Vodafone launches VoLTE services in UP East
After Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Goa and Rajasthan,Haryana, Uttar Pradesh (UP) west, and Karnataka, Vodafone has launched its VoLTE (Voice Over LTE) services in Uttar Pradesh (UP) East in India. It is currently available in cities of Lucknow, Kanpur, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Allahabad and Faizabad, and, around 26,000 towns and villages in the UP East circle. Vodafone is calling it Super VoLTE and said that the technology delivers high-quality sound over voice calls across the Vodafone SuperNet 4G network so that users will experience ultra-clear voice quality and reduced background noise. If you have a VoLTE enabled handset, you can SMS 4G CHECK to 199 to know if you your smartphone is Vodafone Super VoLTE compatible. If you have Dual SIM handset, Vodafone SIM should be inserted in the SIM slot with data capability and network mode should be set as “4G/3G/2G (Auto)”. Vodafone already said that it will roll out VoLTE in Kolkata soon, and will extended the service across the country in a phased manner over the next few months. American Express launches Amex Pay mobile payment solution in India
American Express has introduced the 'AMEX Pay' mobile payment solution in India that allows eligible Cardholders to make contactless or QR code-based payments to merchants using the mobile app. The AMEX IN mobile app is available for Android and iOS. The Eligible Cardmembers need to log in to the 'Amex IN' mobile app and then register for Amex Pay. Once you have your card registered for Amex Pay, you can make a contactless payment. All you have to do is simply tap your device at a merchant's contactless terminal. There is no need to open your Amex Mobile App to make a contactless payment. [HTML1] In order to make QR Code payments, just select the 'Pay with Bharat QR' option on the AMEX IN app, then scan the QR code, enter the amount if it is not pre-populated, enter your Card PIN then you should see the transaction successful message. RBI orders banks to stop services to those dealing in crypto currencies
At its first Bi-Monthly Monetary Policy Press Conference for the financial year 2018-2019, Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has asked banks to stop having business relationship with the entities dealing with virtual currencies with immediate effect. Regulated entities which already provide such services are also ordered to end relationship within a period of three months. Some of the banks have already banned buying cryptocurrencies using credit and debit cards. RBI said that Virtual Currencies (VCs) raise concerns of consumer protection, market integrity and money laundering, among others. At the Union Budget 2018 in February, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said that the Government will take all measures to eliminate the use of crypto-assets in financing illegitimate activities. However, RBI said that it will promote the use of blockchain – a public ledger that serves as the backbone of bitcoin – in financial services for strengthening transparency and improving inclusion. WhatsApp beta for Android brings locked audio recordings
WhatsApp is rolling out a new beta update for Android bringing the much-talked locked audio recordings feature. The latest beta update brings the app version to 2.18.102. For locked audio recordings feature, you will have to tap the “mic” icon in the chat and, after 0.5 seconds, WhatsApp will show the lock microphone button. Once you see the 'lock microphone button' you will have to slide up your finger for enabling the lock recording. Once you have locked the audio recording, the U.I again lets you navigate back to the chat without holding the microphone button. WhatsApp in the next releases could enable option to listen to your voice message before sending it. Another interesting feature that will be added in the next release is the ability to see the size of a specific stickers pack before downloading it. Thomson to re-enter Indian market with new LED TVs on April 12

Xiaomi to host Supplier Investment Summit in India from April 9 to 11
Xiaomi today announced that it would be organising a Supplier Investment Summit in India from April 9th to April 11.
