Flipkart introduces Amazon-like 15-minute check out window for Redmi Note 5 Pro sale

There is a lot to love about Xiaomi phones especially for the price they are offered but the only problem with the devices has been the company’s sale model. It is often seen that buyers keep trying for weeks to get their hands on the desired products and sometimes even they can not buy the color/variant they want. Walmart to acquire 77% stake in Flipkart for $16 billion

Putting an end to the rumors and reports, Walmart has officially confirmed that it has signed an agreement to acquire 77% stake in Flipkart for about $16 billion. The investment will help accelerate Flipkart's customer-focused mission and traansform commerce in India through technology, at the same time boost Walmart’s commitment to sustained job creation and investment in India.  Flipkart’ leadership team will be supported by Walmart, Tencent, Tiger Global, and Microsoft. It is to be noted that the remainder of the business will be held by some of Flipkart’s existing shareholders, including Flipkart co-founder Binny Bansal, Tencent Holdings Limited, Tiger Global Management LLC and Microsoft Corp. However, the immediate focus will be on serving customers and growing the business. Walmart also said that it will support Flipkart’s ambition to transition into a publicly-listed, majority-owned subsidiary in the future. As of the fiscal year that ended March 31, Flipkart recorded GMV of $7.5 billion and net sales of $4.6 billion representing more than 50 percent year-over-year growth in both cases. Optoma UHD51A with Alexa, UHD51 and UHD50 4K Projectors launched in India

Optoma today has launched the UHD51A, UHD51, and UHD50 4K Projectors in India. The UHD51A is the world's first Alexa-enable home theatre projector. These were initially introduced at the CES event earlier in January.  The UHD51A also features a built-in media player, along with a pair of HDMI 2.0 inputs with HDCP 2.2 support for compatibility with latest 4K UHD video playback devices and game consoles with HDR at 60 Hz refresh rates. The Optoma UHD51 and UHD50 are designed with the latest Texas Instruments 4K UHD DLP technology that can produce 8.3 million distinct pixels on the screen. Vodafone launches VoLTE services in Kerala

After Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Goa and Rajasthan,Haryana,  Uttar Pradesh (UP) west, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh (UP) East,  Punjab and Chennai Vodafone has launched VoLTE (Voice Over LTE) services in Kerala. Vodafone is calling it Super VoLTE and said that the technology delivers high-quality sound over voice calls across the Vodafone SuperNet 4G network so that users will experience ultra-clear voice quality and reduced background noise. If you have a VoLTE enabled handset, you can SMS 4G CHECK to 199 to know if you your smartphone is Vodafone Super VoLTE compatible. If you have Dual SIM handset, Vodafone SIM should be inserted in the SIM slot with data capability and network mode should be set as “4G/3G/2G (Auto)”. Vodafone said that it has invested over Rs 6,000 crore till date in Kerala circle including more than Rs 200 crore last year. With the investment, it rolled out over 4000 sites in the last one year, which is equivalent to 11 sites per day. Android Oreo adoption hits 5.7%, Nougat is now on 31.1% devices

Google is out with Android distribution numbers for the month of May and according to the number, Oreo adoption rate now at a decent 5.7% which also includes the Android 8.1 as well. Google announced Android P beta a few hours ago at the I/O 2018 event, which is available in beta for selected devices. Oreo adoption  slowly, yet steadily is increasing which is a good sign for Google. it has seen a solid 1.1% increase in just one month. Android Nougat; both Android 7.0 and Android 7.1 Nougat is now on 31.1% devices; with a jump from 30.8% from April which is again a steady growth. Android 6.0 Marshmallow is now at 25.5%, declining from 26%. The Lollipop operating system adoption now stands at 22.4% down from 22.9%. KitKat OS now stands at 10.3% down from 10.5%. Jellybean is currently at 4.3% down from 4.5%. Gingerbread and Ice Cream Sandwich are at 0.3% and 0.4%, respectively with no change. How to install Android P Beta on Nokia 7 Plus

Few hours back Google released Android P Beta for several smartphones, including Nokia 7 Plus Android One smartphone, making it one of the first smartphones in the world to officially support Android P. Gmail for iOS now lets you send and receive money, snooze e-mails

Google is rolling out a new update to Gmail for iOS using which you can send and receive money, and snooze emails. Using Google Pay with Gmail, you can now send or receive money. This was rolled out for Android last year.  Gmail will send the payments as attachments, and the recipient only needs an email address to receive their money. To send money, open Gmail app on your iOS device and in the bottom right corner of the screen, tap compose and hit attach to enter to enter the amount you want to send and choose a payment method. You can also add a memo which is optional and once you are finished, tap done to send the email. Using the same process, you can also request money from your contacts. To receive money, on your iOS device open the Gmail app and open the message with attached money and tap transfer to the bank. From here you can now add a debit card and enter the required details to claim the cash As for snooze emails, you can hit a snooze button to deal with the Emails later.
