certified by TENAA. However this is listed as X-Honor V12 and there is also a branding on the back of the phone, which could be a new series. The TENAA listing reveals a 5.5-inch screen without a notch, but the resolution has not been mentioned. It also reveals a 147.8x78.2x8.6mm and a weird 1900mAh battery, which could be a mistake. The image confirms a metal body with antenna lines running on the top and the bottom parts of the back, dual rear cameras, front camera with flash and a 3.5mm audio jack on the bottom. The phone is seen in golden color, but it might also come in additional colors. We should know more details about the smartphone in coming weeks. Source 1, 2 | Via

Instagram will no longer notify about screenshot alerts for stories

Back in February Instagram started testing screenshot alerts for stories and months after its functioning, the company seems to have put an end to it. Instagram has confirmed the same by saying that it is no longer testing a feature that would let people see when someone took a screenshot of their story. This is an incredible news for those who are into the screenshot business, but no so much for those who wish to keep an eye on all creepers. The screenshot alerts would show users when someone takes a screenshot of their story. However, since it was in testing phase, it was only limited to selected users. This move is unlike Snapchat who famously tells users if their content has been screenshot. You can still see who viewed your story on Instagram by swiping up. Source
