Motorola just announced the Moto Z3 Play, the company's latest mid-range smartphone in the Moto Z series with support for Moto Mods, as expected. It has a 6-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display, is powered by Snapdragon 636 SoC with 4GB of RAM, has 12-megapixel rear camera along with a secondary 5-megapixel camera for depth-sensing AI photo features, including Cinemagraphs and support for Google Lens. It has Corning Gorilla Glass protection on the front and back and lightweight, aircraft-grade 6000 series aluminum frame. It has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for the first time. It gesture-based One Button Nav bar at the bottom, even though it doesn't have a fingerprint sensor below the screen. Microsoft introduces Windows Collaboration Displays cheaper than Surface Hubs

Microsoft at the Computex event in Japan has introduced a new category of teamwork devices; the Windows Collaboration Displays. The main goal of these devices is to allow people to experience Microsoft 365 collaboration tools like Office, Teams, and Whiteboard at room scale, and include built-in sensors that can connect to Azure IoT spatial intelligence capabilities. The company is also announcing  Windows 10 IoT Core Services and this service offering enables partners to commercialize a secure Internet of Things (IoT)-device backed by industry-leading support. It provides device makers the ability to manage updates for the OS, apps, settings and OEM-specific files, and is backed by 10 years of support. The displays in collaboration with Sharp and Avocor will be available later this year. The company in association with HP has introduced the brand-new HP ProBook x360 440 aimed at growing businesses and professionals on-the-go. It comes with Built-in security from HP BIOSphere Gen4, a firmware ecosystem that automates the protection of the BIOS, coupled with Microsoft 365 and an infrared sensor supporting Windows Hello face authentication, provides incredibly strong protection. Instagram said to allow users to post hour long videos soon

Instagram might be planning on introducing an ability to allow users to post hour long videos soon and way off video length constraints. This would open to new possibilities and creative flexibility. This also brings Instagram closer to YouTube and its own parent company, Facebook.  Since the plan in under tentative tag,  Instagram could change its course and decide not to introduce such feature on its platform. Interestingly, the new feature will also focus on vertical video similar to Instagram stories video format. However, it is not clear if Instagram would allow longer videos only in stories section of the app or also permitted in the main feed. Currently, Instagram allows a length of 15 seconds videos in the main feed  60 seconds in Stories. There is no timeline or timeframe as to when this feature will be rolling out, but with Instagram pushing out features in regular intervals these days, we wouldn't be surprised to see if the feature drops in all of the sudden. Honor Clear Headphones is the first wired headphones with real-time heart rate detection

Along with the Honor Play and the new Honor 9i smartphones, the company also introduced new Clear Headphones, which is the world's first headphones to feature sensors for real-time heart-rate detection. It also trains you to relax by analysing your stress level by heart rate variability (HRV) algorithm and provides feedback. It it is certified for Hi-Res audio playback. The real-time heart rate detection is done using the optical heart rate monitor located on the right earbud. The company says that heart rate monitoring should work with Huawei and Honor smartphones as well as any Android smartphone with the Huawei Health app. The heart rate index which is developed with the institute of Psychology, Chinese Academy of Sciences to quickly access the users' psychological stress level and output the corresponding heart rate index. The earbuds are made of soft, skin-friendly material offering all-day comfort, and it comes with ear fins and eartips in three different sizes. It has a MEMS microphone and in-line music and volume controls. Airtel will deploy 5000 new mobile sites, 500 kms of additional optic fiber in FY 2018-19 in Kerala

Airtel today announced that it will continue to make significant investments to further expand its operations and network footprint across Kerala as a part of its ongoing network expansion program Project Leap. Airtel plans to roll out 5,000 new mobile sites across Kerala in FY 2018-19 to add large network capacity and take high speed data services deeper into rural areas. This effectively translates to 1 new Airtel mobile site going live every two hours across the state. With this planned rollout, the number of Airtel’s mobile sites across Kerala will go up by 30% to 22,000 and add to the network experience for customers. Airtel also plans to rollout 500 kms of fresh optic fiber across the state to take its fiber footprint to 6,000 kms. The addition of fresh fiber capacity will support the growth of high speed data services in the state. Airtel was the first operator to launch 4G services in Kerala. After Honor 7X, Honor 9 Lite is now begin manufactured in Tamil Nadu

Huawei’s Honor brand back in February started manufacturing the Honor 7X in Tamil Nadu, India in partnership with Flex at its plant in Sriperumbudur, near Chennai. Today the company announced that now started manufacturing Honor 9 Lite locally in India in the same plant, as a commitment to ‘Make in India’ initiative. Today at an event in China the company said that its top-end and some of the mid-range smartphones, including the Honor 9 Lite will get a new GPU Turbo technology to boost the phone's performance, especially when gaming. HTC has launched Desire 12 and Desire 12+ smartphones in the Desire series. These were announced back in March and have 5.5-inch and 6-inch HD+ full-screen displays, and the similarity ends there.
