Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ Sunrise Gold and Burgundy Red Editions announced

Samsung just announced new Sunrise Gold and Burgundy Red color variants of the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ smartphones. These join the Midnight Black, Titanium Gray, Coral Blue, and Lilac Purple versions that were introduced earlier this year. The Galaxy S9  Sunrise Gold is the first smartphone from Samsung to feature a satin gloss finish which wraps the smartphone in a tranquil glow and glimmer. Regarding the new color  variants, Samsung said: The new Sunrise Gold color creates a feeling of both vibrancy and calm. This sophisticated finish was developed to appeal to all users by bringing a stylistic touch of high fashion and urban interior design to a user’s mobile device. The Burgundy Red edition is one of the deepest red colors available featuring restrained gloss for added density and a look that is contemporary and traditional – perfect for users who appreciate luxurious design. The Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ Burgundy Red editions will be available in Korea and China starting in May. Sunrise Gold will also be available in Australia, Chile, Germany, Hong Kong, Korea, Mexico, Russia, Spain, Taiwan, United Arab Emirates and Vietnam starting in June, and will expand to other countries in coming months. The phone packs a 5.84-inch Full HD+ 2.5D curved glass display with a resolution of 2240 x 1080 pixels, 19:9 aspect ratio and has 82.6% screen-to-body ratio, making it compact to hold. It is powered by Octa-Core HiSilicon Kirin 970 10nm SoC with i7 co-processor with 6GB RAM and runs Android 8.1 (Oreo) with EMUI 8.1 on top. Qualcomm to integrate WPA3 security features across mobile and networking products

Qualcomm today announced that it is integrating WPA3 support across mobile and networking infrastructure products. WPA3 was introduced back in January and is the industry’s newest Wi-Fi security and provides robust protection for user passwords and stronger privacy in both public and private Wi-Fi networks. It is also including the recently launched 2x2 802.11ax-ready solution for client devices, the WCN3998, and IPQ807x AP platform. It is aggresively closing known security holes and implementing WPA3 across its portfolio of mobile and networking products. It also provides secure wireless access, even when user's Wi-Fi passwords fall short of common complexity recommendations. Whats more interesting is that users will also be able to take leverage of data privacy protections when using devices in public or open hotspots provided by Opportunistic Wireless Encryption (OWE), It also ensures strong security protections for networking technology used in government, medical and financial networks.
