Xiaomi and TVF announce strategic partnership for Mi TV

Xiaomi and The Viral Fever (TVF)  today have announced a strategic partnership for the recently launched Mi TV 4 and Mi TV 4A. TVF has announced that all the content including videos and web-series will be available across all Mi TVs. As a part of the promotion, the Viral Fever has released the latest episode of 'Tech Conversations with Dad' which is a show about exasperated youngsters explaining the nuances of technology to their clueless and curious fathers. With this partnership, The Viral Fever's TVFPlay is among the select few partnering content providers for the Mi TV, thus making Xiaomi the largest content aggregator library in India. New JioFi 4G Wireless Hotspot goes on sale for Rs. 999

Reliance Jio introduced the JioFi 3 back in 2016, which we unboxed in early 2017. Last year the company seems to have silently introduced JioFi 4 (JMR1140) and JioFi 5 (JMR814). Now the company has started selling JioFi JMR815, which should be JioFi 6. This measures 74 x 74 x 20mm and weighs just 95g with a 3000mAh, which is bigger than the previous JioFi models. It has indicators for battery, signal and WiFi and has power and WPS buttons. There is a micro USB port for charging. It has a Altair ALT3800 processor, supports band 3 (1800 MHz), 5 (850 MHz) and 40 (TD 2300 MHz) for Jio. It has WiFi 802.11 b/g/n support, similar to other models and lets you connect up to 31 WiFi-enabled devices and a device through USB cable. It also has a microSD card slot that accepts cards up to 64GB. You can make voice and video calls even on a 2G/3G phone by installing Jio4GVoice (JioJoin previously) app and connecting it to the hotspot over WiFi. Huawei P20 Pro with triple rear Leica-cameras – 40MP + 8MP hybrid zoom + 20MP monochrome sensor surfaces

Huawei is on the verge of introducing its flagship smartphones early next week, and before the official launch, the P20 Pro and P20 have surfaced online revealing some of the details about the flagships. The P20 Pro comes with the triple rear cameras with Leica optics. According to latest report, the P20 Pro will come with a 40-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel Telephoto lens with 5x hybrid zoom and finally the 20-megapixel monochrome camera. The P20 Pro is really a trendsetter with triple cameras that pack the essential features that one can ask on a smartphone. The triple rear cameras are supported by an IR-RGB sensor, laser autofocus, aperture sizes between f/1.6 and F/2.4, but it is unclear which sensor uses which aperture.   Huawei is also using a new system called "Light Fusion," but it is unclear what this actually does or means. Like the Samsung Galaxy S9, the P20 Pro is also capable of recording 960 frames per second video. On the front, it will have a 24MP sensor with "Light Fusion." HTC just announced Desire 12 and Desire 12+ smartphones in the Desire series. These have a 5.5-inch and 6-inch HD+ full-screen displays, and the similarity ends there. Nimbus Data ExaDrive DC100 world’s largest capacity 100TB SSD announced

Nimbus Data becomes the new record holder for the largest SSD as the company today has announced the Data ExaDrive DC100 100TB SSD and it is currently being tested with select customers. It will be available to purchase this summer. The company says that the SSD is built for capacity, energy efficiency, longevity, and density and it features a patent-pending architecture, packing up to 100 terabytes of flash in the industry standard 3.5” form factor. It will utilize 3D NAND flash memory providing enough capacity to store 20,000 HD movies or 20 million songs, and is capable of reading and write speeds of 500MB/s. It has a plug-and-play compatible design with existing enclosures, enabling customers to upgrade to an all-flash infrastructure without investing in entirely new all-flash arrays. The Nimbus Data is also offering a guarantee to the drive for five years without restriction. At 100TB SSD, it is 8x more capacity than the largest HDD and offers up to 100K read/write IOps for balanced performance. Like always, these huge capacity SSD's are not targeted to the public but opens up to a possibility.
