OnePlus 6 Unboxing

OnePlus just announced its flagship OnePlus 6 smartphone at an event in London. It is the successor of the OnePlus 5T that was introduced five months back and has new 19:9 display with narrow bezels while maintaining the same body. OnePlus 6 Hands On and First Impressions

After lots of hype, teasers, and speculations, OnePlus today finally introduced its flagship OnePlus 6 at an event in London. With the change in time and trend, the company also seems to have changed its strategy. The 6th generation OnePlus flagship comes with a trending notch that equips notification LED, front camera, earpiece, and sensors, which is one of the most noticeable changes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nEcdKa5FwDk For the first time, OnePlus has opted for an all-glass build in the Mirror Black version, which has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on both the front and the back of the device. Moreover, there is a slight curve on the back which makes it more comfortable to hold. The OnePlus 6 comes in three colors -- Mirror Black, Midnight Black with matte finish, and limited-edition Silk White. The OnePlus 6 measures 7.5mm in thickness and weigh around 177grams, which is 15grams heavier than 5T. OnePlus at its flagship OnePlus 6 launch event in London introduced its new Bullets Wireless Bluetooth headphones with aptX technology. It has a magnetic design that lets you turn it off just by attaching the headphones together. It has memory alloy body covered in liquid silicone, and has a water-resistant body so that you can use them even in rain. It has a neck-band design with power button on the neck band and has in-line volume, music / call controls. It has a 9.2mm moving coil drivers and energy tubes which promises cleaner, crisper sound across all frequencies. Energy tubes are made of non metallic mineral and silica gel that reduces frequency diffraction and noise generation, resulting in cleaner and richer sound. OnePlus 6 with 6.28-inch FHD+ AMOLED 19:9 display, Snapdragon 845, 8GB RAM, dual rear cameras announced starting at $529

OnePlus just announced its flagship OnePlus 6 smartphone at an event in London, as it had promised. It has a 6.29-inch Optic AMOLED display with a notch, 90% screen-to-body ratio and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. It is powered by Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform with up to 8GB of RAM. It has a 16-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX519 sensor, f/1.7 aperture, OIS as well as EIS. The sensor is 19% bigger compared to the predecessor. It has the same 20-megapixel secondary camera with Sony IMX376K sensor and f/1.7 aperture, same as 5T for portrait shots and 2x zoom. Even the front camera uses the same 16-megapixel sensor with Sony IMX 371 sensor as the 5T. It runs Android 8.1 (Oreo) with OxygenOS 5.1, and the company will get Android P beta starting this week , and the stable version will be available later this year. OnePlus has rolled out new Open Beta update for its OnePlus 5 and 3 series smartphones (Beta 10 for  OnePlus 5, Beta 8 for OnePlus 5T, Beta 36 for  OnePlus 3 and Beta 27 for OnePlus 3T) that brings latest May 2018 Android security patch as well as new offers for Launcher, OnePlus Switch and Group MMS support. Smartisan Nut R1 with 6.17-inch FHD+ display, Snapdragon 845, 8GB RAM, up to 1TB storage announced

Smartisan has announced Nut R1, the company latest flagship smartphone in China, which is the first smartphone in the world to come with 1TB storage. It has a 6.17-inch Full HD+ display with 18:7:9 aspect ratio and 84% screen-to-body ratio, is powered by Snapdragon 845 with up to 8GB RAM and runs on Android-based Smartisan OS 6. It has a 12-megapixel rear camera with OIS along with a 20-megapixel secondary camera to capture depth information for portrait shots, both with Sony sensors and a 24-megapixel front camera with face unlock that can detect 1024 facial points. It has a AI-based virtual ultrasound proximity sensor from Elliptic Labs instead of a standard proximity sensor. It has a fingerprint sensor on the glass back that can unlock the phone in 0.17 seconds and packs a 3600mAh battery with suppport for Qualcomm QuickCharge 4+ fast charging as well 10W Qi wireless charging. HMD Global schedules an event on May 29 in Moscow, Nokia 2, 3 and 5 2018 editions expected

HMD Global has scheduled a press event in Moscow, Russia on May 29th where the company is expected to launch new Nokia phones. The company has started sending out media invites for the launch where the company's CEO Florian Seiche, HMD’s CMO Pekka Rantala and CPO Juho Sarvikas will be present. The invite teaser reads "Dear friends. We invite you to worldwide premiere new Nokia phones." This is interesting considering the company is promoting them as 'world premiere.'  While the exact models and specifications of these phones are unknown, recently three new Nokia phones; TA-1075, TA-1105 & TA-1116  have been certified in Russia, but the names of the phones have not been revealed yet. Nokia's 2018 line-up is already available in Russia except for Nokia 8 Sirocco and Nokia 8110 4G. If anything we might witness the launch of Nokia 2, 3 and 5 2018 editions. Bing will ban Cryptocurrency Ads globally from June

Microsoft's Bing search engine today has announced that it is jumping into the anti-bitcoin bandwagon and has banned Cryptocurrency Ads. Since cryptocurrency and related products are not regulated, it sees them as a possible risk to Bing users with potential for bad actors,  scam consumers. It will be disallowing advertising for the cryptocurrency, related products, and un-regulated binary options. It will be implementing this change to financial product and services policy globally in June, and enforcement rolling out in late June to early July. With this announcement, Bing joins the league with Google, Twitter, and Facebook who have already banned Cryptocurrency Ads. Commenting on the announcement, Bing said: Because cryptocurrency and related products are not regulated, we have found them to present a possible elevated risk to our users with the potential for bad actors to participate in predatory behaviors, or otherwise scam consumers. To help protect our users from this risk, we have made the decision to disallow advertising for cryptocurrency, cryptocurrency related products, and un-regulated binary options. YouTube said to be testing Incognito Mode on its Android app

Incognito Mode in apps lets you use their functionality without being tracked and without your actions being logged into your usage history. It is reported that YouTube is testing incognito mode in its Android app While YouTube already has privacy settings; going into the app settings, then to the history and in the privacy you can toggling on the options to pause watch and search history. You can also sign out and use the app from being tracked. With this new setting, YouTube is aiming to make it easier without tinkering with the settings. Incognito Mode will show up in the account settings page in the top right of the app. Since the feature is testing, for now, you will only see Switch account and Sign out as two different items, but once the feature is rolled out they may be bundled into one, and the option below given to Turn on Incognito. Like with most Incognito Mode your activity is not saved and subscriptions are hidden too. Once you disable the mode, you are back on again. The feature is not rolling out yet, and it might be a server-side roll out. There are also strings relating to the Incognito Mode present within the app. Source
