Xiaomi launches Mi Rollerball Pen, Travel U-shaped Pillow, I Love Mi T-shirt and Mi Band Charger in India starting at Rs. 129

Xiaomi today has launched the Mi Rollerball Pen, Mi Travel U-shaped Pillow, I Love Mi T-shirt and Mi Band 2 Charge Cable in India. These new products will expand the Mi Eco-system products in India.  The Xiaomi's i Rollerball Pen comes in an aluminum body. The pen has a premium feel to it and makes for an excellent gift as well. The Xiaomi's Mi Travel U-shaped Pillow made with a combination of cotton and natural latex is the perfect travel buddy. Another addition to the list is the Mi I Love Mi T-Shirt; it is created for Mi Fans is made out of soft, blended fabric which offers comfort all day long. Last in the list is the Mi Band 2 Charge Cable; it can be used for charging Mi Band 2 and Mi Band- HRX Edition. The Mi Rollerball Pen will be available for Rs. 179, the Mi Travel U-shaped Pillow will be available in two colors; Grey and Beige and is priced at of Rs.999. The T-shirt with minimalistic design will be available in three basic colors; Grey, Black, and White. It will be available for Rs. 399. The Mi band 2 charger cable will be available for Rs. 129. All these products will be available starting today midnight on Mi.com.

Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 update brings VoLTE support for Vodafone, Airtel and Idea, front camera improvements and more

Asus rolled out first update for the Zenfone Max Pro last month, ahead of the sale that brought Face unlock and several improvement along with Android security patch for April, 2018. Today the company has started rolling out a new update that brings VoLTE support for Vodafone, Airtel and Idea (In circles where it's available), in addition to Reliance Jio. In addition the update also adds Android security patch for May, 2018 along with fingerprint sensor and front camera improvements. Check out the complete changelog below. Dell has launched its new range of OptiPlex commercial All-in-Ones (AIO), mini tower, and micro desktops in India. The OptiPlex 7760 sports a 27-inch InfinityEdge display, while the OptiPlex 7460 packs a 23.8-inch InfinityEdge display. The Dell OptiPlex 7760 All-in-One (AIO) desktop computer sports a 27-inch InfinityEdge display with an optional glare-free 4K Ultra HD with HDR and High-Gamut sRGB or Full HD IPS with touch display, powered by the Intel’s 8th generation core processor, Intel HD Graphics 630, and an optional Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 graphics card, up to 32GB DDR4 Memory, up to 512GB SATA Class 20 Self Encrypting SSD. Samsung Gear S4 could pack a bigger battery, might be announced alongside Galaxy Note9 in August

Samsung is expected to introduce its flagship Galaxy Note9 smartphone in August, now a new rumor from Korea says that the Gear S4 smartwatch will be introduced along with it. Another rumor from China says that it will come with a 470mAh battery compared to 380mAh in the predecessor. Even though it was expected that Samsung's next smartwatch will use Wear OS, it will likely stick with Tizen OS. Latest report from Korea also says that Samsung will be using Panel Level Packaging (PLP) to build the application processor (AP) for the Gear S4 that makes it more efficient wafer-level packages (WLPs). This will make the smartwatch thinner. The Gear S4 Classic is also expected to come in new Gold color, in addition to Silver and Black and there will also be a Gear S4 Frontier model, similar to the Gear S3. Verizon and Nokia announce the completion of first 3GPP New Radio technology

Verizon and Nokia today mentioned a major milestone on the road to commercial 5G deployment as the companies announced the successful completion of a series of data sessions over the 3GPP New Radio 5G standard outdoors. They were also successful in multi-carrier aggregation to boost those signals into Gbps range. Back in February, the two companies, along with Qualcomm, completed the first-ever 3GPP NR data connection in a lab. The latest tests took place on Verizon’s campus in Basking Ridge, NJ. Both the companies have worked together to transmit multiple live interactive virtual reality (VR) sessions and simultaneous 4k streaming video on Verizon’s 28 GHz millimeter wave spectrum with latencies of 1.5 milliseconds. Furthermore, Verizon and Nokia successfully used 4CC (component carrier aggregation) to achieve a throughput speed of up to 1.8 Gbps. Combining Verizon’s mmWave spectrum assets and the ability to transmit on multiple carriers in an outdoor setting mirrors how 5G will ultimately be deployed and used by consumers and businesses. Microsoft today announced new changes to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook and these changes are exclusive to Office.com and Office 365. Samsung patents hint at possible Bixby smart speaker with touchscreen display, camera for facial recognition and more

Samsung already announced its plans of launching a Bixby-powered smart speaker in the second half of 2018. Though the company didn't offer any other details, a new patent from Samsung offers some interesting hints about the upcoming Bixby speaker. Interestingly, Samsung has filed the patent application back in November 2017 and has published in the WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organisation) database a couple of weeks back. According to the patent diagrams, the said Bixby speaker sports a small robot-like design with a rotating head that turns towards the user issuing the commands. Interestingly, the upper portion of the device features a camera for facial recognition and will have seven microphones for accurate speech recognition, and a touchscreen display for showing content. Furthermore, the speaker is also said to support LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, GPS, and possible USB and HDMI ports. It will feature common features like playing media, sending and receiving data from smart home devices, making calls, controlling IoT devices, etc. However, since there are just patent drawings, there's no way to tell if the said features would make it to the upcoming Bixby speaker.
