Samsung launched the new A6 and A6+ smartphones in the Galaxy A series  in India last month. We unboxed the Galaxy A6+, the top-end smartphone in the series recently. Google app v8.6 hints at Assistant contacts, updated material design theme and more

Google has rolled out a fresh new update to its Google app which brings the version number to v8.6. The new update brings more references to 'Your People screen' and Google Assistant for Households by adding personal details to contacts and it will also have an option to enable or disable Assistant on the Pixel Buds while your phone's lockscreen is active Not the biggest visual change but, Google app update brings a better-looking keyboard icon on the Assistant popup page. Both the keyboard icons and Lens icons are also a bit darker now. Now to the content that is lying underneath, last month a new 'Your People' screen appeared in the Google Assistant settings. This list is of people known by Assistant that had some sort of relationship with you. However, this screen isn't fully functional yet, as it might be under works. However, it adds more context to what it will be able to show.  Next up is the  Google Assistant for Households feature, this addition shows that the people you're living with will be attributed a birthday and phone number, plus their relationship to you. Samsung Galaxy S10 said to feature triple rear cameras and 3D sensor

Triple rear cameras are slowly becoming the trend, thanks to Huawei's P20 Pro and the rumored upcoming iPhone X variant with a triple rear cameras that is said to launch in 2019. Now Samsung is said to be jumping into the triple-rear cameras bandwagon. According to market analysts, Samsung's upcoming flagship Galaxy S10 is expected to come with three rear-facing cameras as well as a 3D sensor.  Triple rear cameras will allow users to take sharp and crispier photos and Huawei has used Leica lens to fine tune the triple rear cameras. Apple is also said to be planning on a premium flagship for 2019 which is reportedly named as the iPhone X Plus and is anticipated to come with three camera lenses on the rear. With triple rear cameras on a Samsung phone, the company's component business affiliates including Samsung Electro-Mechanics will be getting away with handsome profits. However, not much is known in terms of the specifications of the camera as well as the other hardware details of the flagship. Motorola just launched its Moto G6 smartphone,  successor of last year's Moto G5  in India. This time the company has gone with a glass back and dual rear cameras for the G6. Instagram News Feed uses machine learning to create unique feed for everyone

Instagram ditched the reverse chronological feed for an algorithm in July 2016 and today the company has showcased a new feed ranking algorithm. The company will use machine learning to create a unique feed for everyone. Since it is focused on machine learning, even if you follow exact same accounts as someone else, your feed will be unique and depend on how you interact with those accounts. Instagram details Interest, Recency, Relationship as three main factors that determine what you see on your Instagram feed. Instagram Interest factor predicts what you’ll care about a post, it determines by past behavior on similar content and potentially analyzing the actual content of the post. The algorithm determines how recently the post was shared. It also uses how close you are to the person who shared it, with the higher ranking for people you’ve interacted with a lot in the past on Instagram such as commenting, liking and more. Beyond these three core factors, frequency, following, usage are other important factors. Frequency determines how often you open Instagram and if you follow a lot of people. Here’s what to expect from Apple at WWDC 2018

Apple will kickstart the WWDC event later today where the company will introduce the next major upgrades to iOS, macOS, WatchOS, tvOS, and many other hardware products like the AirPods, AirPower, and if everything falls into place, we might see the iPhone SE 2. In this article lets run down things and see what to expect from Apple at WWDC 2018. First major announcement to come out at the WWDC event is iOS 12. Apple has been pushing out updates at a rapid pace since iOS 11.3 till the 11.4 beta 1. Though the updates don't bring very much to the table, the company has been fixing bugs and fine-tuning the iOS 11 which has been nothing but a bugs house since the day it was introduced. Sadly though, iOS 12 won't bring any major changes to the platform, instead, it will focus more on stability and performance improvements which aren't a bad thing. Google said to be working on mid-range Pixel smartphone with Snapdragon 710

Google usually launches Pixel phones in October, and this year too we will see new Pixel branded phones dubbed Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. Surprinsgly, according to Roland Quandt‏, Google is said to be working on a mid-range Pixel phone that it will launch in May of 2019 and it will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710. Off to Taiwan for @computex_taipei today, but here's a tidbit for ya: Google is working on a "mobile" device based on the Snapdragon 710 currently scheduled for launch in the 1st half of 2019.
