HTC VIVE Pro with dual-OLED displays now available for pre-order at $799

Back in January at the CES, HTC had introduced the HTC VIVE Pro with dual-OLED displays, and today the company has announced it is available for pre-order at $799. The company has also announced a price cut of $100 for the current Vive full kit, bringing down its price to $499. The VIVE Pro upgrade packs dual-OLED displays with 2880 x 1600 resolution combined which is a 78% increase in resolution over the current VIVE HMD. The improved resolution brings much sharper text, graphics, and overall experience. The VIVE Pro also features built-in high-performing headphones with a built-in amplifier and dual microphones with active noise cancellation. It also has dual front-facing cameras designed to empower developer creativity. The Vive Pro also features a redesigned head-strap that is capable of balancing the weight of the headset more evenly and features easy simple adjustment buttons for Vive users with glasses. It works with both SteamVR Tracking 1.0 and 2.0. All the pre-orders and orders made before June 3rd will come with a free six-month trial to Viveport Subscription, where consumers can choose up to 5 titles per month from the more than 400 titles available. Vivo just announced X21, the company's latest top-end smartphone in the 'X Series' as it had promised. Micromax invests in AI-based start-up ‘One Labs’, will pre-load inOne all-in-one app on its devices

Micromax today announced that it is investing consumer technology and AI-based start-up ‘One Labs’ with an aim to bring users closer to smarter app user experiences. 'InOne' is a platform with access to apps across multiple platforms including food, shopping, travel, cabs, news, recharge, games and more from within a single app. One Labs also has an AI-enabled voice/chatbot solution called One Assistant that provides virtual assistance to users. The company said that ‘inOne’ will be pre-loaded in its devices and will further enhance the features available to users on its 'Around You' platform. The inOne platform currently hosts around 50+ apps, and some of the apps accessible on the inOne platform include Zomato, Ola, Uber, Flipkart, Amazon, Snapdeal, Housejoy, Nearbuy, Urban Clap, ixigo, and BookMyShow. This will also bring features like price comparison across categories including offline and online stores like Amazon, Flipkart, Snapdeal, Paytm. Following the launch in Mumbai, Airtel recently launched VoLTE services across rest of Maharashtra & Goa. With this option, now Airtel users can enjoy HD quality voice calls with faster call set up time compared to normal voice calls on their VoLTE-compatible 4G handsets. Swiggy, ICICI bank partner to launch digital payment solutions for its delivery partners

Swiggy today announced that it has partnered with ICICI Bank to bring two innovative digital solutions which makes it convenient and hassle-free way for its delivery partners to transfer funds to Swiggy. The payment solution also includes Unified Payment Interface (UPI) for instant fund transfers and other is an option facilitating cash deposits at automated Cash Deposit Machines (CDM) that will be available at ICICI Bank branches and ATM locations across the country. This move is aimed at enabling thousands of Swiggy’s delivery partners to save time and distance traveled for any sorts of financial transactions. Philips Lighting introduces LiFi – Broadband internet connectivity through LED light

Philips Lighting introduces its LiFi technology which is a high quality LED lighting that provides broadband Internet connection through light waves.  It is the first global lighting company to offer LiFi-enabled luminaires from its existing office lighting portfolio. LiFi is a two-way, high-speed wireless technology similar to WiFi but instead, it uses light waves instead of radio waves to transmit data. The Lighting's office luminaires enabled with LiFi technology provide a broadband connection with a speed of 30 Mbps without compromising lighting quality.   Icade, the French real estate investment company is piloting the technology in its smart office in La Defense, Paris.
