OnePlus 5 and 5T OxygenOS beta update brings new features, improves battery on standby

OnePlus has released new beta updates (Beta 11 for the OnePlus 5 and Open Beta 9 for OnePlus 5T) for the OnePlus 5 and 5T smartphones that brings several new features including option to disable peek notifications for DND and reading mode, advanced battery optimization in standby, new features for OnePlus Switch app and ability for File manager to manage Parallel Apps files. Netgear Nighthawk Pro XR500 gaming WiFi router launched in India

Netgear today has launched the Nighthawk Pro XR500 gaming WiFi router in India. The router was initially announced at the CES 2018 back in January. According to the company, it leverages the software optimize network connections by stabilizing the ping, reducing lag spikes and keeps users always on. Netgear has partnered with Netduma for the software; the DumaOS includes gaming dashboard, geo filter, Quality of Service (QoS), and Network Monitoring capabilities. With the gaming dashboard, users can view real-time bandwidth utilization by the device, ping delays, all in a single screen. The geo filters help in fixing any gaming lags by limiting distance to the server. The Quality of Service (QoS) enables users to prioritize gaming devices and allocate bandwidth by the device to eliminate lag due to queuing at the ISP network. The router comes with gaming VPN protecting gamer's identity, prevents DDoS attacks, and more. It also features four-port Gigabit switch for wired connection and sports two USB 3.0 ports. PUBG developer sues Epic Games’ Fortnite over copyright infringement in Korea

Korean game developer PUBG Corporation, which is also a subsidiary of Bluehole has announced that it is suing US-based Epic Games' 'Fortnite' over copyright infringement in Korea. It also asked the court to determine whether Fortnite copied from the former's "PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds." It filed an injunction with the Seoul Central District Court against Epic Games Korea. Epic Games Fortnite which was released in July last year is a first-person shooter (FPS) game, that has been gaining a lot of popularity and is also threatening the popularity of PUBG which is already a great hit in the gaming market last year. Though the game was launched with "Save the World" mode where players had to build walls and defended it, in September the company has added the free-to-play "Battle Royale" portion into the game, provoking plagiarism in the gameplay. There are allegations against the game copied "Battlegrounds" items and user interface (UI). Idea expands VoLTE services to 9 more circles, offers 30GB free data

Earlier this month Idea Cellular started commercial roll out of VoLTE services across six circles  – Maharashtra (excluding Mumbai) & Goa, Gujarat, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh & Telangana, and, Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh, after rolling it out to its employees in the first phase. Today it has expanded VoLTE services to 9 more circles - Mumbai, Karnataka, Punjab, Haryana, West Bengal, UP East, UP West, Bihar, Jharkhand and Rajasthan. It is also offering 10 GB of free data to its customers in these circles upon making first VoLTE call, 10GB on giving feedback about the service after four weeks, and another 10GB on giving feedback about the service after eight weeks, making it 30GB in total. With the roll-out of VoLTE, Idea customers will now get benefits like “HD-quality” voice calls, faster call setup times, and, the ability to use 4G data simultaneously while on a voice call. Vistara RADA India’s first Artificial Intelligence (AI) Robot will assist customers at airports

Vistara today has announced that it has created a unique robot 'RADA' that uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology to assist customers, address their queries and entertain them. This unique robot is aimed at offering a seamless experience in guiding customers. The company says that in its initial stage, RADA will be present at the Vistara’s Signature Lounge at the Delhi Airport’s Terminal 3 from July 5, 2018.
